PicnicBasketSam Posted September 18, 2016 Posted September 18, 2016 The new Phantom is $30? Ooh... this is shaping up to be quite a good wave... also, Y-Wing. I hope it isn't $70+ like all the X-Wings and TIEs have been lately. Quote
makoy Posted September 18, 2016 Posted September 18, 2016 Everyone seems to be in agreement that the new Phantom will be a great buy. I hope that the pricing in my region will be priced reasonably. Seems like I have more Star Wars sets to buy this year and yet we are only getting the first half of 2017. Quote
ForceGhostSolo Posted September 18, 2016 Posted September 18, 2016 (edited) They look like a Death Star Gunner. Maybe it's Jyn in her outfit from the first trailer, they're on the good side. No Tantive trooper. Ok, Thanks very much. was expecting it to be Saw or maybe it is with a helmet?[snip] Edited September 18, 2016 by Brickdoctor Removed request to be shown confidential images. Seaber Posted September 18, 2016 Posted September 18, 2016 Two pilots in the Y-Wing, perhaps it will have room for a pilot and gunner? Quote
joeyl19 Posted September 18, 2016 Posted September 18, 2016 Two pilots in the Y-Wing, perhaps it will have room for a pilot and gunner? I don't think so, the OT ones didn't so why would these? Quote
FTG Prime Posted September 18, 2016 Posted September 18, 2016 Two pilots in the Y-Wing, perhaps it will have room for a pilot and gunner? Maybe it's like the X-Wing's sets were you get two pilots Quote
Fire spray 31 Posted September 18, 2016 Posted September 18, 2016 A white wookie with the Y-Wing? Are you sure it wasn't Moroff? Quote
CM4Sci Posted September 18, 2016 Posted September 18, 2016 A white wookie with the Y-Wing? Are you sure it wasn't Moroff? Yeah it's probably him after people have pointed it out. Quote

Forresto Posted September 18, 2016 Posted September 18, 2016 Yeah it's probably him after people have pointed it out. Darn I didn't want to get the Y-Wing but I do think i'll want Moroff . To brick link....in six months Quote
Brickweiser Posted September 19, 2016 Posted September 19, 2016 I don't think so, the OT ones didn't so why would these? I think it was established in the old canon that Y-Wings were two-seater starfighters. Whether or not that carries over to Disney's canon, I guess we will see in Rogue One, perhaps. Quote
67mountie67 Posted September 19, 2016 Posted September 19, 2016 I know OT Y-Wings were one seaters but wouldn't early ones that are left over from the Clone Wars be two seaters? I know for a fact the ones used in the Clone Wars had a gunners seat were there is just a turret in later models. Quote
makoy Posted September 19, 2016 Posted September 19, 2016 This Moroff guy... has a new head mould ? Quote
Lunchietey Posted September 19, 2016 Posted September 19, 2016 Star wars wikia has multiple y wing variants with either a gunner or a fixed set of ion cannons and no gunner. There's even references to 5 seater models and long range scout versions (even 4 engine models in games) Quote
Forresto Posted September 19, 2016 Posted September 19, 2016 (edited) I just remember SW Battlefront I & II let two personnel, a pilot and gunner, man Y-Wings. This Moroff guy... has a new head mould ? while I don't know I have to imagine it's along the lines of a wookie/ gammorean/ talz mold where it's full torso. When you look at the actual character it's entirely furry. Edited September 19, 2016 by Forresto Quote
Magmafrost Posted September 19, 2016 Posted September 19, 2016 I've been meaning to ask this for a while, how do we even know it's a UCS? Well, it has no minifigs apparently. While that hasn't been the usual for UCS for a while now, its certainly not going to happen if its not UCS. Quote
LEGOscum Posted September 19, 2016 Posted September 19, 2016 Well done to EB Admins for weathering the storm and not taking down the 2017 rumour list. Plenty of other sites (including the one I write for) have retreated under C&D emails from LEGO IP department but you guys, who've been quoted as the source, stand firm. Obviously your cajones are made of sterner stuff than the rest of us's are! Quote
LEGOscum Posted September 19, 2016 Posted September 19, 2016 It will go eventually... It's going to get to a point where Disney will have to buy Google so that they can wipe out all the search results from their database. https://www.google.com.au/?gws_rd=ssl#q=lego+star+wars+rumours+2017 Quote
pittpenguin123 Posted September 19, 2016 Posted September 19, 2016 maybe disney is giving EB a break since every time they took it down when they said so, unlike other sites Quote
Robianco Posted September 19, 2016 Posted September 19, 2016 maybe disney is giving EB a break since every time they took it down when they said so, unlike other sites By all accounts EB was never asked to remove anything so you might not be too far off the mark with that... Quote
darththeling Posted September 19, 2016 Posted September 19, 2016 (edited) I know OT Y-Wings were one seaters but wouldn't early ones that are left over from the Clone Wars be two seaters? I know for a fact the ones used in the Clone Wars had a gunners seat were there is just a turret in later models. I had always assumed that the Rebels gutted them for parts, but according to this entry, the vehicle has both 1 and 2 seater variants. Interesting to note that the plating was removed so that the Rebels could access and maintain the aging craft more easily. http://starwars.wiki...arfighter/Canon "Several models of the Y-wing starfighter were used throughout the Clone Wars and Galactic Civil War. An early Y-wing model was used by the Grand Army of theRepublic during the Clone Wars. Unlike its successor designs, this model had a bubble-turret, which swivelled 360 degrees, provided a clear view of surrounding space for a gunner. The ship was designed to operate mainly as a bomber and the Republic used them well in this capacity.[16] The later BTL-A4 Y-wing was a variant, single-seat tactical strike spacecraft, which lacked the gunner's position of earlier models. This variant was utilized by both the Alliance to Restore the Republic and New Republic during the Galactic Civil War.[17] The Alliance modified their Y-wings, with the hull and nacelle plating removed to increase ease of maintenance on the aging craft.[7] These modified BTL-A4 variants saw action in the Battle of Yavin, the Battle of Hoth[13], Battle of Endor, and the Battle of Jakku.[13]" By the way - I'm loving that rumors list for 2017. Can't imagine an improvement over the previous landspeeder but gotta get more Tusken Raiders of course. The only thing is... Thrawn in a $30 set? Could it be possible? I figured for sure he would be in some gigantic $200+ set. Edited September 19, 2016 by darththeling Quote
