It doesn't affect me being over here in the UK and all but I'd imagine that's very frustrating for North Americans.  Either way, back on topic - you know the Y-Wing product photo? Is that attachment on the end of Moroff's gun (the grey bracket with the brown clips) actually part of the set, or is it a piece used to prop up the character that just hasn't been photoshopped out yet (Like those dish piece stands from last year's images) ?
November 29, 20168 yr There are picures of the backside of some boxes. Don't know if it's ok to post them. - Thrawn definitely does NOT have red eyes. - Even on his alternative facial expression - which is a standard angry scream. I'm gonna spare a comment on how the designers came to the conclusion Thrawn needs such an expression. - He has a bit of gold printing "on" his shoulders. - The Phantom has decent space, accessible from a ramp at the back. Depending on how far it will go in, you could squeze in 1-2 figures. - no interessting features visible on the other sets, that weren't visible anyway, except for the already reviewed RO sets.

Angry Thrawn, you say? Highly, highly disappointing that he does not have red eyes though. Custom decal it is.

If the images aren't watermarked it should surely be ok to post them right? After all, box art for the Death Star was allowed when the set wasn't revealed yet, and we were allowed those Moroff/U-Wing fighter/Scarif trooper leaks.
November 29, 20168 yr Just because he dosnt have red eyes on the box dosnt mean he dosnt have them in the set. There was plain legs for vader on the TIE vs Awing set.

November 29, 20168 yr I beg to differ on the topic of Thrawn's red eyes... Edited November 29, 20168 yr by Sir Gareth

November 29, 20168 yr It's too low res to judge Thrawn eyes color on this, and if Sir Gareth's profile pic is accurate he definitly has red eyes.Â
November 29, 20168 yr Again TLG box art is and has not been reliable to figure printing the last few years. As someone previously mentioned take Darth Vader's legs on the A-Wing set. Thrawn's red eyes are so distinctive, and so famous, I cannot see the designers screwing that part up unless they intended to make his eyes black for some reason. However I seriously doubt the latter as even Thrawn's pupils are red and the skin around the eyes are pink. No black on those eyes anywhere. So i'm not concerned until we see the mini figure.   Â
November 29, 20168 yr I agree that box arts are not the best indicator of the actual print... but it's really disturbing how that remarkable feature from Thrawn would be missed out. Personally, I think that it is just a red sharpie away but for some people it would be blasphemous.
November 29, 20168 yr According to the back of box images leaked a few hours ago (in the usual place one find these kinds of things)... Thrawn's eyes actually look clear. The resolution seems high enough to confirm this. As in his eyes are simply a thin black line around and inside them isn't red but... the blue of his skin tone. Makoy, would sharpie ink remain on Lego? I would have thought the high quality plastic wouldn't absorb any kind of ink. Never tried it. Ohhh... I adore the missle loading winch for the Y Wing!
November 29, 20168 yr It's not a mistake, Thrawn will NOT have red eyes. Can't quite tell if they are clear or even a bit blue or green. But they will not be red. I suggest opening a thread or move this to the "minifig update" thread, since many will be interested (including myself) to bash Lego for this & in DIY solutions - should be easy, since the original Thrawn never had pupils anyway.

I once used a sharpie on one of my Flash headpieces to make it black (for a Zoom custom) and the ink stayed on nicely. I also used Sharpie ink on some red legs to make one side black (for a Deathstroke MOC) and that ink is still on there today. So, I imagine so. Anyway, I don't know how to feel about this. It's not something to rant about, but it's certainly disappointing such a key element of his character would be left out, for no apparent reason either. If they can print heavily detailed faces and figures with the yellow sith eyes surely they can stick some red eyes on Thrawn.
November 29, 20168 yr Given the outstanding level of detail we've been given over the last few years, it does seem so unlike Lego to make such a basic error. But these things are subject to change when it comes to box art so we just need to wait for the physical figure to be photographed.Â
November 29, 20168 yr That y wing looks really good. Â The bunker will be a must get as well as the empire battle pack.
November 29, 20168 yr Question about the upcoming Landspeeder set from A New Hope. This will obviously be a smaller set. My assumption is that these smaller sets (under $40 or so) tend to NOT have stickers. So does this mean that there is a good chance that this new version of the Landspeeder will be "superior" to the one we just had in the Cantina set? The Landspeeder is the only set that interests me from this wave. Edited November 29, 20168 yr by Something_Awesome
November 29, 20168 yr Old one did, I doubt the new one does, the Ghost I think is a retired product now, or will be very soon.
November 29, 20168 yr the new leaked pictures are still not high res enough to show if thrawn has completely colorless eyes or has a reddish tint inside them. well hera has blue in her eyes so it won't make sense if thrawn doesnt have colored eyes.
November 29, 20168 yr Is it just me or is the pilot in the new 75172: Y-wing Starfighter exactly the same as the pilot from the 75155: Rebel U-wing Fighter set - including the helmet? You'd think they could come up with something to differentiate the two...
November 29, 20168 yr Loving the Battle of Scarif set (even if they didn't do a very good job of hiding Andor's alternate expression with the hair piece selected and the bunker is just a facade). I can see it being a great centre piece to a diorama with Rebels/Imperials battling it out and the inevitable AT-ACT set. The vegetation techniques remind me a bit of those used in last year's Pirates sets and should be easy to replicate in order to supplement the build. I'm a bit worried that the Empire leaves the Death Star plans just sitting on a rack inside the front door of the bunker though...reminds me of a magazine in a waiting room!
