Posted June 16, 20168 yr Here I present a big toy "A DAF XF Euro 6 for heavy cargo transportation" My inspiration came from this SCANIA And the Daf that can have more than 5 axles but I wanted to rejuvenate a bit by asking a cab all latest: And the model in LEGO TECHNIC Detail of the craft in LEGO: Tractor pusher 12x4 Length 110 cm Width 30 cm Height 40 cm Weight 8 kg engines: 5 XL motors for propulsion of the first 5 axles. 1 The motor for the direction of the first 3-axle and that of the last. 1 M engine for hitchhiking compressor in the rear box Rechargeable Battery 2 switches 6 extensions 50cm pneumatic networks 4 mini pumps 4 commands: -A Blue for pressure build-up or empty the fuel system -A white for front taps. -A Yellow for the center of the truck. -A red to the rear of the truck. June 16, 20168 yr Author Nice and massive! You are using just one battery box for 5 XL motors? Yes, but most of the time it does not roll . It is placed on blocks for the exhibition and idles so the battery does not get tired :wink:

June 18, 20168 yr Author And rechargeable battery does not cut power due to the overload from 5 XLs? no it works fine This needs a trailer. the trailer is under construction , it is even larger and more complicated to make the truck . This build is massive! Great job and yes a video would be awesome! yes , it is quite massive and the video I try to make in the coming months

June 19, 20168 yr I love Daf trucks. But IMO the cab is to big, it makes the wheels look to small. The cab is way to long also. I could not build such a truck from scratch myself, so I think it is a good attempt on a Daf copy. Love all the tech stuff inside. Edited June 19, 20168 yr by Dafgek81

I also like the DAF, I agree with you too small bottom wheel but not much choice were the biggest . After that I only the first version there will be an end of the year . I am a mechanic at DAF and it helps me a lot to the design. As for the interior of the cabin it has evolved since . Edited June 20, 20168 yr by GBryan22

June 20, 20168 yr At which dealership are you working? Somewhere in Holland maybe? I still think you should scale down the cab, would look better. You could take a look at Dennis Bosman's site, he has build a lot of Daf trucks, the are studded though, but I think the look better than most studless versions.

I work at a DAF dealer in northern France. I'll do a complete overhaul at the end of the year to make it a little talk and a lot of change but for now I leave it like that. Thank you for the advice I'll go take a look at his work to find new ideas.

You should turn it around, the wheel size is set, so you should scale the model of your DAF to those. It works best to start with measuring the size of the wheels and determine the scale and then start building...not the other way around... Really looking forward to the overhauled version...I really do!
