Dorek Posted May 26, 2016 Posted May 26, 2016 Storm Beast review for BS01. I wonder what's next... Quote
Takanuinuva Posted May 26, 2016 Posted May 26, 2016 Anyone found them in Canada yet. I'm hoping they'll be out around June 10th as that is when I'm getting a new movie and video game. Quote

It depends on where in Canada you live. There are none in Ontario, but I was told some of the western TRUe currently carry them...I don't know how particularly reliable that information is, and I know that none of the toy carrying stores I usually go to have them yet. I'll check Monday for a Toronto location and let you know what they tell me. As it stands, nothing yet. Edited May 26, 2016 by lambda_cla3391 Quote
Anthony12901 Posted May 26, 2016 Posted May 26, 2016 At around Memorial Day, I'm going to TRU to get UTD, Ekimu, Storm Beast, and Lava Beast. Any objections? Quote

Junior Shark Posted May 26, 2016 Posted May 26, 2016 Just realized that UtD's golden horns are the mutated forms of the MoCo's bighorn sheep horns. Awesome. Mad props to the set designer. Quote

A very cool addition. Though I wonder what he'd look like with both those horns and the Hunter's antlers. Hmmm.... I may just have to try combining the two versions of Umarak into some ultimate form. Sydorack Posted May 26, 2016 Posted May 26, 2016 Yeah that definitely deserves major props. The black technic joints detract from it a little, but that's kind of unavoidable. They look great and it really adds a lot to the look of the sucker. Quote
Bbrink1996 Posted May 26, 2016 Posted May 26, 2016 Hey, so The Journey to One is getting a DVD release. https://m.mightyape.com.au/product/Lego-Bionicle-The-Journey-To-One-Season-1-Vol1-DVD/25247826 What's interesting is that it says Season 1 Vol. 1 so I wonder if it's just the 3 episodes we already got and the next 2 episodes are on a seperate DVD or if all 5 are on the DVD and that this might confirm a second season(?). If this is a legitimate DVD release then chances are that it will be split as you mentioned. 'Volume 1' including the first wave of episodes and the prequel. 'Volume 2' containing the second wave of episodes. This would make sense as Netflix has an exclusivity on the episodes that it has - so judging by this that exclusivity is 2-3 months. So we'd probably get 'Volume 2' just before Christmas (Late October, November?) in time for fans to catch-up before 2017. However, the 'series 1' title has been used on a lot of shows that were never intended to get a second season, so i would'nt say that its any form of confirmation of a second season. xboxtravis7992 Posted May 27, 2016 Posted May 27, 2016 Yeah I've waited many years for "Season 2" of Extreme Trains... It says seasons one on my DVD box!! :) So with that, no guarantee JtO will get a Season Two until it actually happens. Quote
Mutant Orc Posted May 27, 2016 Posted May 27, 2016 Hrm, your review has made Ekimu look much better than I originally thought he did....... Quote
Kalhiki Posted May 27, 2016 Posted May 27, 2016 I picked up Umarak at TRU. Haven't built him yet because... He didn't come with any stickers... I'd imagine I can order a sticker sheet from Lego's Customer Service or their missing bricks page, yes? I'd rather do that than go through the hassle of going all the way back to the store and returning him... Quote
VBBN Posted May 27, 2016 Author Posted May 27, 2016 My review copies will be here next week so I'm avoiding looking at review text (want to have my own, unbiased opinion going into it) but Ekimu was one of the better looking sets to me this year and after looking at those review photos I stand by it, I do like him visually. The hammer is a bit, eh, not what I would have liked, but that's easily fixable. (Also this time around I actually still have all of the winter sets still constructed, so expect lots of comparisons!) TheOneVeyronian Posted May 27, 2016 Posted May 27, 2016 Has anybody in the UK spotted any of the Bionicle Summer sets out yet (are they even coming out in June in the UK?). Lots of Summer stuff is creeping into stores in the UK but no sign of any Bionicle. I must admit I'm slightly jealous of the US where they seem to be popping up everywhere now Quote

I hope I won't have the same issue with UtD. Quote

It was quite a bummer. Luckily (after browsing Lego's Customer Service on the website) you can contact them for a replacement. Having discovered that, I went ahead and put together Umarak. Actually pretty cool. Looks better than I expected. Love the grabby claws and the new parts. Except maybe the lower jaw. I just find it a bit awkward looking. I really wish they had snappy jaw instead, but oh well. Also went ahead and swapped out the ankle bone for more poseability. Works wonders for him. Good thing I found that discounted PoS! Quote

MrHerofan Posted May 28, 2016 Posted May 28, 2016 Does anyone else see the jaw pieces more as beards and not jaws? I was looking at reviews of the sets and wondered why the jaws were made to be so wide open. Then it dawned on me that they could be beards! I know that its far fetched but it is an idea that popped into my mind. Quote
JekPorkchops Posted May 28, 2016 Posted May 28, 2016 Uhm why would biomechanical creatures have (metal) beards floating just in front of their transparent skulls? Quote
GK733 Posted May 28, 2016 Posted May 28, 2016 Corrupted by the Mask of Control, Umarak the Destroyer is now summoning an enemy of Elemental Beasts to wage war on the LEGO® BIONICLE® heroes. Sets are put on the site with all of them having release date for June 1st. http://shop.lego.com/en-US/BIONICLE-Theme Weirdly enough Quake and Umarak still have placeholders. Quote

Hold on Finlandbro, that's the US shop: can we get them in Europe through it? Cause I don't see them on the european shops. Quote

TheOneVeyronian Posted May 28, 2016 Posted May 28, 2016 Is Europe even going to get the Bionicle sets in June? We in the UK got the Skull Villains super early last year, I'd be disappointed if this year we got the Beasts later than everybody else. Does anybody know if toy or brand stores anywhere in the UK or Europe have got Bionicle deliveries? That said, I remember a member in the Ukraine who managed to get Quake Beast early in a store, that suggests we should be getting them in June? Yet they are not on any European S@H sites. I'm just confused, are we getting them in June or not? Quote
