Well, while everyone is gushing over the SW Constraction sets today, I'm going to pop in here and say that seeing those sets really gives me high hopes as to the potentiality of getting larger figures in Bionicle. All of them are taller than Tahu, so it's not out of the question that we could get larger villain characters in the future.

You're not alone. I really want to see the leaks for Bionicle 2016!!! Or at least official unveilings of those sets....I really want to see what they all look like, considering 2015 was a fantastic year for the theme. I think it was, at least.

Even if we're not getting any more leaks I think the sets will be officially revealed in October. That seems like a reasonable time to unveil them to the world right?

Yeah, I agree with you on that one. Just one more month....ish!!! I'm most looking forward to seeing Kopaka/Pohatu and their respective creatures.

I think next week we'll see those damn leaks, if last year is a good indication.

How about his weapons? Or what mask he's wearing (or more precisely, if they're repeating the MoCr mold or keeping it exclusive to MMvsSG)? Or if the Beasts will resemble actual animals or mythical monsters, and which ones?

Umarak the Destroyer better be like Darth Vader. Not only in size, but with a technic torso as well. That would be great. About Ekimu 2.0, I think he will have silver as well as gold. (not only silver feet and hands)

I think we'll have the very same MoCr we got this year, since it was the most expensive mask to make.

There's also a high probability we'll get Toa with this year's masks, in order to make things cheaper and help brand recognisability.

Or he could ride a beast-pulled chariot, like Sahmad. Your idea seems more likely, though.

I think Ekimu will have the MoCr, but I highly doubt Umarak in either incarnation will feature a technic torso. The only real reason that was done with Darth Vader was to make his bulky armor as movie-accurate as possible. With Umarak, I think they'll just use the "extra" money to give him a more complex CCBS build. Maybe a towering, Grievous-like hunchback, but significantly more armored, or perhaps he'll be a more dwarf-like bulky giant, like a massive version of Onua.

Yeah, I agree with you on that one. Just one more month....ish!!!

As I have said before, last year was different. Bionicle was debuted at NYCC because it was a returning theme with a large existing fanbase (possbily also because there was a huge leak that had a lot of traction online), and it is pretty unreasonable to expect them to have another large Bionicle panel again if it is just another theme they have running. I also highly doubt that Lego will show off new sets anytime before their release until the official pictures go up.

It's a long shot, but I want to believe. CM4Sci, have you seen 'Deleted' before and, if so, what does it usually mean? I am betting they had the idea for a 'Booster Pack' and scrapped it, but it was far enough along in development that it has a number dedicated to it.

I hope it hasn't been cancelled. It makes perfect sense to reintroduce mask packs next year, what with the theme seemingly being an actual hunt for masks rather than being led along like donkeys by the Protectors.

If they are/were mask packs, maybe they will be/would've been packaged in a box that resembles the stands we've been seeing. Like the one the Gold Skull mask comes with but as a box instead.

As much as I want mask packs, I don't see Lego doing them as kids may be confused as to why the Toa can all have the same "face..."

I know it didn't stop them from doing it in Gen1, but it's highly unlikely as swapping masks has not been featured in the story yet...

I personally hope that's the case, I'd rather budget went into parts that aren't so single-character centric.

Unless they use the older masks in new colors, which would be an acceptable compromise.
