I'll only get Umarak and some of the creatures. Maybe Pohatu and Lewa if i have extra cash. The others are totally meh for me.

And, if the Mask Of Control is appeared in the winter wave, then what Mask Maker Makuta will wear if he appears? Another golden Protector mask like Ekimu I think?

I will absolutely get all of them as a completionist and because they all look amazing to me. They even fixed my issues with Pohatu's mask. Gali is a tad disappointing but I really like how her mask looks like Nokama's. Onua and Terak will be my first buys though, I'm always a sucker for the Earth tribe and they look pretty awesome to boot. I still wish he was bulkier than the other Toa like his previous incarnation and I think the ribcage shoulder armor will look better in person. I'd really like to see those pieces used as leg armor at some point similar to Tahu's 2015 'bell-bottoms'. Maybe G2 Makuta will use them in black in this manner.

I forgot about Umarak completely. I actually kind of want him too. He's got some nice recolors and a cool torso print, plus the Mask of Crushing People with Elephants That Fall From The Sky. And two double ballcup pieces, but that's not really that important.

This was my issue with 2015. Because there was so many gorgeous new things, I bought a lot of stuff... And now I'm left with a superfluous amount

No no, this is still exciting stuff. Some have said that it might just be the 2015 animations collected into one film, which would be awfully disappointing. If not though... Well...

I wonder if EtMM (Ekimu the Mask Maker) can be combined with the Creatures, too? Though that would require a remoulding of the MoCr. I imagine he's going to follow the Uniters' design, with his own torso print, or maybe he does something closer to Umarak's design.

Most likely he is just a shorter Pohatu with Onua's bodybuild. Anything shorter than Pohatu will just look goofy with that chestpiece, pretty sure he has a custom upper torso but the same bottompart toa and Umarak use.

15$ Is most likely his price considering he is the first set of summer and has to be cheap.

There's no way to stretch that for a set that is almost as broad as Uniter Onua, but even taller, it would mean sacrificing his entire weapon to make up for the cost.

I am hoping that Ekimu will be a lot like what 'Toa Ekimu' designs that have popped up look like, pretty much the same but with longer limbs and a normal torso. Speaking of which, do you think we will get a new mask or will he include the MoCr? Possibly in a new color?

It is a possibility that tomorrow we get out final episode...along with official pics of the new sets!!! Here's hoping.....probably will pick Kopaka/Melum, as well as....either Lewa or Pohatu along with their respective creatures up first.

Why do you think we'll be getting official pictures so soon? It's a bit early, don't you think? Especially since the skullies only released two months ago.

Honestly, it's more a hunch than anything substantial....I'm just thinking, NYCC is next week...the animations are set to end either tomorrow or next week...the animations will likely reveal details of the new sets.

The only reason we got official pics early last year was because of G2 Bionicle's official announcement at NYCC. I don't think we'll have anything like that this year.

We also got the finalized pics of almost every winter 2015 Lego sets in 28th of September, they weren't official though and were leaked by J2G. Has he been hinting about anything lately?

Once again, you are jumping the gun a lot. We are not going to get official pictures so early. The reveal last year was because Bionicle was a returning theme with a big fanbase and is not a pattern that will be repeated. Now it is just another Lego theme that is getting a wave of new sets every six months or so. Did we get official pictures from Lego of the Skull Villains when Episode 9 premiered and we saw a Skull Warrior lurch out of the ground? No, Lego unveiled them a week or so prior to the release date.

Well I respect your opinion, but disagree. If I'm wrong, congratulations, you were right. It won't affect me in the slightest. Also, if you look closely, not sure if this was brought up or not, but on Umarak's pic you can see blurred images of the toa in their power up forms.

These are different, but no less powerful than their previous forms.

i mostly agree with you on that...however, I think that Gali was severely downgraded this time around....Onua I'm still not sure about, Tahu is much better than his '15 incarnation, Pohatu is also better than '15...but I'm also slightly unsure about him, Lewa is disappointingly less eye-catching than his '15 version...but imagining his combo model with Uxar makes me think that he remained up there among the greater models..I'm not sure whether that's just me always getting the 'green Bionicles', but Lewa once again is one of the figures I seem to look forward to getting first again. Kopaka I think might be even better than his '15 incarnation, something I did not expect for LEGO to accomplish considering their history with Bionicle (perfect example: Matoro Inike and Matoro Mahri). The weird thing is that I like where they're going with Gali's colours (having more orange is so much better than the bland only blue colours), but they added so little of that orange colour to her that it feels awkward....I don't particularly like her mask either...but again, these are from looking at prelims lol

I think Shakar was referring to a downgrade in terms of size, physique, and armaments. Obviously everybody's going to have their own opinions about which version of the Toa is best, just as they did in G1, but in the very least the 2016 Toa seem to be around the same height and around as heavily armed as they were in 2015.

2016 Lewa's legs are just half a module shorter than they were this year. So depending on whether his torso is the same length as before, he might not even lose any height at all. Yeah I know what you mean....he looks super gappy in the prelims...it's unappealing....the other things I dislike about Onua are his mask and those clunky..ugly looking feet...I love the black gorilla-looking feet so much more than those. His colours this time though are amazing.

• His hammer looks far better as a massive hammer than the 2015 version (not knocking on that weapon though, it is awesome).
  
• His legs look even more chunky than in 2015 and his arms look to be about the same.
  
• The Skull Torso Shells should work well as shoulder armor because they are not too big or too small.
  
• While I will be switching them out for the large kaiju feet in the end, his feet work okay for me as well.
  
• Even his mask, while not the classical Pakari, is a reasonable update of the Mask of Earth.
  
• I liked that they made him wide in 2015 but I feel that I will be okay in the end with it despite this apparent gappiness in the shoulders.

He is still a 'Day One Purchase' for me as I have said a few times before.

But anyway, while not my first purchase, he is definately an awesome toa (that hammer gun is amazing)

I agree with the gun being awesome!!! Also, I really liked his '15 incarnation. This new one...again, I love his weapon, his colours, his creature is absolutely one of the best...but the back looks odd...again, I'll judge when we get clearer official pics, but he's definitely not one of the worst Toa of 2016...I just think the other ones are a bit better.

I've always liked '15 Onua and seeing him with more of a slender, generic build is a step down in my eyes. And that chest armor being just one giant hunk of gold doesn't help either.

Which is really my biggest issue with the one-piece torso armor. You don't get the nice layering that was there with a separate chest piece.

The chestpieces being one large, chunk of color is really detracting for me on the characters that use them in metallic colors. Onua seems a bit overpowered by the metallic color, whereas the plate looks better on Kopaka and Pohatu, at least in my opinion. I almost wonder how dual-injected parts would have looked, with half of the chestplate being the Toa's respective color and the other half being their metallic (silver or gold) color. As Kalhiki said, not having them in multiple parts really does limit what you can do with the color variations and printing can only do so much.
