Artanis I Posted September 13, 2016 Posted September 13, 2016 3 of them are all from RO... So when we say 'iconic Star Wars ship' should that be a ship in RO as well? Well yes, but having not seen the movie yet I couldn't say which iconic Star Wars ships are not going to be in it. Quote
Fives Posted September 13, 2016 Posted September 13, 2016 The Duel of the Fates set sound like its easily the best set of this upcoming wave. A small set based on probably the most iconic fight of all the prequels has never existed, and sets based on the duels have been rare until the recent Duel on Geonosis and Death Star Final Duel, which makes this set even more excited. It makes me hopeful for a set based on the Duel on Bespin set, which would be amazing because we need an update of Bespin Luke pretty bad. The one thing I really hope the Duel of the Fates set gives us is a more accurate update for Qui-Gon by simply changing his hair from reddish brown to dark tan. All they'd need to do is change the hair colour on the figure that was in the Sith Infiltrator set, its so simple and I feel like it would make the character look way more like Qui-Gon. A similar adjustment to the Obi-Wan figure would be a new hairpiece with a built in braid (which I know is something other people have mentioned before) in reddish brown rather than orange because thats better for Phantom Menace Obi-Wan. Quote
Pulp Detective Posted September 13, 2016 Posted September 13, 2016 It does not, it's a Rogue One set with Diego Luna's character Thanks for sharing the info Sci.I also have to ask, does the bunker set include Jyn Erso by any chance?? Quote
Magmafrost Posted September 13, 2016 Posted September 13, 2016 A similar adjustment to the Obi-Wan figure would be a new hairpiece with a built in braid (which I know is something other people have mentioned before) in reddish brown rather than orange because thats better for Phantom Menace Obi-Wan. As others have said before, the issue with having the braid as part of the hair piece is that it would either have to be much too thick, or it would break really easily. It might instead be possible for Lego to integrate a braid made of string, but that might be too prone to deterioration. Quote
wesker Posted September 13, 2016 Posted September 13, 2016 I'm fine keeping the braid printed as long as he had a hairpiece that captured the spikey look from the film and preferably had a short ponytail at the back. The current hairpiece is horribly dated and it would be ridiculous for him to still be using a hood after 18 years. I wouldn't mind if the iconic Star Wars ship is another TIE Fighter. Lego has been on a roll with the last four variations and we could use an updated version of the standard Imperial model, especially if the First Order version is off the market by the time the Winter wave arrives. Can't wait to see how the bunker turns out. Hopefully it will be similar in size to the Endor one. Will also be interesting to see which version of Cassian Andor we end up getting this time - the main costume, the jacket-less variant or the sniper look. Quote
Aethersprite Posted September 13, 2016 Posted September 13, 2016 What's with the secrecy behind the 'iconic Star Wars ship'? Do the leakers not know what ship it is, or is it another pointless tease again? I really appreciate the leakers' good work but keeping people in suspense for no good reason really irks me sometimes. Agreed,I can't stand those pointless teases.Any way if this ship is another x-wing I'm gonna seriously disappointed in Lego. Quote
CM4Sci Posted September 13, 2016 Posted September 13, 2016 (edited) Sorry if the ""hint"" upset everyone, you're right, I hate it too. I didn't think we had confirmation xxxxx were even in the film yet! So yeah it's a xxxxx I didn't see Lando or Saw, but I did see a white Chewbacca with a backpack or something. That's the creature we see in the Star Wars Celebratrion reel for Rogue One! Right on 1:42! Cool! Quote
wesker Posted September 13, 2016 Posted September 13, 2016 (edited) Here's Hasbro's figure of the white creature known as Moroff. Wasn't expecting a Lego version but its very welcome news indeed. Can't wait to see how it turns out. Edited September 13, 2016 by wesker Quote
deskp Posted September 13, 2016 Posted September 13, 2016 (edited) I did see a white Chewbacca with a backpack or something. What figures in the bunker set? Cassian, furry alien? and what else. troops? Edited September 13, 2016 by deskp Quote

I didn't know Y-Wings were in Rogue One, too. You had a legitimate reason to hide that information, then (given the spoiler-sensitive nature of some people); perhaps you should have put that in spoiler tags. Thanks for clarifying things! Quote
CM4Sci Posted September 13, 2016 Posted September 13, 2016 Yeah, so maybe everyone should put that ship in spoiler tags from now on? That is the reason I didn't wanna share it. Sorry for the confusion. I forgot to talk about the Battle Packs! 75164 Rebels Battlepack Four Endor troopers? I think they are stand-ins. This comes with a small turret hidden behind rocks and a speeder. 75165 Empire Battlepack Two Stormtroopers and two Death Troopers (I think) This came with a small walker with long blasters on the side. Quote
Nokturn Posted September 13, 2016 Posted September 13, 2016 At this rate, I'm going to have an entire squadron of Y-Wings and none of them will be the same. Quote

I meant that since that ship hasn't been known to be in the film yet, people could regard it as a potential spoiler from the movie. I think info on the BPs are fine! As have been discussed in the past few pages, did you see if the Death Troopers had their pauldrons (a cloth piece) on? Quote
CM4Sci Posted September 13, 2016 Posted September 13, 2016 75171 Bunker Battle Cassian Andor (dark red jacket), good guy in black, and 2 Shore Troopers It's a brick-high platform on a 28x28 tan plate. Has some exploding floor bits, olive green palm leaves everywhere, a tree, hidden weapons compartment. In the back there's a small door area that can open. Also has one of those orange crates and the Death Star plans. 75172 Iconic Ship It's similar to the 2012 one but not exactly the same. Comes with a mobile crane. Figures are (stand-ins with no names) Pilot, other Pilot with black head, white Chewbacca, Astromech Droid, and Imperial Officer I meant that since that ship hasn't been known to be in the film yet, people could regard it as a potential spoiler from the movie. No, they were blank with no prints and no pauldron. Quote
Legocity2713 Posted September 13, 2016 Posted September 13, 2016 The bunker set sounds cool. As for the Y-Wing Microfighter, didn't we just have one included with that Star Wars book? It'll probably be the same one right? Quote
deskp Posted September 13, 2016 Posted September 13, 2016 Is there an actual bunker structure? or just floor/platform? Quote
CM4Sci Posted September 13, 2016 Posted September 13, 2016 Is there an actual bunker structure? or just floor/platform? Yeah that! It's 90% a grey platform on sand and there's a small facade that I don't think leads to anything. Quote

Thanks for that detailed information! We haven't seen that 'iconic ship' in set form in a long time; I'm glad to have a chance to get it again. Also regarding the bunker, it's great to see the return of baseplates in a Lego set. Hopefully this means it's spacious on the inside. Quote

It's an odd choice for a set unless it's a key location in the film, but I'm looking forward to pictures! Quote

Is it like the entrance to Maz's Castle where its still a decent display piece or more like the old Jedi Defense set from 2001 where its just a small door? Quote
benderisgreat Posted September 13, 2016 Posted September 13, 2016 Battlepacks sound awesome, especially Imperial one! Deathtroopers were rumored before , but now it's confirmed! Rebel one is less exciting , but they will probably have those new helmets from September Roguo One sets, so I'll buy a couple of them. What's even more exciting is longer blasters in Imperial Battlepack , does it mean stud shooter won't be used as blasters in Battlepacks anymore? As for iconic ship it's weird it has only one named character, but I can't way to see pictures of this set. Quote
