Amusingly, it reminds me of the Ancient One from the Doctor Strange line. That is a spot on comparison , "How would you describe the Snoke Lego minifig ?" "A scarred bald Tilda Swinton"

I think you are right, re the sets and pricing In terms of other sets I was thinking there could be a speeder or vehicle from the Casino planet (Canto Bight) , which would include Finn, Rose and "DJ" (Del Toro's character) No idea which set Luke is going to be with (though I am sure he will be with a Battle set in the 2nd wave)  3 minutes ago, Richpepperell said: Brilliant - I'm not working! I may need to be working a 2nd job to afford all of these sets, and if the 2nd UCS set of the year is what we think it will be, maybe a 3rd
May 26, 20177 yr  Does anyone remember if in the first wave of TFA there was a playset or they were all vehicles? Battle on Takodana was in the Winter Wave with the BattlePacks, and Encounter on Jakku was in the 2016 Summer Wave. Â
May 26, 20177 yr So far no autumn wave has been a location, neither TFA nor R1, so would not expect one now either...Â

May 26, 20177 yr As I tought. I am sure that after watching the movie I will be very excited for the Winter Wave!

May 26, 20177 yr i can't tell - is it definitely Poe as the last figure in the bomber, or possible someone else?
May 26, 20177 yr Shame about the walker ,I like the lego set but I wish the new trilogy creators relied on imagination not nostalgia for their designs. May 26, 20177 yr The Resurgent class Star Destoryer maybe the most gorgeous sytem scale model i've seen. The Resistance bomber looks really cool but im not really interested. Gorrila walker...im sorry but that looks a hot mess. That may not be the designers fault but what kills me is the head design.

Canon wise, the First Order technology is just an updated version of the Empire's. After the battle of Jakku the Empire went in the Unknown Regions to reorganize, and the Imperial Fleet transformed into the First Order so it makes sense that 30 years later they would have similar but updated version of the Empire's vehicles (Walkers and Star Destroyers) or super weapons (Starkiller Base).

Canon wise the empires technology is also just updated and upgraded republic technology. Plus when has logic really applied to star wars? I honestly wish these movies had more original designs, the bomber looks cool but isn't really awe inspiring or interesting. I hope that there's at least one new design that is not only new but has that actual star wars feel to it, rogue one gave us the U wing so I'm hopeful

Interesting how different people see the Gorrila Walker, as they say beauty is in the eye of the beholder and I actually really like it, the more I look at it , the more I like it. Whereas the Star Destroyer was most definitely "love at first sight"
May 26, 20177 yr Long, long time lurker who finally decided to jump into the conversation. The Last Jedi sets revealed contain the two rumored sets I was most looking forward to (Star Destroyer and the First Order walker) and I find them both quite 'eh'. The Star Destroyer appears to be disappointingly small, which isn't much of a surprise given how the current re-dos of sets (think 75055) have trended that way. The walker looks clunky, boxy, and just unfinished. It doesn't flow nearly as nicely as the AT-AT. The Resistance ship is interesting but doesn't really pique my interest either. All in all it's underwhelming to me. The minifigs are great in both appearances and numbers, though! Anxious to see the sets 'in the flesh' and make a final decision but I'm on the "pass" side of the fence to start.

May 26, 20177 yr Interesting to note is that in one set Poe is referred as "Poe Dameron" and in the other one as "Captain Poe Dameron". So during he will probably get a promotion before the battle with the walkers, near the end of the movie.

There are certainly a number of story rumours of what proceeds his promotion, and how he acts in his new role
May 26, 20177 yr Hey guys, it's been a while. Â Can someone give me an update as to what I've missed? I haven't been on this topic for over two months now.
May 26, 20177 yr Tilda Swinton, now I can't unsee... I share Forresto's feelings about these sets, I'm really not into this new trilogy but I'll take any cool looking Imperial captial ship that's for damn sure and this one looks really nice, really digging all those plating details, especially the ingot pieces. Not too much a fan of all these stud shooters but they don't pop out too much. Hurrah for the sergeant pauldron included in the set too. I don't care about the bomber much, this color palette really turns me off. The heavy assault walker looks really weird, I don't know about this one. My only gripe is the number of mini-figs included with the Star Destroyer, 5 excluding the admitedly cool black bb-8 for that much cash, especially since 2 of these can be found in a single battlepack is a bit dissapointing. Sure there's snoke in it but just bricklink the ancient one from Dr. Strange. I may even bricklink the ship only.Â
