But the aliens at least come out looking less generic and some actually get some decent printing (Even the droids get decent printing and sculpting). The people on the other hand usually come out looking like generic nameless army builders. Both of Jyn's appearances are marred by this generic look and lack of effort. A special hairpiece in the Scariff set would have set her apart from the many nameless imperial minifigures we get (Or the unending amount of female characters that Lego slaps this overused hairpiece on).

Well I do agree about that irritating fact that a few heads are used over and over again, especially the 3626cpb1367 and the 3626cpb1032, I'm so tired of them. But I liked all the human main characters of Rogue one so far, except the hairpiece of Jyn like u mentioned they are doing a good job with all non-generic figures I think. BTW have you thought of using the hairpiece for Satele Shan for Jyn? That is what I got for her

I too have totally had it with the headset head! I also agree about the Satele hair piece- the side bits look good but the back's too long though.

On a different note, I was wondering about the rumoured Vader transformation set. Any chance it could actually be/incorporate

the bacta tank scene from rogue one?

I was wondering the same thing. Though I would happy with either (or both).

What minifigs would they include?  Or would they just repeat ones we already have like Bohdi?  Maybe a Galen Erso and a regular stormtrooper, but that's a bit of a stretch.

There is no Saw Gerrera or Galen Erso fig, even though both characters are not featured in the cargo shuttle. And they do that in other sets. Krennic's Shuttle has K-2SO, Pao and Bhodie Rook even though they never gets in that shuttle...

Didn't notice this before, and I dont think anyone's pointed it out, but the constraction Chirrut uses a pearl gold pneumatic t-piece on his gun. Always wonderful to get that piece in a new colour

In the same way we are getting a Guavvian Death Gang set this upcoming year I do imagine we will get Saw Garrera's crew in a set. I feel for the designers though, he's not an easy figure to make because of the armor. The hair would probably be Lando's with some grey highlights.

I can confirm NO Rogue One 2017 sets spotted in the Chesapeake Bay region as of yet.

Well yeah, they're not coming out in the US until March. They're not even available on the online store. Lego even confirmed so themselves (bastards never did that when Australia got delays up the wazoo...)

Wait. The new sets aren't coming until March in the US? Where did you find this confirmed?

Why do we get them three months later though is what I wonder? Im in no rush to buy them, I need to take a break from buying for a few months, but why is there such a gap?

The box are different because they show the piece count and are therefore printed in the US.
Also most of the parts are made in the Mexico factory but not all from what I understood. That means that some parts are shipped from Europe to Mexico for set assembly.
This would explain why we don't get them at the same time as the rest of the world.
(This is my opinion and not official)

This is slightly off topic but I find it funny that Americans are complaining about a late release for the star wars set when they got the lego batman movie, city, and other themes I can't currently remember almost three months before the rest of the world. I just found it interesting, that's all.

The vader transformation set could be really useful for me if it comes with the new vader mask as I do not have this yet.

*I mentioned a spoiler when I was told not to!*

I would personally love to see the rail speeder! I think that could be a unique and good set!

On the other hand they included

Moroff

in a set so I don't see why not. And

two sets were based around the sequences they featured in

so Lego doesn't seem to be trying to dissociate themselves from that part of the film. It'd also give us the chance to get

the short alien dude and Saw's alien lieutenant in a set, they don't necessarily need to include those faceless guys with the turbans

Is it the first time Australia and Asia is ahead of schedule in getting Star Wars sets?

Lego's been around for long enough for that to seem kinda unlikely, but its certainly the first time in recent years. According to one TRU employee, we weren't even supposed to, Lego told them they would, as per usual, not get stock for a few months. And then the stock turned up a week later

Indeed. North America often gets things earlier than the other continents, admittedly it's a nice change to see the Americans have to wait a little rather than the rest of the world.

I found a pretty good review of the Phantom:

I still really love this set, but that underside, underneath the cockpit...Eek, that could've been done a lot better. They certainly have the resources to make that better, and having some more pieces would make the price point seem more appealing, too.

I really don't like the rear view of the phantom. Could they not have put translucent orange or blue instead of the tan bricks to represent engines? The tan just looks really out of place to me.

The new Phantom looks very good (Only if the price isn't that ridiculous :hmpf_bad:), but why the engine exhaust is only represented by two tan bricks !? Even just a couple of translucent bricks or stickers would make it looks much better than just...... that.

Still a good set to get, but only with discount.

We've been pampered with 30-50% discount... for more than 2 months now, it's hard to return to RRP.

Just wait for the Rooster CNY promotion. :)

Europe got the summer Marvel sets three months before America, Lego is constantly doing this to someone, someone is always left wanting. So, it's possibly in bad form to be glad when someone else doesn't get it just because at times you have to wait, every region has experienced the wait. Take the complaint to Lego, they're the ones who deserve it, it's their choice.

Good suggestion, other than the back of the hair doesn't work at all.
