Just saw evidence of another updated 'alphabet' ship very close to my heart being included in Episode VIII !!!

Hopefully another potential LEGO set for 2017.

Which vehicle is it? A,B,X, or Y-Wing? Or is it a new one? Can you tell us? (With spoiler tags for those who don't want to know)

Judging by your profile pic it's the B-Wing which if true I'm looking forward too.

His profile has been the B-wing for quite some time.

Though

Spoiler

It's probably either an A-wing or a B-wing (or a U-wing???)

Landspeeder, Deset Skiff and A-Wing are all exclusive sets, but Phantom isn't.

Not surprised Australia didn't get the Phantom 2.0 as none of the rebels made it into release here second half last year except the frigate, Vaders Tie versus A-wing and Capt Rex's AT-TE didn't make it here either.

As the show is only shown on Pay TV I guess kids weren't seeing it as much as CW.

"We haven't had a Rebels set available at multiple retailers since................." - :vader:
...........2nd wave if you don't count microfighters. This time 2 years ago.

Darth Malgus has probably mentioned the main reason

My profile pic is a good clue ;)

Spoiler image

What is that??

Spoiler

Is it only the cockpit module? Because it looks like either a B-wing OR a Tantive IV cockpit

Does anyone notice that the astromech polybag is R3-M2, and we got R3-M3 in 75159?

I know the next wave of sets is not due on the US till March, but there are already TV advertisements for the Y-Wing, Scarif set, and the next wave of micro fighters. Odd that they would advertise sets that are not available for a month and a half.

Huh. Are they on the Internet, or broadcasted on TV?

Have put my thoughts in spoilers as I'm referencing some info for EP VIII based on available on source info freely available but don't want to ruin things for people who hope to go in EP VIII not knowing.

Saw the image that has been mentioned up ahead, with all these re-releases including an A-Wing (that was shown when a certain royal family member visited pinewood) I wonder how many of these sets will be made.

We have had A-Wings, X-Wings, Y-Wings and B-Wings all in the last few years and the potential to get in some instances a third iteration of a set in a short space of tie cannot be great for TLG ( I say this statement as a parent who buys for my kids).  I can quite easily see parents saying to their children that its the same as the one I bought you a year or so ago... Hmmmm.... partial credit. The luggabeast was indeed mostly brick - but it also had animal legs

Taking a longer look at the image of the rathtar in the video game I find it odd that they would add tentacles with what appears to be lines indicating where each individual tentacle is connected. Why would they do that unless it was also going to be realized in physical form? I.e. look at the connection with the tentacle that goes through the "YOU" in the poster.

You make a good point. On a different note, I tried to go back through the video game to see if the Quadjumper was already in there like the luggabeast was... but unless Lego plans to sell it as basically 4 giant molds, I'm guessing that one isn't it!

Perhaps but this is the company that will not let the Landspeeder set die...

Dissapointing news for Australians - the Landspeeder, A-Wing, Phantom and Desert Skiff won't be coming to retailers here. It really makes me wonder how much of the Summer wave we're actually going to see or if the Episode 8 wave is the best we can hope for. :sceptic:

Whats your source for this?

Catalogue that has been sent to people doesn't include half of the sets...

Also some people that I know have friends in retail stores who have said all that they are getting are Yodas fighter, battle of Naboo and the 2 construction figs (RO sets already released)

These prices are killing me.

Why is the A-Wing 45 pounds? The one just a couple years back was 25 pounds and you basically got the same thing.

I know Brexit and stuff happened. As a US guy living in the UK I felt it in my bank account here. But even that doesn't explain the HUGE almost 200% increase..

I think the only reason is the updated Lando figure in this set, i felt a little bit better just because i haven't got an A wing.

It's even more expensive in Hong Kong, it is around 55-60 pound and it's a ToyRus exlcusive. I miss the day when i was in the UK :(

Unfortunately, at least in the UK, I can see prices rising further. This is just the start. Once the dreaded Brexit begins officially I reckon things will get worse. I worry more about Bricklink orders - buying from the EU is easy and customs free at the moment - that will change soon enough :(

@BrickG It also has twice as much pieces to be fair.

Funnily enough, TLG seem to have realised people use piece count as a measure - the two A-Wings are identical in size and have the same amount of figures; the new one just has more small parts and the small ground crew vehicle. You're really paying 20 bucks extra for the vehicle and an updated design. It's not Brexit, either - in Germany the old one was 30 and the new one is 50. That's why I never liked the price per piece argument - once the thing sits on a shelf, I only care how it looks, not how many pieces it took to get there. The better argument would be that the new A-Wing looks so much better because of those extra pieces (which it kinda does, tbf - it's a huge improvement from the already very good 2013 version).

Brexit is a factor - LEGO have increased the price of all sets (not just LSW) above £30 by £5 - 10. They released a statement announcing the price hike before Xmas.
