The two-seater rebel Y-wings have two variants as well IIRC, one in which the gunner is behind the pilot and looking in the same direction, and another in which they are back to back, like in a snowspeeder. It'll be interesting to see if RO will bring such a variant into the canon, as it will make the set a lot more different from previous Y-wings as well. It could indeed explain the inclusion of yet another extra pilot, but I hope it's a two-seater in that case as well. Kinda weird that they keep including alternate pilots. You can already get an alternative one in the Y-wing microfighter.

Well done to EB Admins for weathering the storm and not taking down the 2017 rumour list. Plenty of other sites (including the one I write for) have retreated under C&D emails from LEGO IP department but you guys, who've been quoted as the source, stand firm. Indeed. We're not trying to take some sort of stand for or against this info embargo. Truthfully, we've never discussed what we'd do if we were asked to take down all of the lists and info and discussion, because we've simply never been asked.

I think if it happened and EB acquiesced to their request EB would cease to be a truly independent forum of lego fans and be heading towards a TLG partner.

I believe some things happen here as a result of a good relationship with TLG (Whitefang receiving boxes of CMFs to review, petitions through the ambassador program). I wouldn't blame EB for trying to keep that.

There are FB groups that do leak info and picture and that does not remove the pictures either, so I don't think there is a catastrophy that EB is more compliant with the TLG, with or without EB, we still see leaks...

From the trailer we see the same Ghost with the new phantom. But we don't know if the Ghost will be destroyed in the show yet.

Wait I thought the new phantom set was a differnt ship? Why would it dock with the ghost isnt it a bad guy ship

The new mold doesn't look anything like a y-wing's cockpit though. Although I suppose it also doesn't look like a U-wing's cockpit either. Actually it barely looks like an x-wing's cockpit. It is a cool piece, put the old one really is a better representation

Hey Sci. Do you know whether or not the Death Troopers in the battle pack are the commander ones with pockets and pauldron, or the standard ones without those two things? I know the commanders come in the shuttle set, so it would make sense to have standards in the battle pack to keep the commanders a little exclusive.

The old cockpit mold is fine for the Y-Wing; the only thing they need to do is update the print in the fashion of the old UCS Y Wing and it'd work perfectly. Hopefully, they'll do that considering they gave the original phantom a unique cockpit print. If not, I doubt they'll ever make a unique Y Wing cockpit mold or print.

What a new Y-Wing really needs is better scaled engine nacelles, hopefully with a new custom piece for the steering vanes/disk ventrals at the end of the nacelles.

It looks like one? Yes it uses the Speed Champs piece

I didn't see Paul drones and I think their torsos were blank.
