(Assuming this is real) My bet is it comes with one of each. The two black helmeted pilots appear to be identical, as do the three white helmeted ones. There's probably duplicates to show off the double sided face, or just the owner showing off the fact that they managed to get duplicates, I dont think its meant to indicate that the set comes with all 5 of them.

It was pointed out on reddit that while the UCS TIE only came with one pilot, TIE Fighters only have one pilot. Snowspeeders have two, so it'd be strange if it came with only one minifig.

Actually all the heads looks identical to me, and just the helmet is different.

From the dark helmet I suppose the pilot might be Zev Senesca? The other one just looks like a generic rebel pilot helmet.

There's only one difference in the printing of the figures from the old ones, and that's the arm printing. Otherwise these are exactly the same as the Dak Ralter minifig from 2014. Faces and all.

I'm leaning towards calling fake, it would be very lazy of Lego to release these.

Looking at those helmets again and neither of them have been done before. The one with the red Rebel insignia is different from any other variant of that helmet I've seen.

Here's the updated Wedge, Wes, (original) Zev, Luke, generic pilot and Dak. The stripe on the centre part of the helmet is new to a helmet with red insignia and Zev's helmet has some detailing on the side section as well as the front block part of the central rim which is printed also.

But it's logic. I'm pretty sure they will release the Rogue Two snowpseeder. In other words, the white/orange one that rescued Han and Luke.

That was used by Zev Senesca and for the gunner, you can see the helmet with the grey stripe in the 3:16:

And, for more proof, in the Assault on Hoth we got Antilles and Janson, the Rogue Three, so it has more sense they are releasing the UCS Rogue Two Snowspeeder, with Senesca and the random gunner (I'm sure he has a name, but no idea right now).

That would make some kind of sense based on what we've seen with the figures on that photo.

Hoth Pilots

Rebel Pilots

These images haven't been updated in a little while but definitely seems like both of those are new helmets.

They may not seem like the most exciting figures to include but seeing as we've has Luke and Wedge's Speeders released over the last couple of years it would make sense to give us both pilot and gunner to the only other recognised Speeder we see.

If UCS sets are minifig scale or play sets then the figures are integral to the 'play' of that set, when we get something like the UCS TIE or the Tumbler the figures become an added incentive and are decoration for the stand while the main attraction is the construction part of the build. The TIE pilot in the UCS set has printed arms and the new helmet was available on B&P for a long time (it might still be). so the printed arms are still the only thing unique to that set. If I was getting the Snowspeeder, and I probably am, then the build would be the reason. new Hoth pilots would be a bonus.

Imgur mirrors of the image are now up on r/lego and r/legoleaks, since facebook doesnt like you looking at it if you dont have an account. Remember to download the image, since there's a good chance it'll be taken down.

(hey mods, are we actually allowed to call sites hosting leaked images by name? People dont, but I cant find anything in the rules that says we cant name exactly what site/subreddit a leaked image is on, only that we cant link them)

I'm a little dissapointd, specifically about the cockpit. The two middle white stripe should be closer, and the front windscreen new brick should be one stud larger at least.

I would use the drakmin's technic cockpit.

That's a beautiful looking model right there. Regardless of whatever figures they decide to add to it.

It's not a confidential image but I think EB would need to get some clarification of whether the image can be posted here.

Looks really 'clean'. Don't know if I will buy it because that also depends on the scale (minifig scale?).

Definitely not minifig scale. The system scale version in sets such as Assault on Hoth are very close to minifig scale. This is a display model similar to Red Five and the recent TIE Fighter.

Picture was taken illegaly and it can not be posted here, unless you want EB to have trouble with TLG:

Thanks for the clarification, Cwetqo. I had a feeling that would be the case but it's good that it's been clearly stated to avoid anyone posting it.

Is it just me or does the new Snowspeeder look smaller than the old one?

I think the wingspan is 2 studs shorter on the new one but I don't think that detracts from the model at all.

The nose section is also shorter on the new version but he windscreen appears longer and the overall shaping is far superior to my eyes.

Only a matter of time before people start saying "UCS AT-AT Confirmed because there's AT-ATs on the Snowspeeder box"

Lol very true

Well this I think is an easy pass for a lot of people. Me especially. This D2C is for a very specific group of AFOL's, there is no appeal here at all for play features or anything. And the fact that it isn't minifigure scale, which is what you can expect from a UCS yes? Means that I could care less.

But isn't that the most reliable way of finding out? ;)

I wouldn't say UCS means minifig scale. Especially not on smaller vehicles. The regular snowspeeder we've had countless times is pretty much minifig scale as is the system scale X-Wings etc. This is just a large scale model of the Snowspeeder. I think the inclusion of minifigs on sets like that are something that jars with people as they offer no play features and are there for decoration almost.

Before the comments on how inaccurate the scaling is, because this is one-quarter studs shorter/longer than this and that and whatever, let me just say that this is a great looking model. (From this angle)

It's true, it is another remake, but since the last one was almost 15 years ago, probably a lot of people don't mind.

It's definitely the kind of set I would like to see in the UCS line, but wasn't actually waiting to have this.

Probably gonna pass on it, but finally something substantial to dwell on, and Stash doesn't have to kick everyone  :)

Can someone please answer this? This group keeps getting brought up but nobody ever says what it is or how to join.

if you are on facebook, you can ask to join the lego collectors group.  that is where the image of the minifig pilots first appeared.  the group post was in the first link.  just backtrack from that to get the group page.
