bountybossk Posted July 29, 2016 Posted July 29, 2016 Ha! If one of the new 2017 sets is the Outrider seen in the Rebels S3 trailer, it would be the second version designed by LEGO. I never knew that one of the alternative builds of the 6211 Star Destroyer is the Outrider. Just found out by checking images of the box. Pretty cool! Quote
strangely Posted July 29, 2016 Posted July 29, 2016 And this hair will most likely not appear on bricks n pieces since lego knows that we all want to update our han figs with this wig :-( I don't know, I thought the same thing about the new Leia face and now every variation of her I have has that face, so you never know. There's some pretty rare stuff that pops up on there from time to time, so there's a decent chance it'll be added too. Quote
Fightingswords Posted July 29, 2016 Posted July 29, 2016 (edited) *snip* Did Han get into Batman's(LBM) closet? Edited July 29, 2016 by Lobot : Please don't quote images, thanks :-) Quote
General Magma Posted July 29, 2016 Posted July 29, 2016 (edited) New hairpiece for Han looks phenomenally better than the old one. I bet they'll be dropping one into the Desert Skiff as well, so they won't be too hard to come by. * pic of Han in cabron * Did Han get into Batman's(LBM) closet? "That one's culturally insensitive." Jbricks Posted July 29, 2016 Posted July 29, 2016 Maybe 2017 is the year that Star Wars men go the way of Superheroes women and move out of the same-hair club. Han's confirmed (albeit probably in 2016), Lando is in a set, and Lego has yet to do a black mans hairpiece other than Finn's since Finn's first appearance, and Obi-Wan in the land speeder could be given the Agent Chase hair in grey. That would leave only ESB/ROTJ Luke as having the traditional hairpiece. Quote
HawkLord Posted July 29, 2016 Posted July 29, 2016 And honestly the classic men's hairpiece works well for ROTJ Luke. Quote
Jbricks Posted July 29, 2016 Posted July 29, 2016 And honestly the classic men's hairpiece works well for ROTJ Luke. Yes, and I don't mind it on Obi-Wan either. It's just that on ALL 4 of the male major human protagonists, it was annoying. Quote
nymmerod Posted July 29, 2016 Posted July 29, 2016 I can't express how glad I am that Han Solo will stop looking like Peter Griffin and start looking like Han Solo. Quote

Tariq j Posted July 29, 2016 Posted July 29, 2016 I wonder whether the Duel of the Fates will be a Final Duel/Palpatine's arrest type set with a modular Theed Palace. Hopefully Lego will include Padme and possible some more Naboo guards in that set. Quote

However there could be an exception... and a hole in my wallet. Quote
The Kid Posted July 29, 2016 Posted July 29, 2016 If this year's winter wave sets are anything to go by, I'd wager that the Duel of the Fates set will be similar to the Carbon Chamber - a circular pit area around the same height, maybe with a small walkway leading away with a ray shield (not sure how they'd represent that in LEGO, though). I'd be pretty happy with that, too - particularly if it meant getting those three minifigures in the £20/25 price bracket. Quote

Hopefully Lego will include Padme and possible some more Naboo guards in that set. It won't be on the same scale as Palpatines Arrest for sure as its a winter wave set unfortunately. Possibility that a summer set could link together to this set though like the Rancor Pit and Palace but even that's a long shot. Also I can only see these three figures in the set as rumoured. Quote

For the ray shields, they could either use this part with a door frame, or this part in trans-red. Thay could make it removable as well, so it wouldn't always have to be there. Quote
Venkefedo Posted July 30, 2016 Posted July 30, 2016 And honestly the classic men's hairpiece works well for ROTJ Luke. Definitely. Part's on the correct side, they've updated to dark tan, it's all good there. Very glad to see a new Han hair! Much better than the basic male hair or brown Old Han hair (which is great for a number of other characters, but never quite right for OT Han). If Skiff Han has that hair, then that's at least an improvement over the Carbon Freeze minifig! Quote
Aethersprite Posted July 30, 2016 Posted July 30, 2016 Sir von Lego says 2 OT Stormtroopers in the Imperial Battlepack next year Here's hoping that's 2 Stormies and 2 Death Troopers, with no custom markings. That'd make a brilliant army builder set. Quote
strangely Posted July 30, 2016 Posted July 30, 2016 (edited) And honestly the classic men's hairpiece works well for ROTJ Luke. It doesn't look bad, but I would gladly take an update. I think that the hair is maybe a little short for Luke. My bigger problem with that hairpiece is it stands out from the others quite a bit now. Almost all of the modern hairpieces are textured to some degree, Luke's old hair looks oddly smooth in comparison. I can easily live with it, it's pretty close, but perhaps a more detailed mold might sync with the other new hairpieces better. Edited July 30, 2016 by strangely Quote
Forresto Posted July 30, 2016 Posted July 30, 2016 If stormies have hip printing I hope it matches with the current OT stormies torso print so we can retroactively update our armies of battle damaged ones. Quote
Klaus-Dieter Posted July 30, 2016 Posted July 30, 2016 Thank you very much for updating the first post, Stash2Sixx! So Yoda's Hut seems to be the set nr. 75168 and come with R2-D2, Yoda and possibly another minifigure (of course Luke?!). Great! I'm not that hyped about the Desert Skiff since it won't include any new minifigure. It's a good idea TLG including a Tusken in the new Landspeeder. Like many of you, I'm so much hoping for Bantha here. That strange set withe the set number 75179 and Lando, a Rebel Pilot and a crewman included: For only three minifigures and since we haven't had an OT A-Wing since 2013, could this set be a new OT A-Wing? I can't see 2 deathtroopers in a BP happening though sadly, maybe a shoretrooper as the fourth one... I would't complain at all about this though, this sounds like the best BP we've had for a long time. Edited July 30, 2016 by RetroInferno Quote

Can't see them drastically improving on its design. Quote

Jedi-Bendu Posted July 30, 2016 Posted July 30, 2016 Please not an A-Wing again. There's currently one with Vader's TIE. A-Wing, Skiff, Landspeeder....all stuff that has been released in the last 3 years.....and still no sign of a Cloud Car, Rebel transport or TIE Bomber. Quote

I'm waiting for an Interceptor, a smaller-than-UCS Slave I and a Sentinel class landing craft. Especially the landspeeder seems like a weird choice. The one from the Mos Eisley cantina set is still perfect. Quote
Deathstroke77 Posted July 30, 2016 Posted July 30, 2016 Yeah, a new Slave I at a decent price would be very welcome. Quote
