And wow, Lewa looks terrific. An evolution of the 2015 design, and generally better executed. I didn't expect to like it as much as I do, but I do!

I absolutely love Lewa's design! It's so coherent and uses some really creative techniques for the upper arms and lower legs. I do think that he could use more yellow (which makes for a great accent color on Uxar), because his color scheme doesn't "pop" quite as much as Gali's or even the 2015 Lewa's, but other than that he's a stellar design, probably my favorite of the new 2016 Toa.

I really like Lewa as well. The silver's a little overdone but not terrible. If he had just a bit more green I'd be fine.

From what I see, I'm liking these sets more and more! Even Tahu, despite his color scheme (after all, if I don't complain about Lewa's silver, why should I complain about his gold?).

In fairness, Tahu's only got just three Bright Red pieces, while Lewa's got five or so Bright Green ones. Conversely, Tahu has much more transparent orange than Lewa has transparent green. Tahu also has some Dark Azur accents that I quite like.

My issues with Tahu have more to do with his shapes and textures than his colors. His upper legs feel really bony, and his shoulders, forearms, thighs, and shins all have totally different textures. Whereas Lewa's shapes and textures feel much more consistent throughout his design, in part from repetition of the same parts (Vorox/Skrall shells, Bohrok eyes, and 4M shells).

My opinion of Lewa is still unchanged. Unfortunately, I don't share the view with many others that he's one of the better sets of the wave - the silver is just too much for me. Unlike Tahu, whose gold I can forgive because it helps push his "on fire" look, Lewa's silver is just too overwhelming. I wish they'd kept his Keetorange or given him more trans-green parts. Or like Onua, give him a green torso.

While I would've preferred Lewa kept his Keetorange, I don't really mind the silver. There's a lot of it, but I can live with. I'd say Lewa is probably one of my favorites of 2016's Toa (which is nice since he was one of my favorite 2015 Toa).

We'll see if he remains favorite after more reviews come.

I actually like Lewa's colorscheme, but I don't like the weird leg build or weapons, and combined with the general negative traits shared by this wave's Toa (that horrendous torso shell, the mess of technic that forms the internal torso), that's enough to make me not want to get him.

The biggest set is f****** Umarak as a demon. And I litteraly decribed it. He look very evil and powerful with great new mask with big creepy smile

The middle sets are looking like rock monsters and they looked ok. Haven't focused much on them.

I don't get why you keep bringing this up. He has the first set number of the second wave. It has always meant it's the place for the cheapest set.

Yes, of course there is a possibility he could be breaking that norm but the change is so small I wouldn't bother with it at all.

Well that's... vague. We knew Ekimu was in the wave, and Ekimu is trans blue and gold, so...

And Umarak is kinda already a demon monster so there's that. The only thing 'new' speculatively-speaking is trans blue MoCr and Umarak with a big smile.

Still, I'll believe it when I see it.

As for Titan Ekimu... If anything, he'll be the size of a $15 set. Not a Titan, but potentially bigger than his 2015 form.

To be honest the trans light blue/gold MoCr would be the most reasonable choice to go with, so that's not really a suprise imo.

If it follows the same sort of set layout as the 2015 summer wave then we'll only get one titan set - Umarak The Destroyer. The other four sets being priced the same. Though given they changed things up slightly with the inclusion of Kopaka & Melum Unity Set in the winter wave, it could happen. I just think its unlikely we'd get a titan Ekimu, i'd expect a Toa-sized version to give vibes of 'Takanuva' when he'll probably face off against Umarak and/or Makuta.

Trans blue Ekimu Mask... wonder if that would refer to the Mask Of Creation, the Protector Mask OR a new mask?

Expecting a Toa-sized version that is essentially a trans-blue and gold version of 2016 Tahu...

Umarak as a Demon? Sounds cool. The first thing my mind thinks of with a demon is the legs Umarak currently has, horns and wings.

Wings would honestly make sense given the concept art for 'battle bat' that we could have had in Summer 2015.

Creepy smile? Thought the mouth on his chest was his real mouth...

New mask? Mask Of Ultimate Power perhaps? Though would probably be too soon for that

Rock monster esque villains? Would kind of expect that more with the idea of Nexo Knights given the lava monsters...

Not sure how i'd feel about CCBS Rock monster villains.

Can you imagine what the Mask of Ultimate Power will look like?

I'm hoping that it'd look like a warped version of the Mask Of Light. Even if their is no connection between the generations, i'd really like to have a much more evil looking version of that mask.

Really expecting the "rock monsters" to be beasts covered with crystalline armor rather than true rock monsters.

I hope the Mask of Creation is fully trans blue, a gold and trans blue version would be less versatile.

I'm a bit worried about Umarak's mask, Umarak the Hunter has no mouth which makes him look like a stoic character. The "creepy smile" makes me think of a manic psychopath, which is probably a sign of Umarak's deteriorated mental health (like a Megatron vs Galvatron situation). And a mask with a creepy smile sounds like it would be useful for

a certain character..

I agree the Beasts are more crtstal-like than rock-like, which should hint at a relationship between them and the Creatures.

No, Kopaka's shield has always been two panels as far as I can remember. It was a surprise that they're stickered, though—pretty much all the product shots have them facing away from the viewer. I certainly don't mind, since Technic panels are ALWAYS stickered and the ones on Kopaka genuinely look good.

Why I keep bringing this up? This is the first time I've mentioned this! As others have replied, we tend to only get one Titan per wave. But we've already gotten small Ekimu - while we could see Lego break the trend by making 2016 Ekimu a Titan, I guess it's more likely he'd be a smaller Toa-sized figure.

Personally I'm hoping he's a small set. Partly because I don't see the point of making the wise mentor character into a main hero (I hated when the Rahaga were restored to Toa form in the G1 story, and if it happens to Ekimu he could risk overshadowing the Toa), and partly because the Creatures provide some great parts for new smaller sets, and I'd love to see Ekimu updated without dramatically changing his role in the story.

I do have high hopes for Ekimu this year, regardless of his size. One specific thing I'm hoping for is the Vorox armor in gold, which would be a great color for it and would be a cool choice to replace the Chima armor from this year's set.

Also, it probably wouldn't make much sense, but it'd be hilarious if Ekimu could unite with the Toa like the Creatures can.

I think they will just give Ekimu unity piece on the back. But I'd predict that because of Umarak TD's supposedly huge size he won't unite with the creatures but with one of the beasts instead.

The main reason I'd like Ekimu to be Toa-sized is to get another Uniter torso with a unique print design, either in gold or (hopefully) trans light blue. The Uniter decals have impressed me for managing to follow a different style for each Toa (unlike the more consistent graffiti designs on the Masters, not that I didn't like those) and I'd like to see what Ekimu would get. And I haven't given up on building my Artakha MOC (needless to say, it's the Mask of Creation that kickstarted the whole idea in my mind), which is kinda an upsized Ekimu, so a torso with a unique design would help me. A number of people have built a "Toa Ekimu" and recycled Master Kopaka's chest armour to use on him, but it feels like an annoying compromise.

After the 2 fake leak info we got with the winter 2016 sets. I'm taking this information with a grain of salt. I won't believe it until we get pictures.
