Designer Credits for Lego Sets?

Is there a reliable way to find out who designed a particular Lego set?

It would be great to be able to find sets by the same designers as other sets that I like.

Some designers get on Brickset and create Bricklists for the sets they designed.

Also Easter Eggs are a good clue. Initials on stickers, birthdays, etc. One of the most famous is the fire extinguishers in Marvel sets, but I can't remember who uses that as his call sign.

There are some clues available here and there, like the Easter Eggs xboxtravis mentions. TLG is not very outspoken about who does what, with some notable exceptions such as the large Creator Expert sets and their promotional videos.

I wondered if we had a thread about Easter eggs in sets, but not so much who designed them, although the license plates are a fun one. I thought a collective of things like the years on the buildings in the Modular theme, 1932 on 10197 Fire Brigade, the year Ole Kirk started business. And 1891 on 10224 Town Hall, the year Ole Kirk was born. 

And isn't "Raph" on the CMF Mechanic something?
