TheDesuComplex Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 Here's my hopes: 71312 Ekimu the Mask Maker: Ekimu with lengthened limbs, closer to a Toa size while retraining the Protector aesthetic, akin to PrimoUltimo's mod. This could perhaps set a precedent for the Makuta with increased size we saw after he donned the MoUP. 71313 Lava Beast: I really like the idea that these are unholy fusions of the Creatures we see in the Winter wave, and as such Lava beast could be a fusion of Ketar an Ikir. Will probably contain Trans-Neon-Orange, much to Mesonak's dismay. 71314 Storm Beast: In the same vein, this could be a combination of Akida and Melum. 71315: I also like the idea by Kahliki on top of this that is a Swamp Beast made from a combination of Uxar and Terak. 71316 Umarak the Destroyer: Umarak powered up by the MoCo, an 'upgraded' form of the set from the Winter Wave. TwistLaw Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 17 sets in a single wave was unheard of even during G1, even in 2006. Those are obviously summer sets. Still, I'm curious about how will they play their cards with all these returning characters (we know a set we've not seen yet appears TWO times, lol). Anyway I hope in 2017 we'll have again big waves, just to tell us BIONICLE is healthy. Quote
Still Raindrop Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 Umarak's name is almost an anagram of Makuta...almost. Not sure if that means anything. Probably not Quote
ToaDraco Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 More names... interesting. They sound cool if not a bit odd. If that's the summer wave, I hope it isn't all of them, although it wouldn't be any different from this summer. I look forward to a (potentially) Toa-size Ekimu and titan-size Umarak. As cool as it sounds to have Umarak with a pet, I would vastly prefer if he was an actual titan like Witch Doctor or the General Grievous that's soon to come out. Quote
DuckBricks Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 (edited) What's odd is that if these are beast fusions, they're actual separate sets and not combiners... The price points will reveal so much about these. I see the beasts as $15 sets and hope to Ekimu that Umarak is $35 akin to Greivous Edited September 1, 2015 by legozebra Quote
Vinyl Scratch Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 With all this talk about those Beasts being the Creatures merged into one, the first thing that I thought of was Slizers. Quote
DuplexBeGreat Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 While I really like the idea that our unnamed set is a Swamp Beast, and that all three Beasts are "fusions" of the Creatures, I do want to point something else out. While Lava and Storm both make sense as "fusion" elements, if you were asked to name just one of the primary elements to associate with Lava and Storm, what would you pick? You would pick Fire and Water. The two elements that did not receive corrupted masks in Summer 2015. Coincidence? Probably. Quote
Logan McOwen Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 With all this talk about those Beasts being the Creatures merged into one, the first thing that I thought of was Slizers. Same here. What a nice throwback. Quote
MakutaOfWar Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 I think it's a bit unlikely that they're combiners. Just seems a little out there for G2, but who knows. Quote
Kopaka25 Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 With a bit of URL guessing, I found the remaining beast is Quake Beast. http://shop.lego.com/en-US/quake-beast-71315 Quote
Mandate Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 What are the chances the next three will be something along the lines of Aqua Beast, Rock Beast and Ice Beast? Quote
GK733 Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 (edited) What are the chances the next three will be something along the lines of Aqua Beast, Rock Beast and Ice Beast? These sound more like disasters associated with elements than elements combined. So Storm is Water, Lava is Fire and Quake is Earth. So if were going to get another three would probably be Frost Beast - Ice aand... I can't really guess what disaster would be associated with Jungle and Stone/Sand Edited September 1, 2015 by GK733 Quote
Kalhiki Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 Quake, eh? That sounds like it could be pretty cool. Though it kinda goes against the idea of Creature fusions. If they do turn out to be fusions, Jungle would really be the odd one out since Jungle doesn't really have a place in Lava, Storm, or Quake. So I guess Quake would fill out the Earth slot. I guess it could also work as a stone-based character. Lava would definitely be Fire. And I guess Storm would almost have to be Water? I guess Ice could also work... Quote
GK733 Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 Ice could work but word "storm" doesn't really suit a I ice themed creature instead of say, Blizzard, Frost, Freeze, Cold and so on. So I'm guessing it's water. The rest two are rather obvious. Quote

TheDesuComplex Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 With all this talk about those Beasts being the Creatures merged into one, the first thing that I thought of was Slizers. "They were forced together... They were forced to fuse! This is wrong!" I would want the other three beasts (if there are six total) should be Blizzard (Ice) Beast, Flood (Water) Beast, and Sandstorm (Stone) Beast, with the three revealed being Quake (Earth) Beast, Storm (Jungle) Beast, and Lava (Fire) Beast. Quote
Mutant Orc Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 (edited) I'm trying to think of disaster-esque things. Ice could have avalanche? Jungle is a tricky one. Unless they decide to use hurricane/cyclone/typhoon seeing as Lewa still retains some of his air related powers...he does fly/glide afterall Just seen GK733's post and blizzard could work also for Ice. Stone is also awkward. The only thing related to desert/stone I can think of are drought and landslides...neither of which make cool sounding set names. Edit- Sandstorm could work for stone... and Storm works well for jungle too actually seeing as tropical rainforests are known by their storms of rain (hence the name). But would they want to have 2 sets with the word storm in them as it makes them rather similar Edited September 1, 2015 by Mutant Orc Quote

WARHEAD Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 (edited) Stone could be . Edited September 1, 2015 by WARHEAD Quote
Aethersprite Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 I love the number of sets! I just hope the Toa aren't rehashes of this year's sets. And hopefully Ekimu and Umarak (the Destroyer) are nice Titan-sized builds, we've yet to see those in Bionicle G2 Quote
Kalhiki Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 Keep in mind that these could still be summer sets (I figure they are since I doubt we'll be getting two Umaraks in the same wave). And what are the chances the summer wave will carry over to the next winter wave to give us the remaining Beasts? I don't believe that has ever happened. So I wouldn't be surprised if we don't get the remaining three elements. I'm still inclined to believe these are fusions. Storm is still Water and Ice, Lave is still Fire and Stone. Which leaves Jungle and Earth making up Quake. Earth is pretty obvious. But the only reasoning I can think of for Jungle is that trees are strong and roots break up the ground. Plus, Earth and Jungle in a creature form would pretty much give us a walking landmass. After all, earthquakes are just moving pieces of land. Quote
Bbrink1996 Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 So my guess is that the Creatures of the winter wave are good guys along with the Toa and Umarak the Hunter being the only bad guy of the winter wave like earlier this year and in the summer wave the Beasts being like the evil counterpart of the good Creatures along with Umarak the Destroyer (same character as the Hunter?) being their leader and with Ekimu being the only good guy of the summer wave. Again, like this year. Quote
Element Master Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 Looks like Umarak isn't a one-and-done villain. Quote
PrimoUltimo Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 (edited) I have a theory about that evil beasts(they mast be evil, Toa must have someone to fight, beside Uarak). They are come from combined elements, and MoUP come from combining elements and was "bad" and corrupted Makuta, so I think that combining elements crates "evil", thats why Ekimu make rule to don't do it. I suppose that how it will look: lava=fire+stone; (just lava) storm=water+jungle; (like some tropical hurricane) quake=earth+ice; (earthquake can make avalanche) Edited September 1, 2015 by PrimoUltimo Quote
Mutant Orc Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 That's why I suggested Storm for Jungle and Flood for Water. Oh of course sorry. I retyped and reread my own post and other posts too much and muddled myself. Oops. Quote
