Since there's no snow below 600m asl. in my region at the moment, I decided to drive into the snowy alpine foothills south of munich and east of the river Isar. With my cross-country-skiing equipment, of course. There were about 20-25cm of snow at 680-750m asl. And nice weather opposite to the fog, we have here north of munich at the moment.

1. Humbach-St Leonhard

First I skied along the first half of the 8,5 kilometre track, starting in the small village of Humbach at 735m asl to the little church of St Leonhard, which is just above Dietramszell village. The track has nice scenery and offered a view to the alps, due to the clear air above 700m asl.

2. St Leonhard-Humbach

Just after passing by the little church, i went on the second half of the track. This part was partially much narrower since it winds through a forest, leaving sometimes just enough space for skating tracks, so the classic cross-country-track was partially gone, it is just a little bit too narrow

3. After the run: Relaxing in the tavern nearby

Just in time with the dawn, I got back to my car, and put in my cross-country skis and went down to the local tavern, for getting a drink and later a Evening meal, since I had to drive to my munich location for sleeping before work, since I had to start working at 1am

Merry Christmas everyone! *y*
