I like the new Phantom especially and hope it means a new Ghost later next year that can fit it and improves on the original. Only set I don't see myself getting is the Duel on Naboo unless it has some good new prints. It seems lego now wants to continually make $25 set of important scenes in a scale that makes it look ridiculous (considering this set and the Carbonite set this year). I also like Yoda's Eta-2 and the desert skiff and, like with the Phantom/Ghost, I hope for a new Sailbarge since I skipped the last one and I regret it. I like the landspeeder and I might get it since I missed the last few and the cantina and I've always liked it since the original was my first Lego set ever . I was hoping from more from the bunker but I can see it being a $60 set since it seems basically like the Maz's castle of the year (will get it for more Shore troopers, though, since they should've had 1 in the BP). I like the Y-wing a lot but are we sure it's supposed to be from Rogue One? I only ask because the one in the Rebels S3 premiere had room for two pilots like this one. This could also mean that the white wookiee could be a stand-in for a new-designed Zeb? I'm only speculating but it would make the Y-wing design make more sense since Rogue One is so soon before ANH that it would be weird for it to have changed design that quickly. It's not Zeb it's Morof a new character. Quote
jdm44 Posted September 27, 2016 Posted September 27, 2016 Is there any updates on the Lando set? That's the one I'm most excited about. Quote

Cause if it is confirmed that yeah its obviously a RO set but besides that character it still seems likely that it could be a rebels set. Quote
RetroInferno Posted September 27, 2016 Posted September 27, 2016 It could be anything at this point. Brickset has it listed as Rebel Hangar, Legomilk said there was a Lando set thrown in 2017 but also mentionned 3 RO based sets, 2 middle sized one and a big one. So yeah, there's a set or two missing, which are most likely brand exclusives ( Target and Toys r Us ) which may contain Lando or not. Quote
Forresto Posted September 27, 2016 Posted September 27, 2016 Two death troopers in the battlepack is definitely overkill. Considering how many sets we're going to buy to army build stormtroopers we are all going to have a number of death troopers equal to stormtroopers. Thats a bit ridiculous Quote

It's pointlessly ridiculous that it doesn't have a Shore Trooper or even an officer as we can always use more of them. It deserved having four different figures over the First Order BP which should've had at least 2 regular stormies. Quote

wesker Posted September 27, 2016 Posted September 27, 2016 Both battlepacks look pretty good. I'll be picking up a few of them. Will be interesting to see if the vehicles appear in the movie itself. I'm also curious to see whether the new Rebels are going to be used across the entire film or if some of them are going to be unique to certain planets like the Hoth and Endor ones were in the OT. Seaber Posted September 27, 2016 Posted September 27, 2016 I think I'm going for one of each set, except the Tie Microfighter and Yoda's ship. Duel of the Fates I'll make my mind up when I see the real thing. My current to buy list has all the Rogue One sets, Kylo's Shuttle, Falcon, Takodana, Jakku, Resistance X-Wing, Rebels A-Wing and Rebels Frigate! That's not much breathing space until these new sets come out! Quote

So how's 2 highly detailed new Deathtroopers minifigures in cheap battlepack is a poor decision? Shoretroopers are coming out in Skariff set next year, so that's a way to get them, or bricklnk them. And officers minifigures in battlepacks are bad decisions in my opinion as battlepacks are supposed to help build large armies of generic troopers. This years FO battlepack is a great example of Lego screwing up, by including 2 FO engineers instead of just 4 Stormtroopers as fans wanted. So people who bought more than a few of this battlepacks now have equal amounts of engineers and Stormtroopers which is ridiculous! Did anyone wanted to build army of FO engineers? No! So I'm glad that they learned from that mistake and are making army builders battlepacks. Edited September 27, 2016 by benderisgreat Quote
makoy Posted September 27, 2016 Posted September 27, 2016 All the speculations regarding the numbers of Stormtroopers and Deathtroopers in the movie can only amount to a long but fruitless debate because no one had seen the movie yet. I do like that we are getting 2 each.. will I prefer more Stormtroopers, yes... But it is beyond my control. As long as TLG do not put random battle damage, I am fine with it. Then, after thr movie comes out it will be a different discussion once we know how significant the Deathtroopers and Shoretroopers are becuase by then we will have a basis to anchor the discussions (or debate). :) Quote
Aethersprite Posted September 27, 2016 Posted September 27, 2016 I really wish Lego had included one Shore Trooper in the BP, but I love Death Troopers so I'm not complaining! Planning to populate my Krennic's shuttle with those anyway. Quote

You're right to a certain extent, but we can certainly derive a decent amount of information from trailers, teasers, interviews, and promotional images. Based on what we have so far, it's reasonable to assume that Stormtroopers will appear in very large numbers, whereas Death Troopers are going to be a much smaller squad of elite troopers. That said, I still think the distribution in the Battle Pack is good, especially considering that most people won't buy a massive amount of them. It'll still be possible to build a sizable army of Stormtroopers if one wishes to, though. Their presence in the Battle Pack should bring down the Bricklink prices by a large margin. Quote
That Orange Thing Posted September 27, 2016 Posted September 27, 2016 Two Stormtroopers and a single Shore trooper/Death trooper would have been the perfect mix. Buy a few of those battle packs and you have a well proportioned army. I think army builders are always going to want more Stormtroopers than any other type because we have been starved of a good supply of them over the years and you never know when lego will cut you off again. I can only hope that the rebel battle pack comes with a good mix of all the new designs on offer in the RO sets. Having one each of the new helmets would be a good start. Quote
Forresto Posted September 27, 2016 Posted September 27, 2016 It wouldnt be so bad if they included a shore trooper in a cheap set but I would rather not pay up to $120 for three of them between two sets. Whilr its nice to have access to Death Troopers its going to be strsnge have a dozen or so commandos. Quote
RetroInferno Posted September 27, 2016 Posted September 27, 2016 Buy a couple of them and Bricklink the rest I guess. Stormies are going to be dirt cheap when this battlepack is released. Quote
Robianco Posted September 27, 2016 Posted September 27, 2016 I think that's definitely one of the upsides to this BP (I think it's a pretty great BP anyway) but bringing the price of the Stormtrooper down on the aftermarket is a winner. I've found myself with more and more of them following the Advents for the last two years and now getting them in plentiful supply in a new BP will have the price very low indeed. Alternatively... buy lots of BPs and sell your extra Death Troopers. Quote

Aethersprite Posted September 27, 2016 Posted September 27, 2016 Can anyone tell if the Death Troopers in the BP have their cloth pauldrons on, by the way? Quote

1980-Something-Space-Guy Posted September 27, 2016 Posted September 27, 2016 But even the Lando rumour was not about a cloud city style Lando, right? Quote
jhaelego Posted September 27, 2016 Posted September 27, 2016 I believe the Death Troopers in the BP will be ones without the pauldron/pockets, keeping the ones from the shuttle unique. I guess it isn't IDEAL for have that kind of distrubution of troops, but guys, we have been waiting for any sort of cheap way to get the newest OT stormtroopers for such a long time. I will embrace this with open arms. Quote
