Technically, Legends wasn't canon.  It was expanded universe.  It was a lower tier of canon already, and could have been overridden at any time by a higher tier.

I don't know that what GL said back then matters a whole lot now. DF used to talk about continuity issues through the CW's shows and trying to resolve them with Leeland Chee...

It doesn't matter what George said then because Disney owns Star Wars  now and they can do whatever they want with the Expanded Universe / Legends materials.

However, some of the Legends / EU materials are not wasted entirely and I think this is where the misconception "some legends are canon, some are not" are coming from... Simply put -- Legends are legends and therefore not canon any longer but some can still be canon moving forward just like how new canon book authors are cherry picking some interesting bits and pieces from EU and making them canon with the slightest references. This is also apparent with Rebels bringing in Thrawn as well as introducing Wedge's back story (though not entirely similar) which can be traced from Legends but are now canon.

Curious to see how the headpiece for Kanan would work. If it will be like the Agent from the new CMF series or just be a solid piece.

I looked at the image for the new phantom again and kanan's silhouette suggests to me that it's a new part for his blindfold mask. I think we will see pretty soon either way though. I just hope that they give his new face the wrecked eyes look that they have in the show when the mask is off

Why is everyone discussing canon/legends/expanded universe?! 

Not only is that not relevant at all (it was originally but now it's devolved into a definition test) but it's also information that's been online for years now ever since Lucasfilm was bought by Disney! Just google it instead of clogging up the forum with it! 

When I see new replies, I come on to expect set news, or better yet these new images. And I just get these people rambling on about something which was made crystal clear back in 2013!!!

I think it's a new mold with the hair molded in, kind of like Jyn's hat. Kanan's mask is too prominent that a simple print wouldn't do it justice!

TOTALLY agree.  It comes across like pedantic, overzealous fanboys trying to out nerd each other by showing off the depth of their knowledge in made up stuff.

Regarding this set that blind Kanan and Thrawn are in... I'm still skeptical that it would be 30 USD as written on the first page...  but I like to be surprised if it is indeed this cheap to get Thrawn.

I would say by the end of the week or the next one, we've got all of the winter sets images for City, Nexo Knights, Creator and Technic a few days ago.

I'd guess Saturday. It's a really stupid theory that won't work out, but for the last 2 years the images have come out on the weekend, and with a few themes already seeing images, I'd assume we'll see them soon.

I'm surprised too, but the Phantom II definitely fits the bill of a USD$30 set given its size, and number of minifigs (3).

Excellent point, sorry about that.  Let me explain a lil bit better for you all...

 

We get a rumor that seems to be fairly trustworthy.  We add it to the first post.  If it comes from a member, we will put that member's name in the 'source' spot.  If that rumor turns out to be false, we will leave it as a false rumor so everyone can see that this was not true...and I don't have to answer 40 pms asking where it went!  It is also a reminder to us that the member who gave us that info wasn't as sure as they thought they were...so next time they being us info, we can be a lil bit more cautious.

Speculation is Admiral Raddus as they're in navy and the second minfig is navy.

I just hope we get two tubes! they did cad bane so another with facial protrusions would be great.

It would be amazing if we get an updated rebel fleet trooper, which would fit in as they are navy. If not maybe there could be one if the rumoured rebel hanger is yavin.
