Wow excellent catch. Yeah they do appear to be more in line with Sabine's design. My theory from the fleet in the final trailer is Pheonix Squadron. Maybe these pilots are apart of it?  OR maybe it's apart of individual pilot's designs. I understand Dave Filoni wanted Sabine to have been the one who designed Bigg's helmet so maybe she had designed other pilot's helmets too? EDIT: I double checked the current U-Wing Pilot and he doesn't have the Alliance Symbol so he still could be apart of it. Edited November 3, 20168 yr by Forresto
November 3, 20168 yr 2017 is looking like a great year for Star wars. I'm welcoming the return of dedicated OT sets again. By the way nice to finally be on here and not a lurker.

I get those sentiments , some selections seem odd, especially with 40th anniversary of ep IV as well.

Welcome aboard Helghan. You must be new to the forum, excited for a Star Wars line up and not nitpicking every small detail of a blurry picture :)
November 4, 20168 yr I wish I could be more excited for the set list leaked so far. I just don't see a need for another Landspeeder, Skiff, or Jedi Fighter, and the Duel of the Fates looks like next year's Carbon Freezing Chamber. It's a set that could have been really cool if it were 2 or 3 times as large, but from what I can see in the leaked photo, it's just silly. While I have a lot of respect for what LEGO is doing with the Star Wars license (much more so than Hasbro, which has driven its license into the ground) I have to question a few of the implementations they've done lately. I'd much rather have seen Encounter on Jakku and the A-Wing/TIE combo sets broken into smaller sets to fit the $30~40 price points, and then elevate Carbon Freezing Chamber and Duel of the Fates to more realistic environments like the Emperor's Throne Room.Â

Duel of the Fates has three main characters from Episode I, all of which were somewhat hard to get unless you bought all the mid-sized sets in the last years, and getting this many Jedi/Sith in a set this size is probably a first. Darth Maul alone is currently worth half that set's price on BL! They could release that set with no bricks whatsoever and it wouldn't be too shabby. Yoda's Starfighter strikes me as, above all else, a weird choice - TCW ended years ago, the starfighter only featured in episodes that weren't seen by a large audience, and it's hardly good looking on its own.

If there's one thing I've learned from checking this forum daily it's that there doesn't seem to be any hesitation on the part of TLG to produce vehicles and playsets from Star Wars content that aired long ago and not even remotely connected to current releases (Rogue One and Rebels, currently). Perhaps the most recent example is Anakin's Custom Starfighter 75087. And that's from Clone Wars, not The Clone Wars, so it isn't even canon. Anything related to A New Hope seems appropriate for right now as it tends to connect both Rogue One and Rebels together. Of course, there are also lots of naysayers who declare, "they'd never make (this ship or playset), that's from YEARS ago!" Never say never, I guess.
November 4, 20168 yr There will be a minifig of Admiral Raddus, in dark blue with a dark bluish gray plastron printed (and printed legs) I assume it's the second fig in the Y-Wing, between the pilot and Moroff

If so, it'll be a great minifig!

I don't have the original Skiff or Landspeeder so I'm all up for them. This also presents a unique opportunity to get another Lando figure which is hard to come by. Admittedly, I haven't seen the other sets and am only going off of their names. I typically don't buy the sets anymore save really interesting or well crafted ones. Battlepacks also usually sucker me in.

Yoda's starfighter looks terrible, while Duel of the Fates has too many technic elements exposed. The only set around that price which is attractive to me is the Phantom 2.0... at least it looks decent and comes with Thrawn.

November 5, 20168 yr If the hanger is from the one from Yalvin IV Im thinking that Admiral Raddus will be in that set along with Mon Motha and other figures. They could do the Death Star thing and have characters from Rogue One and ANHÂ
November 5, 20168 yr So are we getting Lando? Because the only possibility would have been if we got a Rebel hanger from Episode VI, but looks like we are getting the one from A New Hope? Â

As said, Lando isn't in the skiff set, nor has he been confirmed for a hangar set. In fact, we still don't know IF there will be a hangar said (this set has never been confirmed unlike all the others) and from which movie that set is going to be.

November 5, 20168 yr I know it's a little ways away, but we WILL get LANDO eventually. There's no way they'd have a Han Solo movie and not do sets for it. LANDO is confirmed for that flick, so maybe they're gonna wait for that.
November 5, 20168 yr Wow. I'm not a minifig collector, but if the Y-Wing comes with Moroff and Admiral Raddus, it's going to be a must-buy!

November 6, 20168 yr I think the y-wing and phantom 2.0 are looking like the better sets to come out of this wave... Â Battle at the bunker could be good for minifigs, I like the shore troopers.
