The Sacking of Constantinople

Here's my second crusade MOC:

The 4th Crusade started in 1202, and the Crusaders set off to Venice in Italy, who were providing the ships for the journey. The Crusaders however, didn't have enough money to pay the Venetians, and so Venice ordered them to capture some cities off of their trading rivals, the Byzantine Empire, to pay them. The Venetians and the Crusaders first attacked Zara, then Constantinople itself. They sacked and looted Constantinople, and it was never the same again.

An Orthodox priest escapes the fire:

A knight takes a nice looking woman for himself :-$

Yet another soldier takes some loot from a shop owner:

This MOC is good. I like the part of the Crusader slopping his wine. X-O I'm not sure what they're setting fire to, though. You said it was a building, but I just can't figure out what part of the building.

Thanks. I don't know why, but this was the first thought I had for another scene on the Crusades :-/ Mabye I wanted a Byzantine MOC.

There isn't really much left of the building, it's supposed to be almost burnt down. The dome is part of the roof though, and you can just make out a door at the bottom.

That's an intersting moc for an interesting story. The whole thing looks fantastic. The cross shaped slit helmet idea was very creative.
