SilentWolf Posted May 27, 2016 Posted May 27, 2016 Last month, Garvey boldly sailed out fleets of privateers and several set upon Corrington vessels. Admiral Mercedes' fleet had a run in with several of the Corrington vessels. This resulted in the capture of the Garvey vessel, Hunter, by the HMS Pandora. Being badly damaged in the battle the Pandora was sent for repairs and refitting of guns. Now as the month comes to a close she is sailing out of port with the HMS Bagg of Bolton to defend merchants against all such pirate and privateer attacks. HMS Hunter is commanded by the newly commissioned, Captain David Townsend. Previous Stories Quote
Bregir Posted May 28, 2016 Posted May 28, 2016 Another nice looking schooner, Silentwolf. I think the Hunter looks even sleeker and faster than the Bagg of Bolton, and I am a particular fan of flushdecked designs for these types of vessels. The rigging is looking pretty nice, although I would raise the gaff of both spanker sails, to increase their size. Especially the spanker on the fore is very small. And as I said elsewhere, the spankers should be brought all the way in to the mast. And I fear that figurehead will be sadly in the way when handling the headsails! Overall, very nice addition to the Royal Navy! Well done! Quote
