Yep! I'm just hoping they release on the 16th in retailers, the only one really near me is Argos.

That didn't happen last year in the UK(when the release date was 26th December) , it took a bit of time for the retailers to put theirs out. Except for battle packs and micro fighters - which some shops did early.

I haven't read the forum in a couple of days. Can anyone tell me when the US sets will be released?

Most likely Jan 1st.

How glad am I that I stopped collecting Star Wars LEGO back this march. Another A-wing, Skiff, Landspeeder etc in combination with these f****d up prices make me believe that it was the right desicion...

but: nice minifigures which I still collect..((-;

greetings.   Hendrik

Stop slamming LEGO. They're a business. As long as they know there are people who will buy them, they will make the sets.

But yeah, I am disappointed with some of the sets this year, just… not disappointed enough to hint at the f-word.

With the risk of going off topic, sorry administrators... but I'm sure if one is around people daily that are not nuns, then hearing people saying megabluck about something is daily, so I see that hard to be something to be upset about...

Oh for God's sake. Why are you even here then? What on earth does this add to the discussion of 2017 Set PICTURES and RUMOURS. All you're doing is telling us about when you stopped collecting and how annoying prices are. So what?!

I'm sick of people coming on here JUST FOR THE SOLE PURPOSE of slamming Lego! Nothing to do with the topic at all! Yes I get that negative opinions should be allowed and it's the natural progression of the topic (which is fair enough), and that it's apparently North Korea in here for disproving of highly negative views or something, but come ON.

In the same way that we'd probably all raise an eyebrow if some troll was on here going "THESE SETS ARE AMAZZZIINNNNG AAAAH OMG OMG OMG LEGO IS BAE" every 5 seconds, it's equally aggrivating when people just repeat the same old opinions every 5 minutes!

Yes I think opinions should be allowed here as it is indeed the natural progression of discussion, but as far as I'M concerned (someone who's was recently timed out for being off topic), this is just plain aggravating....

My formal apologies to the admins for straying off the subject, but I thought this was necessary to bring discussions back on topic.

Just because 10 people expressed their disappointment doesn't mean the other 5000 disappointed people shouldn't be allowed to do so too. It's not "slamming" TLG to point out the things that have caused you to consider giving up your hobby, or reduce your collecting habits. They can't please everyone, and certainly not all at once, so there will always be people that feel let down. Just let the disappointed people share their opinion on a discussion forum (that is most definitely ON topic, mind you) in-between the posts from pleased people sharing their differing opinions. You won't get far in life if you can't get along with people whose opinions differ. This is a discussion site, not a fanboy site. Most posts are saying "I like this but I don't like that". How else is TLG supposed to know what people want? "I'm dissatisfied, and here's my reason" is not slamming.

Please keep your posts focused on upcoming 2017 sets or legitimate rumors about them. Please also keep your negativity to a minimum. This will help keep this thread useful and enjoyable for everyone.

With the recent Rebels "An Inside Man" we are closer than ever to getting a new TIE Defender. I believe it is a real possibility we will see a new TIE Defender, either in the spring wave (unlikely), summer wave (most likely), the fall wave (least likely as that will be for Episode VIII sets mainly), or maybe 2018 (although hype would be lower). I think the TIE Defender is not only likely but would be a great choice and I can't wait to see more than the schematics in Rebels.

Didn't realise the UK date was the 16th. Think I might get that Skiff set day one; it's new for me AND I'll qualify for the A-wing pilot they're giving away.

Ooooh, who's giving away the A-wing pilot in the UK?

My local Target in the USA has the new Battle Packs for sale. I'm stunned to see them this early. I haven't tried purchasing any yet so I have no idea if they're even supposed to be up right now or if it was an error by whomever was stocking the shelves.

Truth be told we"re more likely to get a Tie Interceptor or bomber first as both have appeared on the show as actual ships. Now if the Defender is shown as a real working ship and not just schematics I will be more inclined at its possibilities.

Either way I hope we get one. im not against TLG producing more ties.

Yes! This got reopened!

Thanks mods :)

It seems like to me that for its price and size, the A-wing is a little bit lacking on play features. Sure, we're adults, but sets of those size are aimed at kids as well, so it's kinda strange there aren't any interesting play features.

I like the Desert Skiff's Sarlacc's mouth. Much more movie accurate.

Yoda's Jedi Starfighter is a good piece count, but looks like a small final product.

Duel on Naboo is a decent piece count, but looks like quite a large final build, so that's good.

Landspeeder is… eh. LEGO knows it'll sell well to kids who want it for the figures, but otherwise… it's not that great a set, especially at that price. Throw in a new moulded bantha and it will fly off the shelves.

I really like this wave! It has some great figures and some solid entries.

Does anyone know the USD prices though? Also Vader's Transformation and the Death gang(fingers crossed for a rathtar) are set for summer release right?

I don't know if anyone's seen the newest batch of Rogue One TV spots today but...

there are a couple of ships from Rebels that people have been wanting sets of in a scene above Scarif - namely the Hammerhead and a certain VCX freighter

They could be making sets from Rogue One for a while based on this!

Don't really know the exact prices. Those sets should be out in the summer.

Actually I thought that those two were going to be  retailer exclusives (Toys R Us, etc) can anyone confirm or deny this?

Thank you!

That would be very interesting, I wouldn't mind that too much as normally given enough time the sets appear on Amazon or similar retailers. Hopefully they are actual sets and not like polybags or a promotional thing. That'd make them harder to get for people.  And drive the price up significantly on other markets.
