Neat. But I can't say I'll be getting any. Not really excited for this wave.

My thoughts exactly. They don't look bad, they just don't look neat enough. So they get a meh on my part.

Though I'm really interested in seeing Storm Beast's function in action. Don't believe we got footage of that have we?

IIRC somebody recreated the function and posted it on flickr. EDIT: Here you go.

Also, why are they wearing their regular masks while in unity mode? To justify the Beasts coming with corrupted regular masks instead of regular golden masks?

It's kind of nice to have confirmation that those crystal weapons that Lava Beast has are indeed wings.

Kopaka still wears his gold mask from what I can tell...could be rendering.

Ooh doggy, I want a physical poster! Hoard beasts? The story potential is just.... awesome. The three Toa on the poster are the ones whose masks are in the Beast sets- does that explain the "no masks" thing? Where are the other Toa? Do we got a Mistika/Phatoka-esque team split here? I'll definitely be getting all of these beasts, they're far more interesting to me than the Uniters. Also, trans-brown armor!!

That uber Umarak combo model (...Uberak?) looks interesting to say the least. Not to mention HUGE. Really want to see how he's built.

I'm still on the fence about the sets, but I'm excited for Ekimu and some of the new pieces and recolours. Man that tr. neon green head is pretty.

Gosh darn hi-res pictures making me want these sets.

I may end up getting Ekimu. He's not looking too bad. And Umarak's looking pretty cool too.

I was interesting in Lava Beast. I'll put him on the back-burner (ha!) and decide later.

Quake Beast still doesn't interest me...

And I may actually have to get Storm Beast just for that function. Looks pretty boss.

Also, still curious to see how the jaws work. Do you hit the jaw up or open it wider to knock off the mask?

Looks like you have to hit the jaw up. The jaw is attached in the same way as Umarak and Skull Basher's horns.

It's not Uberak, it's Umarak Scissorhands.

Speaking of the combo, I like the idea of using the Shadow Traps pieces as ribs.

Also, I wish the square add-on on Ekimu's hammer were golden. It's a part I've been wanting to see in gold since... well, since 2012.

I really wish the Mask of Control looked more like the impression the poster gives. I mean, the angle shown by the poster makes it look like a nigh-perfect recreation of the version of the 2003-2004 movie Kraakhan.

Has anyone noticed that the box quake beast has a darker purple head/mask mould? I wonder if perhaps the toy fair version was just preliminary and they actually made his head darker.....that would make him much more alluring for me at least....some colour consistency. I hope this is the case, as I honestly feel like the beasts are in some ways more solid than the skull villains......but also weaker structurally than the skull villains. I feel like Lava Beast is virtually for model use only....because that torso construction, the legs....those wont hold up well at all during rough play, or play in general. Other than that, it is my favourite looking of the beasts....such a shame that it looks so incomplete from the back. Storm beast has, like Lava beast, incredible colours, but I dislike the idea that the back of it is so ugly. The function is definitely the most innovative and interesting of the bunch...but that's all I really like about the set. Quake beast looks to me like the most solid of the three (we'll see up close whenever it gets released). Other than the colours being off for the Toy Fair version (again I hope this was a preliminary piece), this one is kinda my wild card. I kinda dig it. Ekimu and Umarak are definitely the coolest of the wave.....I'm going to have to save up to probably buy them all.

I'm pretty sure Quake Beast's head is still just Medium Lilac, like last year's Onua used for some of his shells. The one at Toy Fair might've been slightly discolored, or it could just have been a trick of the lighting (which often leaves a lot to be desired at those sorts of events).

I mean the combiner isn't necessary bad. It's just it's basically a bigger Umarak the Destroyer with rainbows.

When you could had made it not bipedal creature, change it's style or something else instead.

Wow, new pictures!

Umarak looks pretty cool (Althrough the mask is ugly) and the Beasts looks better than in the early pictures. Ekimu is just kinda meh for me. And also, Quake Beast's smashing arm function kinda remind me for Bruizer's smashing arm function. Interesting.
