Don't think it will be delayed. The Lego store calendar for September was already released and it mentioned two VIP early access sets. One is the train and the other has to be the Death Star. I would expect a reveal within the next two weeks of Lego sticks to their release pattern.

I hope it's not delayed, because I really want a DS that is not a playset and that is not overpriced like on Brick link. I wish it has a modern design, like the new Beetle is to the old one (little to no visible studs is my jam).

Well I'm pretty sure it's going to be a playset but still like nice on display.

Yeah, I said event because I see that EB don't like our conversations about leaked images...

LEGO has asked multiple sites, I would think, to remove the images. So we had them removed/hidden. Although, I can clearly see that Brick show still has them up on their website, but Brothers brick has removed their images.

Death Star should not be delayed until 2017, although LEGO has done things like this in the past...case in point UCS Slave I. As far as my sources have told me, Holiday Train and Death Star are the two VIP early releases in September.

Now, 2017 set rumor discussion only. The chamber is now open and I'm going to throw every one of you in that fill this thread with garbage that does not belong in here.

About the rumored Duel of the Fates set, I wish that it's something like the Palpatine Arrest set from 2012. But since the set is romored to been a winter wave set and most of the winter wave sets are smaller and cheaper than the summer wave, Something like this would have enough to me (But, also with a less ridiculous price tag like it).

I think the Duel of the Fates set may end up being a pretty decent size. If we compare the placement of the set numbers in the rumoured list to what we got in this year's Winter wave it should give us a bit of an idea what to expect:

Microfighters

75160: ???

75161: ???

75162: ???

75163: ???

Battle Packs

75164: Rogue One - Rebel Battle Pack

75165: Rogue One - Imperial Battle Pack

75166: ???

75167: ???

$24.99 Price Range (Jedi Inteceptor, Droid Escape Pod, Carbon Freeze Chamber, Hoth Attack)

75168: Yoda's Hut

75169: Luke's Landspeeder

75170: Rebels - Admiral Thrawn set

75171: Unknown Rogue One set

$59.99 Price Range (Battle of Takodana)

75172: Unknown Rebels set

$69.99 Price Range (Resistance Troop Transporter)

75173: Duel of the Fates

1st Retail Exclusive - $19.99 Price Range (Kanan's Speeder Bike)

75174: Desert Skiff

Missing Set Numbers - Buildable Figures?

75175: ???

75176: ???

75177: ???

75178: ???

2nd Retail Exclusive - $29.99 Price Range (Holming Spider Droid)

75179: ROTJ Lando set

Keep in mind this is all just guesswork.

I don't know if all the set numbers are accounted for but are we getting any more Rogue One sets in the winter wave besides potential Battle Packs, Micro Fighters and Buildable Figures? Or is the September Wave and then wait for Summer 2017?

Are we sure that Thrawn will be released in such a cheap set? I'm pretty certain that Lego knows that Thrawn sells; I doubt that they'll let him go so easily in a small set.

There's no certainty. Again this is only guesswork comparing the placement of the rumoured set numbers with the last Winter wave.

But I don't think its that much of a stretch that Thrawn would be included in a fairly cheap set. We still don't know who is coming in the second Rebels set or what its based on. The Seventh Sister and/or Eighth Brother would also be pretty desirable characters and unlike Thrawn would require new molding which would justify the higher price.

If Duel of the Fates is 69.99, I would hope it was a Final Duel/Palapatine's Arrest style set. Possibly set out as one long corridor.

Will be interesting to see how they pull it off. I imagine it will be pretty similar to the Final Duel set with the shaft, sliding doors for the hanger and possibly the retractable catwalk feature. That plus a play feature for the laser barricades. The only downside to that price range is if it really did only come with 3 minifigures.

I agree with this. I also think that a vast majority of the Rebels audience have very little understanding/history with Thrawn like we as adults do. To them he's just the new bad guy - my nine year old asked me "does he use a light sabre?" - that's what's important to them. We do often get main/important/desirable characters in smaller sets, I just think people forget that sometimes when a character is included exclusively in a larger set.

It's an interesting thing with Thrawn. EU Star Wars fans (and AFOL's) rate him highly and have wanted a Thrawn figure for such a long time but the general Lego buying public have no idea who he is so he may not be considered that much of a draw.

I think that bodes well for his release in a cost effective set.

I'd agree with those price ranges for the sets.

Duel of Fates won't be as big as the other playsets like we've had before due to the three figures and it's a winter set.

I'd expect another set that we don't know about to appear in the winter wave also to make the wave have 13 sets like last years.

It's definetely surprising seeing Thrawn in such a cheap set but, it has been done before. Just remember the Jango Fett figure in the Tank droid set a few years back...

Excited to see what other sets we are getting such as the battle packs. Does anybody have any idea what they might be? Shouldn't be long before a full set list on the big sites comes out.

If Duel of Fates is indeed 70$, then there's no way it will only have 3 minifigures. Add in a pair of battle droids and Padme , and then there a good deal. Buy honestly I think it will be 30-40 $ set, so 3 minutes minifigures will be an ok amount. Edited by benderisgreat

It's quite funny that people expect the set to have more minifigures when this is a case for just having three minifigures and the rest of the price going on the build.

The Duel of the Fates happened over several good locations so it would be great to just have this focused on the build with the figures taking second place rather than the other way around.

Well over the years Lego included several characters in sets based on a certain part of movies where these characters didn't appear. 2015 Sith Infiltrator comes to mind. And also if Duel of Fates will indeed be 70$ , 3 minifigures is too small amount. Lego knows that minifigures can sell sets , so hopefully final version of this set will have more than 3 minifigures.

I forsee (predict) Duel of the Fates being the spiritual successor of the Final Duel. Several small vignettes combining to make the whole.

Would not be surprised to see a naboo guard, maybe even the kind they havent made yet (the red stripey leather dudes).

Mind you guys that by the time the Thrawn set releases the third season of Rebels will already be airing so even the people who didn't knew him before will do now.

And in no way his set will be cheap, with a character like him I suspect it will be expencive. The price might range somewhere around 70-80 euro (lego sets are very expensive here in Greece).

But for me honestly the main selling point of this set is the new version of Kanan and I can't wait to see the set pictures.

There are only 3 characters involved in the Duel of the Fates, so 3 minifigures should be adequate.

True, but almost nobody will buy 70$ set with 3 minifigures. Like I said above , if they include 2 battledroids or Naboo guards, and Padme( we need more minifigures of her), then it will be a great deal!

The Thawn set doesn't have to be expensive. Lego included desirable figures in cheap sets before due to the lackluster build and/or low "want feature" of the set. It can basically go either way so be prepared regardless.
