Mr. Lego-builder Posted December 23, 2007 Posted December 23, 2007 The links themselves work, but unfortunately, the folder is not yet public. I am also looking forward to this review, but we will have to wait a couple of hours before they are moderated and made public... Quote
ExoBuilder Posted December 23, 2007 Posted December 23, 2007 I wouldn't really call it a review, it's pictures of the box. Thanks though! *sweet* Quote
Mr Hobbles Posted December 23, 2007 Posted December 23, 2007 Is he going to make it into a "proper" review by adding pictures of the actual set? Quote
Wout Posted December 23, 2007 Author Posted December 23, 2007 He does it step by step, so I suppose he will make (much?) more pictures than this. Quote
AgentRick Posted December 23, 2007 Posted December 23, 2007 Can someone please translate this? I really want to know every nook and cranny inside of this baby! :'-) Quote
Batbrick Posted December 23, 2007 Posted December 23, 2007 Thanks for this Wout! :'-) I actually prefer these kind of reviews, you can keep checking up on them and finding new things! Nothing to Say, but Batbrick Away! >:-) Quote
Indy565 Posted December 23, 2007 Posted December 23, 2007 (edited) Any idea how much this was? Edited December 23, 2007 by Indy565 Quote
Corvus Posted December 23, 2007 Posted December 23, 2007 Yay! The links are up! -Thoughts as I go: -Beautiful box, very catchy. -That's a lot of stickers. -Woohoo! Baseplates galore! -Yay! Return of the old smiling head! -The car wash is great. The octan sign catches the eye, and the station itself has some great detail. -The fountain is beautiful. 8- Quote
ExoBuilder Posted December 23, 2007 Posted December 23, 2007 That is a huge DSS! I like the looks of the light blue minifig! Look at the golden bricks!! *wub* It's an overall beautiful set! I'm definitely gonna try to get this one! Quote
julencin2000 Posted December 24, 2007 Posted December 24, 2007 It's not public yet. Now it is. A very very beautiful set, big, and well designed. A must for every LEGO collector. Even the box, hinting the old model, is fantastic. My only con, by this time, is the big sticker sheet, but oh well, it lets you make some things impossible to do in bricks'n'pieces. By the way, thanks for the nice find, Wout, and to Jas for the original pics. Quote
Mr Hobbles Posted December 24, 2007 Posted December 24, 2007 Aha, excellent. I simply must have this set! Both the town hall and the cinema look like it would fit perfectly with Cafe Corner and Market Street (Especially once the town hall is given a sidewalk/pavement). Not too sure about the gas station, although it looks really nice on its own! The fountain would also fit into a park or something perfectly. As for the cars, well, can never have too many cars in your LEGO city! Quote
Lord Of Pies Posted December 24, 2007 Posted December 24, 2007 Oooh, thank you! I like this set, the gold bricks look very good on the fountain, and the cinema with the seats and arm rests look fabulous! The old fashioned petrol pumps look very good too, as do the hilarious theatre posters. And yes, the cars make a nice change from the usual modern models nowadays. Quote
Matn Posted December 24, 2007 Posted December 24, 2007 Me loves the cars! I simply adore the cars in this set. And the cinema and townhall. To bad I think i'm not going to get this. Quote
VBBN Posted December 24, 2007 Posted December 24, 2007 Saw this on BShelf today. Boy, I can't wait to see its prices on EBay, especialy around Christmas. Quote
