I don't really get the dimensions though?! I find it hard to believe Lego would release a UCS BB8 with only ~1,000 parts, unless it's super blocky using larger parts and it would look awful. I built a grapefruit sized ball as an ion cannon for my Hoth display, and that had over 1,000 parts in it. Anio's BB8 has over 2,000 parts. There are 3 possible scenarios: The box weight, and hence the part count is wrong. It isn't UCS. Its the lamest UCS set ever.

This sums up my point - the grapefruit sized ball on the right has over 1,000 parts in it, a BB8 would need a head too so it's either pitifully small, a blocky sphere or the box weight we've seen is wrong (though $90 price tag suggests not). No ways it's a UCS.

Never tried something like that. 18 hours ago, Sir von Lego said: I did see it and it looked good. And so ? How is it design ? Details ? Printed parts (dishes) ? UCS stand ? Describe it ! I'm with anio on this, it's cool you leakers are trusted but being vague when responding to discussions only leads to more questions and pointless speculation that clutters this place up. The least you can do is clear up some rumours.
June 9, 20177 yr Sir von Lego already stated in the past that it had a UCS stand. You guys also have to understand that there's only so much people who have or are sources can say before they get into trouble. Personally I think it's good enough to know that Sir von Lego has seen stuff and can separate the truth from fake rumors without having to spill all beans.

June 10, 20177 yr Maybe a little off-topic but since it's a 2017 set, has anyone noticed how the new first order battlepack speeder took inspiration from an unused concept of the Force Awakens?

The original concept art had the speeder fly in the direction shown above but Abrams thought it would look better and more Star Wars-y if it was the other way round so that the windshields would become backrests. So technically there is a full Lego set of the concept art, however regarding its minimal presence in the film ?... Edited June 11, 20177 yr by Lobot : Please don't quote images
