DraikNova Posted August 23, 2015 Posted August 23, 2015 Really? Is it non ultrabuild? XD I'm not really up to date on non-constraction pieces, my bad. And yeah, menacing creatures(animals/rahi) would be welcome, as we haven't seen something along those lines since 2011. Spiders DON'T COUNT. Lol Mostly because the only thing scary about spiders are how spindly small ones are. Larger ones just look adorable. I want to see a properly menacing-looking raven soon, maybe a monstrous (elephant) seal (those things look like sacks of rubber but act like organic wrecking balls) and a few original creatures, like G1 had Tarakava. Shakar Posted August 23, 2015 Posted August 23, 2015 Mask Maker vs. Mask Hoarder, anyone? I mean if he has to be packaged with a Toa sized character, wouldn't this work (that's if Ekimu really does get upgraded from his current state)? I was wondering about Makuta myself. They have to somehow slip the gold MoCO, even if it might be black or gray in his current form (Makuta wearing the MoUP sounds too much of endgame material to me). I'm not even sure if Makuta is getting a set form in 2016, we might get an external villain (like Kulta) or a liutenant (like LoSS might've been) as the year's final boss. Or maybe Umarak is the main villain for the entire year, but I somehow doubt it. Either way, we might get Protector Makuta as an excuse to somehow release the gold MoCo, as it is going to be the symbol of the year just like the MoCr is for this one. Something like a morally flipped MMvsSG with a larger Ekimu could work, but it sounds like it'd be one of those non canon sets (considering what happened to Ekimu, would Makuta really be able to return to his original form?), like Lhikan and Kikanalo. I'm not sure if Lego wants to repeat that type of confusion. A Makuta+Creature set would be easier to justify, but by Summer the Creatures theme might be done with in order to get to the wave's motif. It'd be kind of releasing a Tournament of Elements set among the current ghost-themed wave of Ninjago. A third way to get the MoCo could be keeping Makuta out of the picture and having Summer's main villain somehow find the mask and include it in his/her (oh who am I kidding) set. The year could end with the villain accidentally or intentionally managing to use the Mask to revive Makuta. Quote
Mandate Posted August 23, 2015 Posted August 23, 2015 Back on the subject of the creatures (no, I don't trust Nekchir's descriptions at this point), does anyone remember the scorpion-man statues at the shrine for Pohatu's golden mask? Perhaps the Summer wave will be humanoid versions of the creatures? Quote
Still Raindrop Posted August 23, 2015 Posted August 23, 2015 I'm wondering what Terak could be. Moles don't have long claws, they have large, six-fingered hands with humongous palms. Maybe the taper of a mole's snout was misconstrued as a claw? I dunno, looking at pictures of some moles (like the star-nosed mole), they definitely have prominent claws, even if they're not super long. I still think it could be a mole of some sort. Quote

I still think it could be a mole of some sort. In the case of the star-nosed mole, they're almost the same size as its nose tentacles. The hand itself is larger than the claws and I can't think of any claw piece of appropriate sized part that would fit unless he gets a new hand mold, which seems unlikely. Terak would have to be huge, probably using the Savage Planet paws for hands in that case. I don't think a mole of that size could fit in the set. Edited August 23, 2015 by DraikNova Quote

Keep in mind this is the fantasy world of Bionicle where spiders also only have four to six legs. Seeing a mole with large claws isn't out of the question. What I'd like to see is a frog for one of the creatures. Ghekula was one of my favorite Rahi back in the day, and I'd just love a G2 toad or frog. Or a Tarakava. Small-sized Tarakava would be adorable. Quote
DraikNova Posted August 23, 2015 Posted August 23, 2015 A CCBS frog with a jumping-feature (probably lever-activated and preferably using a spring piece rather than a rubber band) would be the cutest thing ever. Mini-Tarakava would be a close second. Kind of wondering what they'd use for its fists. To be honest, the primary reason I don't want Tekar to be a crab is because of the inevitable "Boxor crab" puns. Quote

My best is that we will see a Protector-sized Makuta next summer trying to go after the MoCo, ala Ekimu this year. That way we will have the main two characters lined up for 2017's presumed epic showdown for the MoUP. it is unknown whether he will be in his Protector form or enlarged form; I'm hoping for him to be reverted back to his Protector form so that him and Ekimu will be evenly matched. I really doubt they would just Make Makuta a re-skin of Ekimu, but there's the problem that the MoCo has to be fitting for his color scheme too. But they for sure won't try to sell gold and purple guy as a baddie unless he has some large changes to his animation version. Quote
Mendicant Posted August 23, 2015 Posted August 23, 2015 I really hope we get a Protector Makuta, just for completion sake. It could always be said that when the MoUP was removed he reverted back to his original self. I do love that gold and purple. Quote

DraikNova Posted August 23, 2015 Posted August 23, 2015 (edited) Aaaaand Nekchir faked the whole thing. Great, back to square one. Edited August 23, 2015 by DraikNova Quote

DuckBricks Posted August 23, 2015 Posted August 23, 2015 Spread the news, Nekchir said it was all a joke. Ugh. That's extremely disappointing. I trusted him. :(. Being one of the skeptics, I asked for proof and he sent me a very blurry catalogue image. I now know it was 'shopped. This is extremely disappointing for him. Aren't we all supposed to be responsible adults? Quote
CM4Sci Posted August 23, 2015 Posted August 23, 2015 Catalog pics were hilariously fake. Being the owner of two full retailer catalogs, the photos weren't accurate at all. Quote

DraikNova Posted August 23, 2015 Posted August 23, 2015 We're going to have to find better ways to discourage trolls soon, I feel. Now that we're all uncertain again, what creatures do you guys think would be appropriate for the various elements? For fire, I think a phoenix-like bird or salamander (maybe a Dimetrodon-like creature to make it a little more interesting) would work best. Quote

BrickJagger Posted August 23, 2015 Posted August 23, 2015 I seriously feel bad for you Bionicle fans. What is it with Bionicle and trolls? Isn't this the fourth time you've been trolled in a month? Some people need to get a life..... Quote

I'd actually want that one to be the jungle one though. For fire, phoenix or dragon....love the idea of a new scorpion for stone, maybe a worm-like thing or......a mole wouldn't be bad either for earth. Oooh an octopus for water, wolf would make perfect sense for ice. Quote
Sir Walter Maugham Posted August 23, 2015 Posted August 23, 2015 Wow....all I'm gonna say is: THE KEETORANGE DREAM LIVES ON. *fistpump* :D But the purging of the Keetorange was the best part of this "leak." Quote
