I can see a "booster pack" being any number of things, really, but damn if mask packs wouldn't be fun.

Too bad if it's cancelled, but the idea of a booster pack featuring recolored versions of the masks of Toa or perhaps their creatures sounds pretty cool.

Booster to me makes it sound like it would contain something to make a Toa more powerful (a boost). So maybe it was going to be like one of those Hero Factory polys, with a weapon and then a couple of the armour add-on.

Do polybags even show up wherever CM4Sci is getting his information, or just standard retail sets?

When I hear 'booster pack' it immediately brings this to mind, but I don't think we're going back down that road.

B-booster packs? *doki doki* Recoloured 2015 masks would be amazing, but it could be anything, like weapons. It seems to me they're putting in a larger budget and more faith in the theme next year, what with a 20+ Euro set in the first wave (which are usually reserved for Summer), the possibility of a second large set in Summer, and actual names for almost every single set. So I hope this is real.

I think we'll have the very same MoCr we got this year, since it was the most expensive mask to make.

There's also a high probability we'll get Toa with this year's masks, in order to make things cheaper and help brand recognisability.

I'd be surprised if the Toa DON'T get new masks at this point. The mask collecting aspect is just as big in G2 as it was in G1 (less so than 2001, but just as much if not more than 2004-2010) and I bet that showing off the new Toa masks is going to be one of the main marketing points for the sets. And they'd feel like half-baked upgrades if they wore their old masks. I would like to see some recolours of the 2015 masks though, silver would be darn perfect for MOCs!

If anything, I'm curious to see how they pull off the Creatures' and Beasts' heads. A single head mold for everything would be cheap to say the least. Maybe 2 fairly versatile/generic/customizeable molds (holes for multiple eyes, horns, teeth, beaks, spikes) split among the 6 Creatures and a unique mold for each Beast? Let's try counting

2015: 6 Toa masks+Protector mask+Skull Spider mask+2 Skull masks+MoCr= 11 masks

2016: 6 Toa masks+2 (?) Creatures masks/heads+Umarak's mask+3 Beast masks/heads+MoCo= 13 masks

Still feasible, I guess.

Maybe the creatures could wear recolors of this year's Toa masks? I'm also wondering what the Toa's new masks could be. Maybe more accurate representations of their Mata masks(more rounded Hau with three cheek vents, larger "smile" and smoother forehead on the Miru, get rid of those damn temple vents on Pohatu's Kakama, etc.)? Or Nuva remakes, or-don't stone me- adaptive armor masks, or completely new mask designs.

Perhaps they share three masks in various, in corrupted and uncorrupted forms, a la G1? This would wave 1 to have a reasonable amount of enemies for the Toa to face while the creatures are evil at the start (with the Mask of Control's influence affecting them through their corrupted masks), while the beasts take over the evil role in the summer?

So from a story perspective having mask of fire as blue or white would had been... well kinda odd.

I hope the "masks of speed and strength" was not just an easteregg but also a tease for the return of mask of powers next year, as from story perspective it would at least work better than this year.

Remains to be seen if the booster pack stays deleted.

All in all, it could had just meant the gold skull mask...

Yeah, I'm hoping the mask powers make a return...I feel like they made way more sense than did the elemental masks for this year.

I feel if we are getting new masks, they'd be the original G1 mask powers. Seems like a logical upgrade to me. I mean, if the Toa are getting upgraded bodies, might as well give 'em some new powers.

It's important to note, though, that that is a name provided by Brickset for identification's sake, not a name LEGO assigned to the set (at least, judging by the brackets they used).

If that is the sort of thing that the set is (and assuming it sees the light of day), I think we can expect a little bit more than just, say, Tahu's weapons thrown in a bag or whatever like those sets tended to be. With the precedent set by the current polybags I would expect there to be some level of exclusivity going on.

I'll give the descriptions a read of course, but we've been fooled so many times I'll be skeptical of anything. There's a 90% probability the descriptions are fake especially because a.) This person leaking descriptions is only doing them for Bionicle and b.) he refuses to provide evidence.
