It would be great for the game to be able to say it's the one game in which one can have, say, Mario, Sackboy, and Master Chief all together. ;) If anyone can do that, it's LEGO. It's definitely more possible than it ever has been now you can play Mario on an Apple product. I, too, would love to see a few more characters released from existing franchises. I think LEGODalekbuster523 may also have something to say about that. Yeah, I want to see more characters from Doctor Who, The Simpsons, Jurassic Park/World and Harry Potter. Especially Doctor Who - the franchise with the most new character potential. Quote

Also I wouldn't say Doctor Who has the most as its characters simply aren't as iconic as say Velma, Marge or Dumbledore. That being said I wouldn't complain if it got new packs. :P 22 hours ago, Blondie-Wan said: I definitely think Elves has potential for LEGO Dimensions. Possibly also DC Superhero Girls, though they already have three different versions of the DC universe already I think DC girls would be completely different from the other DC themes as it would be set in a school, which could be a really cool setting. Also it be fun to turn all the existing DC characters into their high school counterpart. :P Quote

Back to the Future only has Marty and Doc (both who have already been released; nobody will want to play Biff and Jennifer), E.T. only really has E.T. himself that's that appealing as a minifigure... Doctor Who on the other hand still has many iconic characters who still haven't been released - and yes, they are DEFINITELY as iconic as Velma from Scooby Doo. The Autons, Sontarans, Silurians, Ice Warriors, Sea Devils, Silence and Zygons are all iconic Doctor Who monsters everybody has heard of that still haven't been released as minifigures. As for other characters: Missy/the Master, Strax, Madam Vastra, Jenny, Clara, Brigadier Lethbridge-Stewart, Rose Tyler, Captain Jack Harkness, Sarah Jane Smith...the list could go on forever. I don't know anyone who wouldn't play as any of those characters. Of course, next year there's the new companion Bill too - and they'd be missing a trick if they don't release her as an NFC figure next year. Quote
tafkatb Posted December 29, 2016 Posted December 29, 2016 I just watched the entire Creature From the Black Lagoon trilogy over the holidays, and now I'd really love to see Universal Monsters become part of Dimensions. Though I guess there might be too much overlap with Scooby-Doo. Quote

Never. Mattel is not only one of Lego's biggest competitors but wholly owns Mega Bloks. Skeletor and He-Man are already represented in Mega Bloks' "Kubros" series of buildable figurines, and if they ever decide to make any sorts of buildable playsets you can be sure that that will likewise be done under the Mega Bloks brand. LEGODalekbuster523 Posted December 31, 2016 Posted December 31, 2016 (edited) Peter Pan Goes Wrong Level Pack: Minifigure - Jonathan (Peter Pan costume) Vehicle - Pirate Ship Gadget - Peter's Shadow Level - 'Level That Goes Wrong', based on the BBC adaptation of the play Peter Pan Goes Wrong. As part of its commitment to community theatre, the BBC has commissioned The Cornley Polytechnic Drama Society, an amateur dramatics group, to recreate the JM Barrie classic as part of their festive programming. Peter Pan flies through the air, Captain Hook and his pirates set adrift in the lagoon, and Tinkerbell is due to light up the stage in a stunning electrical costume... what can possibly go wrong?! Adventure World - A giant theatre with audience, stage, various sets and props to walk through based on both Peter Pan Goes Wrong and Mischief Theatre's other shows. Never heard of Missy/The Master until we played through the Dr. Who level and saw the representation of her there. Even my son who does watch Dr. Who wasn't familiar with her. (He is self-admittedly not any kind of expert, though. He has only seen a few seasons thus far.) So, unless they do a Fun Pack with a companion, I would have to agree that Dr. Who is pretty much tapped out for relevant characters. For the topic at hand, my wish is for a Booster Gold Fun Pack with a buildable Skeets. (Scale would be wrong, but I can live with that.) Or a team pack with BB. Ah, we can dream at least ... Quote

I've never heard of casual viewers who haven't heard of Missy/The Master before. S/he's the Moriarty to the Doctor's Sherlock and is one of the first classic series villains the new series brought back. The character's been in the series since 1971 and was reintroduced in 2007! S/he's even appeared three times since then (2009/10, 2014, 2015)! I can guarantee LEGO that if they sold a Team Pack with Missy/The Master, Clara, the Master's TARDIS and Clara's TARDIS it would be a huge success - and if I were to be wrong, I'd eat a hundred socks. FishW Posted January 11, 2017 Posted January 11, 2017 (edited) Minecraft Team Pack: Includes Steve and Alex for the characters. Then for the equipment you get the Ender dragon and a Wither. Mad Max Level Pack: Includes Mad Max, The Pursuit Special(his car), and a motorcycle. A classic car chase, featuring some generic villains not paying homage to any specific movie. Jason Bourne Level Pack: includes Jason Bourne and a computer to give you some abilities, and a flying drone. In the level you avoid the police and roam around while trying to complete some objectives. Pacific Rim Fun Pack: Raleigh Becket and a red Jaegar Edited January 11, 2017 by FishW Quote

jonwil Posted January 14, 2017 Posted January 14, 2017 I cant see Ronald ever appearing in Dimensions given LEGO probably wouldn't want to associate themselves so closely with a company that is seen as public enemy #1 in the war against childhood obesity... Plus I dont know how much Ronald is being used in their ads these days (especially in countries like Australia where advertising junk food to children is more highly regulated these days) Quote

But in general I'd be skeptical of any sort of advertising mascot appearing in Lego Dimensions. It'd be super weird to have, say, the GEICO gecko or the M&Ms characters show up in a completely unrelated video game, even one that features so many crossovers with pop-culture IPs. Quote

It's not their fault if kids have too many McDonald's. They don't force children to eat their products. I could easily see them giving Ronald McDonald NFC minifigures as part of their annual Monopoly prize draw. Edited January 14, 2017 by LEGODalekbuster523 Quote
