Peru - Any unique lego sets/figures?

Hi everyone

I'm on holiday in Peru at the moment and wondered if anyone knew if there are any sets or figures unique to Peru.

I ask because a friend went to Copenhagen earlier in the year and a department store (not the Lego store - that would be too easy) had rights to sell a unique Danish soldier minifigure.

If there is anything similar sold here that I can't buy in the UK I'd love to know about it so I can buy it in Lima when I pass through on the way to the airport.

Haven't heard of anything exclusive to Peru, I can only think of store opening exclusives and the 2016 Rio Olympic games mascottes. But about the airport, maybe keep an eye out for something like this: http://brickset.com/sets/40146-1/Lufthansa-Plane ?

Yeah, there's a museum that has some really crafty custom figures made up...but I do not recall which one it is.

Other than that, no clue. I'll look around, see if I can find anymore details; although I'm sure a Google search will yield some info.

I don't think South America is a big Lego market (I lived two years in Argentina and hardly saw any Lego). Yeah some promotional stuff gets down there like the Shell gas station cars, but for the most part there isn't any exclusive stuff (Brazil's Olympics sets being the first South American exclusive I know of).

For figures though, I'd recommend kitbashing official figures. The Mexican Mariachi figure in the Collectible Mininifigure line has a nice poncho that can be used in many Latin America settings, and the Native American baby in the CMF line to does look similar to baby slings used in the high Andes mountains. But yeah to represent the country you'll need to make some good MOCs.

EDIT: I just remembered that a few of the Indiana Jones 4 sets were set in Peru. They have been long since discontinued but they are Peru related.

Thankyou for the replies. I'll see if I can find a Lufthansa plane and if the Brazil sets are being sold in Peru.

Stash - If you can remember the museum, that would be awesome. I've tried googling various things with no luck. In fact, the top result is this thread on most searches!!
