Well... the old Separatist Shuttle was a pretty nifty set, I think, even if it does look kind of flimsy. I just hope there's actually room for a couple of minifigures inside of this one... if they gave it a full interior, I would certainly buy it. The Phantom in the show can fit like 6 people inside.

I didn't see Paul drones and I think their torsos were blank.

You didn't see Paul? Sucks that you missed him as 'Mr. Drones' as we always call him is a great guy.

I'm going to speculate that one of the sets released mid-year 2017 will be the AT-ACT from Rogue One, given that we got two big vehicles released that time this year it seems logical to me.

Generally about the re-releases of MF, DS, Landspeeder, etc, pp:

We will see a lot more of those, just slightly changed and updated, re-releases of successful sets from the Original Sixtology and then later on of CW and Rebels. TLC is currently adapting to Disneys relentless release schedule with one major movie every year and quite some animated and extended stuff in between. The alternative to the updated re-releases of those proven sets would be no product in this segment at all - which is not a viable business option as the product portfolio has to be held steady in this segment. The current movie and current animated season is always top-priority in the product development, but the classic stuff needs to be on the shelves as well - who would argue?

This should pre-empt all public outcry about set re-releases for the upcoming years and all the good old sets with updated minifigs that are to come again.

P.S: Yes, i AM a bothan-spy, but i don’t need any of my spy-powers to come to this simple conclusion.

Paul drones sounds like an imperial secret that should not be named.

Anyway, with or without pauldrons, I'll get those deathtroppers.

Well how few people does lego have to come up with new SW designs, that's the million dollar question, me personally, if I worked 40 hours effectively a week, and me only with designing new lego set, an updated Landspeeder would be less than 1 week, I assure you, that's no excuse. And if it's the case that they only have one person designing all sw set annually, it would of course explain the situation, but the solution would be simple, employ one more person...

We've been getting re-releases regularly ever since 2004 - many sets barely changed from the last. I don't have an issue with Lego revisiting old sets, but it would still be nice to see some variety. Ones like the Landspeeder feel lazy in that its been a mere 2 years since the last release when there are plenty of others that could have used revisiting.

Another thing I find disapointing about the new wave is that it sounds like it barely offers any new minifigures - updated or otherwise. Even with Rogue One and The Force Awakens coming out, it didn't stop us from getting plenty of classic characters who were either all new (Endor Han, Captain Tarpals, Toryn Farr, Ugnaught, R3-A2, R3-M3 etc) or needed long overdue updates (Vader, Luke, Leia, Tarkin, Luminara, Quinlan Vos, Naboo Soldiers, Endor Rebels ,K-3PO, Tusken Raider etc)

Why not include one of the characters from Yoda's storyarc from which the Interceptor set is based on? They certainly had plenty to pick from - new variations of Dooku and Sidious, new characters like Darth Bane, Dark Yoda or the Force Priestess or even just updating another Jedi like Mace, Anakin, Ki-Adi-Mundi etc. What about a character like Garindan in the Landspeeder? Or even Theed Battle Padme in DOTF considering she's been absent from TPM sets for almost 20 years now? They definitely could've done more with the new wave.

With there now being less room in each wave for OT, PT and TCW sets I'd like to see Lego make the most of their limited releases, not just take the easy way out.

Most of this has nothing to do with the design department - which, i am sure, comes up with awesome stuff on a sufficient rate. All of what belongs to the releasing-a-set-out-of-a-design process is pretty complicated, quite tricky nowadays and the limiting factor here.

Wait so is one of the sets an Imperial Bunker? If so, do we k ow if there's any interior?

From the description given it sounded like a platform with the facade of the bunker

Just wanna thank you all for spoiling season 3

Please also post pictures of:

"...the new commander, after Sato gets killed by Thrawn. I also wonder if we will get an extra mold for one half of Maul's body since Bendu and Kanan ate the other halt. That would be so cool, a half torso."

There are different kinds of separatist shuttles.

I rather wonder why they took this design anyway, since it is very inpractical with the Ghost's upper turret. Also wonder how good it'll look with so little parts. Though I would just pay $50 for Thrawn

Most people who thinks the re-release of sets are garbage only view it from an old collector's lens. In contrast, those who Started collecting Star Wars late will wish that all the good ones they missed are re-released. As for minifigs, I do like that TLG do not update the minifigures too often.... Otherwise it is going to be very difficult to catch up and complete a collection... Or even build an army with uniform prints.

It's great that we see something new and something familiar to satisfy both old and new fans.

Plus after a certain point, there's really not that much room of improvement for some figs. I personally think that the Death Star Han Solo and Luke are as good as it can be.

Stormtroopers could be improved with arm and hip printing (both back and front), but honestly they're pretty perfect as is.

The shuttle could simply be stylized. Star Destroyer command decks and necks are ridiculously elongated.

Yeah, but you'll revisit that thought when side and back leg printing are standard.

I'm really looking forward to the 2020 re-re-re-releases. I hear we're getting printed hair, hand printing, and crotch printing!!

*actually, we already have printed hair like Sabine or Wyldstyle... or is that different colors of molded plastic. Either way i actually would like to see this one come true in the future.

dual molded legs on the likes of han would be a massive improvement already. hell, even printing all the way down to the feet instead of stopping abruptly at the knees as is common these days would already be an improvmenet.
