In-universe the Delta-7 Aethersprite Light Interceptor (episode 2 model) doesn't feature a full droid socket is what I meant. Every lego model featured with a full astromech socket actually has one in-universe.

The naboo starfighters are technically only an astromech head, as when the unit enters the starfighter the head is separated from the body and lifted up to the front, and Lego added a full socket for all the recent versions. I think lego will add a socket just for the sake of play value.

I don't see how this is supports your theory. The head doesn't separate, it telescopes upward. At least according to incredible cross-sections, the lower body in the movie probably just enters some kind of extra-dimensional pocket like the lower body does in the movie eta-2's (the lower half of the legs/torso literally disappear in the movie). Adding a socket ruins the sleekness of the craft, on top of it not being canon. I would hate that personally. LEGO eta-2 already look really silly with a fullsize socket. I'm hoping they just add the lower body separate like they did with the LEGO V-wing.

I always prefer ships with astromech sockets. It'd be better for kids to play with too. Just an astromech head with nothing beneath it looks even sillier in my opinion.

That's because you can't see the underside in the movie. But you can see the whole ship in the movie.

Anyway, is Tracker I supposed to be like a Freemaker Adventures TIE Defender? And WTH is Arrowhead? Have these appeared in The Freemaker Adventures yet? (Sorry, not an expert on the show)

Any chance or information about Star Wars Rebels sets releasing in 2017 besides the Phantom 2?

There is little to no chance of there being another Rebels set in 2017, unfortunately. :hmpf_bad: We already have Prelims for summer wave and a practically confirmed set list for the rest we haven't seen (with the fall wave being episode 8 exclusively). So, no.

They have not yet appeared, but Disney XD is planning a second season so these with probably be seen a lot in this new season. Seems like Freemakers is not going away any time soon.

So you can or can't see the whole ship?

Also it just looks like a normal on the bottom, not sure how that would change anything.  And both the original model and the UCS one just had the dome like the movie and looked fine.

Haha, woops, I meant "But you can see the whole ship when you have it in LEGO."

Having just the head on top and merely a thin plate beneath it would look out of proportions.

I'm okay with it staying, as long as there aren't new sets based on it.

I second this. Also, nothing is more frustrating for astromech collectors when the astromech parts are incomplete.. no one wants just the dome piece.

It's possible they will design the starfighter like plo koons where the astromech is in the middle of the ship although that is not where the astromech is in ep 2.

Oh no. I'd definitely prefer one where it is on the wing. Having it in the center is the wrong type of Jedi Starfighter

That's the 7b model (TCW tv-show version), where the droid is seated in a full socket in the center. We have enough of those already imo.

Wow, I saw the prototype Republic Fighter Tank and Vader's Transformation! They both look exceptional!

Best part: No [confidential] watermark, so I presumably can post them here? (If not Mods please notify me via PM):

[EDIT: Link removed, find on reddit.]

HD images or the proto images that have been up for a couple of days?

HD images of prototype models.

I'm guessing Vader's Transformation will use a carbon-freezing chamber-like mechanism: pull the lever out to lower Anakin, turn it to rotate Vader (who is on the other side), and push up Vader to recreate that scene. Also, why does it only show 3 figures? Vader, Palpatine, Burnt Anakin, 21-B, FX-9 Droid = 3??

Just saw the much clearer pics of Vader's Transformation and the Republic Tank and boy do they look good.

As an owner of the previous version of the tank I am very pleased theg shrunk the newer model down to the proper size, the old one is way too big!

Vader's Transformation is most definitely a $40 (USD) of that I have no doubt. Three figures and of that size and detail, no way its under forty.

That sucks for y'all. It'll probably be $70 where I live then, which is the same as $30 sets, so it probably won't matter.

Sounds like my country with prices like that.

Regarding the TIE Bomber rumour: I don't doubt nrg for a second.

Funny thing is that today rumours surfaced regarding Kylo Ren's personal TIE Advanced in VIII (different desing than the bomber).

2 TIE's on Force Friday?

Could someone link/quote me to nrg's original message regarding the rumour? I've been actively following this thread but I seemed to have missed out on his rumour. if it came from him, I'd believe it.
