While I agree with you that we need Saw Gurerra minifigure, I'm not so sure about Galen Erso, since we don't know how big is his role in the movie. He can have 5mins of screen time or 2hours, so it depends on how important his character is in the movies.

Well dont forget we'll need to save some charcters for the summerwave as well. Most likely there will b two more R1 sets then

Quick question: does anybody else thinks that we lost a chance to get Seventh Sister minifigure? 75158 Rebel Combat Frigate would have been a perfect set to include her in. And now we're getting Rebels Season 3 based sets and she had no logical set to appear in.

I think they will change some of the mini-figs there, Maul has his really out dated face.

Anything goes build wise if I can get those 3 figs for 30 bucks, that's alone what they ask for Quin-Gon on Bricklink...

The good part is that's only part 1 :)

Thanks for busting your megablocks off on these leaks CM4, great job as always!

Wow, that's so abusive! I remember I got my Qui-Gon for $10 back in the day.

I rather like the Naboo set.

The elevation gives it a catwalk feel (Even though that specific room was walled) and makes room for features.

Also haven't had any Phantom Menace stuff since the original release, and would like a Qui Gon Jinn that isn't yellow.

We did get a plethora of Phantom Menace sets, including 2 different skin colored Quin Gon, and some are still available at retail to this day...

Yeah, I know, I just didn't pay them too much mind.

I had Phantom Menace sets when I was a kid, but since I've re-started collecting, the only SW set I have now is the latest Droid Escape Pod, because I was nostalgic for the original.

So I don't have any Jedi or Sith or anything, just R2 and 3P0.

Well... the old Separatist Shuttle was a pretty nifty set, I think, even if it does look kind of flimsy. I just hope there's actually room for a couple of minifigures inside of this one... if they gave it a fu, I would certainly buy it. The Phantom in the show can fit like 6 people inside.

Mods, I'm extremely sorry that this is in the wrong place, but how do I unquote this?

Duel of the Fates looks quite good, there seems to be some internal mechanism that I'm guessing controls the laser gate.

That's what it looks like - also a little spring board to recreate the "Jedi Jump"! I think this set is definitely worth picking up. Yoda's JSF however, I think I'll be giving that a miss...

Not necessarily.  There's still a chance they could do a Malachor set, and the Seventh Sister is included in the DLC for the LEGO TFA game (which mostly uses designs from figures that have already been officially created).  She even has a unique helmet model, they didn't even do that for commander Cody, and used his Phase 1 model instead of updating him to Phase 2 (which would have been much easier than making their own Seventh Sister model and textures).

Anyone else notice that the Duel on Naboo set is numbered 75169 which rumor had listed as the landspeeder while this set was rumored as 75173? What does this do for the landspeeder set? The other two set numbers appear to be on track with what we have already heard.

well i have observed the pictures and considering obi wan and qui gon have the old torsos then we can probably assume that they will all the bile the latest variants, no skimping.

Also phantom looks great

First off, the new EB format seems to have completely borked emotes and embedded images for me.

On to the set leaks. Despite the underwhelming size of the Phantom 2.0, I think it looks the best out of the three. I like the detail of the stickers and the color scheme is very nice. There are a lot of nice curves and angles around the ship. My only question is why there are click hinges along the side of the cockpit? I look forward to see how it looks with the Thrawn figure standing next to it.

Yoda's Starfighter looks very meh to me. For the scale it accomplishes what it needs to but it looks very messy. Probably will get it just for the nice dark green parts which I could always use more of. Remember when Yoda used to be a rare minifigure? Now it seems he's come out in a set every year since 2013. The other two sets have three figures so why not include one more here?

Duel of the Fates is the worst of the three. I love how I'll be able to get a cheap Maul but the build is atrocious. There's so many visible technic pieces and I can't figure out for the life of me how that gate function works or why it has to be so complicated. The shaft portion is horribly undersized and does no justice to the scene in the movie. It lacks almost any sort of discerning detail, and i'm confused as to why there's only curved wall piece that's just put in the corner. Why not add one more so it doesn't look so open? The shaft itself doesn't even look deep enough to let Maul really 'fall' into it, and I'm certain the flipping mechanism takes up a lot of internal space there too. Adding insult to injury Obi-Wan has a hood for some reason here even though he never had it on during the duel. Same goes with the capes. Seems lazy that they couldn't include his hairpiece considering the last two sets with Obi we were given them.

I'm very excited about Yoda's Starfighter but I don't think they got the cockpit shape quite right. I look forward to better images. The Phantom 2.0 looks fantastic and I look forward to seeing Blind Kanan and Thrawn. Dual on Naboo... looks bad. Pretty bad in fact. I think a set like that should have been at a larger price point or something because the tiny hallway and small dual chamber with exposed functions doesn't work so well. It doesn't look very polished either. The Duel on Geonosis was a better set, at least it looked really nice and nailed the architecture despite most people not really caring for it.

These sets look great but I sort of feel this wave is going to be a fair bit smaller than some of the previous ones judging by what we've heard of so far. Two battlepacks, two rogue sets, these 3 £20 sets and a skiff seems slightly underwhelming. Here's hoping there's still exclusives out there still unrevealed (they usually get leaked later).

Still miffed about the two missing battlepacks though :pir-cry_sad:

I think the exclusive is supposed to be the mystery Lando set. The new wave does feel a lot smaller with less battlepacks, microfighters and buildable figures this time around. Some of the set choices and lack of new minifigures also makes it feel rather underwelming. Still I'm happy enough with the three sets that leaked. Hopefully we see the new Rogue One sets soon.

I don't see moving onto the new season as being an issue. The Clone Wars was up to Season 5 by the time we got the Malevolence and Season 2 Pre Vizsla. Plus we're getting Yoda's Interceptor next year despite the show being over for a few years now.

A bigger concern for not getting her is that Rebels just hasn't gotten the attention that The Clone Wars did. The character selection has been much more limited as a whole and we're only getting one set in the upcoming wave. Not to mention those of us in Australia can only buy Rebels sets online now since retailers will no longer stock them (the only exception being any exclusives to Toys R Us) so we probably won't even see the new Phantom in stores next year.

Not all the DLC characters are exisiting minifigures though. Both the Freemaker Adventures and Droids Pack include some characters made specifically for the game. Plus usually any upcoming minifigures that first appear in the videogames always come out in the wave that directly follows the game's release. While the Seventh Sister can still be released in the future, there's been no sign of her in the recent Summer wave or any mention of her in the Winter wave rumours so its unlikely we'll be getting the one seen in the videogame.

Just saw the 2017 leaks on Reddit. The new Phantom looks great and The Duel of the Fates sets seems like it's packed with a bunch of play features. Not too sure what to think about Yoda's Starfighter yet.

I didn't say that they were.  The difference is that the Seventh Sister features a new model for the helmet, the only other examples of that is ME-8D9.  I'm just saying that it would have made a lot more sense for them to use the Fifth Brother or Grand Inquisitor instead of making their own model and printing.  It's just extra work that they don't need to do.

Obviously we shouldn't put a ton of stock into characters appearing in the games, but I'm just pointing out the possibility.  Remember that we haven't seen everything from the Winter wave yet,  I believe it's been said that there's still at least one exclusive that we know pretty much nothing about.

I just realized that we're not getting an updated Season 3 Ezra minifig to capitalise on Season 3's release, given that we're getting blind Kanan and Thrawn already. In the exclusive set, perhaps?

Disappointing as the sets themselves may be, at least they include some great minifigures and are very easy to swallow at the given price points. I didn't have high hopes for these specific sets in the first place; I think the Rogue One sets are going to be the far more exciting ones of the January wave. Hopefully those are leaked very soon.
