doclord Posted March 29, 2017 Posted March 29, 2017 The Quadjumper looks lovely, but those minifigures are killing me. I appreciate a cheaper way to get the Unkar Brute but really what a lame selection. Rathtar Escape though... I've never been so conflicted over a Star Wars set. I didn't like the scene at all in the film, but the build is surprisingly nice to display and very configurable as Jek pointed out. The minifigs are all excellent as well, and the Rathtars are nice builds despite not being in scale. I think the price is going to keep me from pulling the trigger (as well as my thoughts on the scene) but still I'm impressed. First post, longtime lurker. :) Quote
Deathstroke77 Posted March 29, 2017 Posted March 29, 2017 Very nice. I don't need a Dengar, but Bossk and IG-88 will be a fine addition to my collection, that's for sure. Also, 4-LOM looks AMAZING. One of the best figs I've seen in a while from LEGO. I see LEGO doing another one of these, or something like this, since I see this selling very well. Quote
Franklinw1234 Posted March 29, 2017 Posted March 29, 2017 I like the battlepack, but it is kind of disappointing that bossk doesn't have duel molded legs. It makes it look a little weird with just printing. Especially because the foot printing doesn't go to the side of his legs. Quote

I mean you would think something like this would sell hotcakes, but I hope it appeals to kid enough that we see more like this. Seeing as it's hard to army build with this I hope sales will be high enough.. Quote

Since it has cool looking characters, I imagine kids will want to buy this, especially since it's a change from the regular trooper battle packs we usually get. I'd imagine this will sell well with us adults, too, since all of these characters haven't been in a desirable set for years now (I doubt many adults wanted that Eclipse Fighter), and 4-LOM is making his first appearance, so people will likely be wanting to add these guys to their collection, too. Yeah, you would think interesting looking characters would be more desirable than bland looking troopers. Oh, and it looks like you posted this twice. Edited March 29, 2017 by Franklinw1234 Quote
StarWars8Spoiler Posted March 29, 2017 Posted March 29, 2017 I'm still curious as to why Old Han doesn't have the new hairpiece in medium stone grey. That would've looked a lot better than the bit they're using right now. Quote

Maybe they saw Han's hair in this picture and thought it looked fine. Quote
Tidy Posted March 29, 2017 Posted March 29, 2017 this may have been posted. idk. things get buried too quickly with ____http://www.thebrickfan.com/lego-star-wars-r2-d2-30611-to-be-may-the-4th-promo-polybag/ Quote

Anyone seen a UK confirmation of this? http://www.thebrickfan.com/lego-star-wars-r2-d2-30611-to-be-may-the-4th-promo-polybag/ I guess stuff like these got buried pretty quick. Quote
Franklinw1234 Posted March 29, 2017 Posted March 29, 2017 While I like the R2 polybag I was hoping that another figure would come out for May the 4th . Quote

Borex Posted March 29, 2017 Posted March 29, 2017 That Bounty Hunter BP is so nice! The build is lame though, but who cares. Bossk is looking sweet, and i may need to buy multiples of the Trandoshan. 4-LOM is awesome. Lego, well done! He also has a little hole at the top of his head, so you even can give him some headgear? (birthday hats, donald duck's hat, minnie's bow)? Now we wait for Zuckuss. The Rathar Escape and the Quad Jumper are also real winning sets imho. Go Star Wars Lego! Quote
VaderFan2187 Posted March 29, 2017 Posted March 29, 2017 Brickset says that the R3-M2 polybag comes with purchases at LEGOLAND. Does that mean that the figure which @ChristopherLee saw may be the second polybag this year? Or could it be in a set that we don't have rumors of (like the MTT last time)? Quote
Cottin Posted March 29, 2017 Posted March 29, 2017 I almost thought battle damaged Anakin had duel-molded legs when I saw the official pic, but no such luck.. we should start a betting pool -- which Star Wars character gets dual-molding during what wave of what year. Four ways to win! Cash payouts for those who accurately predict the character, dual-molded limb, wave, or year! Lol.. maybe we'll get that level of fig detail for Star Wars by 2020. But enough with beating that dead horse.. I'm so freaking thankful TLG included an actual rifle for IG-88 and didn't limit him to only a stud shooter. Being interested in only the tinier sets of this wave, my wallet is pretty happy about this summer. Quote

Agreed - I'm a definite for the Battlepacks and maybe the Tank and Vader Transformation. Nothing else is even of vague interest. Quote
Amazing Bricks Posted March 30, 2017 Posted March 30, 2017 Is it just me, or does bossk have this yellow color to him? Quote

ToaDraco Posted March 30, 2017 Posted March 30, 2017 Wow, that Bounty Hunter BP is fantastic. Bossk is a huge improvement, as is IG-88. 4-LOM looks awesome as well. I don't have the Dengar from last year so it'll be nice to get the updated one. That Republic Fighter Tank is a day one buy for me. I absolutely love anything from the Clone Wars era. Quote
miles teg Posted March 30, 2017 Posted March 30, 2017 As I need a Bossk and a Dengar, I'm definitely going to pick up the bounty hunter pack. 4 Lom looks cool too. I held off from buying the black spaceship set with Dengar this year as apart from him, it looked a bit naff. That will be the only set I buy from this wave though...absolutely zero interest in any of the others. Most of which don't even look 'star wars'. Apart from that ucs snowspeeder of course.... it will be mine...oh yes, it will be mine ? Quote
Cyberfounder Posted March 30, 2017 Posted March 30, 2017 Is there any news on Obi Wan's jedi starfighter? Or was that a flase rumor??? Quote

I think that piece would look a bt silly on a space pensioner Quote
StarWars8Spoiler Posted March 30, 2017 Posted March 30, 2017 I was saying he needed the new hair piece because of pictures like this It looks longer here, but I can see why LEGO went with the short hair too. Quote
