Ezeran takes a reprieve to remedy himself, the sickly gray coloration fading from his symbiote's complexion. Hunkan hides as his opponent goes for another headshot, while Kid and his opponent's back-and-forth results in another hit for the Ranger. Goliath ticks ever closer to Doom as he tears into the Apostle with a mighty blow. The battle is going poorly for the Crimson Crown, but the Apostle draws back, sprinkling some kind of neutralizing dust upon the flames behind him. The alchemical fire fizzles and momentarily dies, allowing a small mob of chemists access before leaping up once more. Newly reinforced, the Crimson Crown stands strong against the Heroes. The newly-revived Sigil scores a blow against the enemy chemists, as Ezeran follows up with a mighty gout of green flame, scorching the Elites to cinders and heavily damaging the other enemies...only to fizzle out just shy of what would have been a killing blow on the Apostle, as his Ether stores dry up entirely, his symbiont feeling parched and dry from the effort. Petaldan leaps forward through the flames for a surprise strike, but The Cardinal is prepared and strikes the Knight so strongly on the skull that the poor boy can no longer see. He bounces back through the flames, catching fire as the Cardinal scatters more Sealing dust over him. Hunkan, perhaps displeased by what had just happened to Petaldan, lunges forward with a strike of his own, and this time it lands true, though unfortunately for the Dwarf the Cardinal's pockets seem empty of easily-accessible coin. The remaining party members seem to move sluggishly, looking wide open for attack, but the blind Petaldan still somehow manages to leap up from his should-be-fatal injuries to defend his friends and allies, a true Hero to the end. However, he cannot save Goliath from his Doom, as the automaton collapses to the ground from the Apostle's earlier attacks. First she tosses the Baffle Bomb she just made at the enemies to make sure the Apostle is out of the equation, then revives Goliath with a Phoenix Essence, and attacks the Cardinal twice. Sigil follows with another wood-elemental spell.
