rockpig Posted March 6, 2021 Posted March 6, 2021 I know that this is 48" long. Does anyone have the height and width? Thanks in advance. Quote
Mr Ogel Posted March 6, 2021 Posted March 6, 2021 according to this instructions it is 121 x 53 x 54 (cm) https://brick-collective.com/en/produkt/bb-02-nebulon-b-redemption/ Quote

It's pretty much the exact same with a few added details, so the dimensions may be slightly off. I'm going to be remastering the instruction manual and design mortesv and I worked on as a part of a Rebel Fleet Collection later this year. Same thing as the other ones I've worked on recently, anyone who got this one from me will get all the updates for free. More to come soon! Quote

Hunter003 Posted April 27, 2022 Posted April 27, 2022 Cant believe its been nearly 6 years since building this beauty.....still in perfect condition. No drooping etc. As good as the day it was built. My favourite model in my collection. Quote
salaciouscrumbphd Posted June 12, 2022 Posted June 12, 2022 Hi everyone! I've tried reaching out to AlloutBrick 3 or 4 times to check on updates for the manual. I haven't heard back anything. I purchased a completed Nebulon from a friend and I want to rebuild it myself, but I want to buy the manual. I firmly believe it's the ethical thing to support the designer and buy the manual afresh. Does anyone know if they are still in business? Thanks! Quote

sandtrooper Posted June 12, 2022 Posted June 12, 2022 There is an updated version of the Nebulon instructions available at the link below. Mortsev is given credit in the "Short Information" box. https://brick-collective.com/en/produkt/bb-02-nebulon-b-redemption/ Quote
salaciouscrumbphd Posted June 13, 2022 Posted June 13, 2022 Thank you @karmajay! I'm excited to hopefully hear back from @Cjd223 And Thank you @sandtrooper for posting, but I'm waiting for Cjd223's updated manual. Thanks everyone! Quote
ecmo47 Posted June 13, 2022 Posted June 13, 2022 So cool to see that this thread is still alive and folks are still building Mortesv’s Neb-B. I very much remember the joy and frustration of building this model 6 years ago. I’ve since moved from Star Wars modeling to 8-wide trains but still have my rebel fleet in storage from my BrickFair Virginia Display from 2017. Did Mortesv design any more ships after Neb-B, transport, and blockade runner? Quote
salaciouscrumbphd Posted June 19, 2022 Posted June 19, 2022 Thought I'd try one more time. I've emailed Alloutbrick on the website at least 4 times in as many months. I've also tried here and I've tried on rebrickable. I purchased the original manual for the Corvette a few years back and the rebrickable page says that the update will be sent out for free. I also have a Nebulon that I purchased from a friend that I'd like to buy a manual for, or at least get an update on when the update will be available. I'm sadly really starting to think that there is no intention of responding to me. If anyone has any final thoughts on how to hear back, I'd really appreciate it. I really love the models, but if the designer has no interest in selling manuals or corresponding I'll admit defeat and move onto a different project. Thanks everyone, I really appreciate it! Quote

The version of the instructions I have total 1493 pages Page 1027 (1029 in mine) is instruction 165. Installing the 'U build section' in front of the engine bulk frame. I remember this being hard to install. The 2 side fins had to come off. Perhaps also some more parts removed. Then it could be slipped up and in. https://imgur.com/ToXeaTU Quote

Taladril Posted March 26, 2023 Posted March 26, 2023 Hey all. This MOC is near and dear to my heart and I can post good news about it. People probably haven't followed this model closely, but those who have more recently might have noticed that it has been abandoned. It was removed from Cjd223's website and rebrickable. I also had personally reached out to Cjd and Mortesv about this but haven't gotten a reply. So as far as I can see, there are no methods to acquire these original plans by legitimate means. Given this, I am finally comfortable with sharing my own FREE plans for this MOC. Please check it out here. https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-143147/Taladril/nebulon-b-medical-frigate/#details How did this come about, you may ask. I had purchased the plans and went about buying all of the parts needed to build it. After going through the instructions I saw all of the multitude of problems with it. For me, building a model with the instructions is half of the fun, so I knew that for me to actually enjoy the model I would have to make plans from scratch. But then I got into it and started fixing stuff too. So I found all of the really delicate stuff and strengthened it up. There are now very few places that are one stud connections. I also rebuilt the stand so that it could be supported in only two places. To allow for long term display, I added literally as much reinforcement of the spar as I could to minimize any slumping and am confident that it can withstand many months of display without any permanent droop. Given the size of the model I split the instructions into more bite sized pieces. The result is the same model but with clear and easy steps to build with no need for backtrack or fixing. I build tested the whole thing and fixed errors I found along the way. I hope you enjoy it! Quote

It might be a slightly less epic build experience for anyone using your instructions. They won't have to use some creative methods to get it assembled. Edited March 26, 2023 by NickCartel Quote

I think we all have war stories and scars from that build. Maybe I will this again as a future project. Especially given the new base, which i never liked about the original model. Mine is still on the same shelf that I managed to position it when i first built it. I dare not even look at it, in case it topples over! Quote

I had the whole fleet on my rickety dining room table for a couple months and was able to move it around and to different locations multiple times and I was very confident in it not toppling over. All of the bases are secure enough for display even in higher traffic areas. Quote
Taladril Posted May 8, 2023 Posted May 8, 2023 I'm providing a necessary update on this thread. Rebrickable appears to be more willing to let Lego knockoff companies benefit from selling this moc rather than host my free version. So here is a google drive link where you can get it. https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1XDILXimrxUNuTYr_HEPdOj7SiYmo7dFg?usp=sharing One easy replacement for the hardest to find piece is replacing the light bluish gray 4854 with two 4871. You will encounter it in book 3 on step 193. I don't check this site often so if there are problems message me at rebrickable. Quote

I am not sure if that is the reason as I can see two versions on brickvault and brick-collective which have to be paid, maybe there was some complaint. I already bought one otherwise I still would have to decide which one to buy or use. And as you said yours is not optimized for cheap lego parts and I like all three versions - so thank you for your efforts Quote

What's weird is the brick collective version was reeeeaalllyyy inspired by mortesv's version....so its weird how mortesvs is seemingly gone for good when his was the OG. Quote
BobaFett1337 Posted August 14, 2023 Posted August 14, 2023 Hey everyone. I just finished this absolute beauty of a model after following this project for years. I am just thinking about adding a different stand and I tried to download the LDD File for Churcholos Stand but it appears the server, where Churcholo uploaded it to, isnt working anymore. Does anyone have the LDD File available and could send it to me or reupload it? I would really appreciate it. Quote
