June 19, 20168 yr Ooooh, that's a brutally tough one. If I could get away with this, I'd make a "MOC" specifically for this choice, and it would be just a huge abstract hunk of brick - as many parts from as many different sets as I could, just stuck together randomly, so that I'd be keeping as many pieces as I could, which I could then take apart and use as I wanted. If I couldn't do that? I'd really have to think long and hard about it. Would it have to be a MOC or set I actually already have now, or could it be any one I've ever seen, or what?
June 19, 20168 yr Tough choice... either 7018 or 7019, the Viking ship and Fortress, resp. Can't really choose between them, I have so many good memories of those sets, so it's got to be either of those.
June 19, 20168 yr 21103 DeLorean for sure. I have one of the early models with the wrong printed Flux capacitor. Not extremely rare but the only set I have that could become valuable.
June 19, 20168 yr Out of my regular sets... UCS Millennium Falcon (purely for geek value) or the Ghostbusters' Ecto 1. Though 8285 Tow Truck is a serious contender as well.
June 19, 20168 yr I'm confused. Do you mean MOC as "my own creation" or "mint on card"? If it's my own creation, then I would want to always keep my combined Bag End scene that I made. It's designed off of two copies of Unexpected Gathering and a ton of other material that I had on hand. It's my first MOC and expands on the Bag End model to include a larger Hobbit hole and front yard and side garden section. If you mean mint on card or more accurately mint in box, it would be my copies of the DeLorean and the Ecto-1. The DeLorean has been climbing in value and maybe once the Ecto-1 gets some years on it, it might also climb. Otherwise I don't have any other sets of note sealed.
June 19, 20168 yr If it was an official set it would be UCS Hellicarrier, maybe tower bridge but probably the Hellicarrier. If moc's are included then easily my favorite is my ever evolving Hogwarts castle (that I have yet to post of eurobricks, whoops)
June 19, 20168 yr The Star Wars star destroyer released a few years ago. The ship is very iconic in Star Wars and the model is the largest and nicest LEGO model that I own.
June 19, 20168 yr If my wife can keep one then I'd go 10221 Imperial Shuttle, but if it's just one between the both of us then it'd be the Parisian Restaurant. I have a MOC in the works that may change that answer soon though.
June 19, 20168 yr MOCs: my dark green steam train and it's passenger consist. I don't own many official sets that have stayed unmodified.... moist of them become MODs.
June 19, 20168 yr My 2007(?) Imperial Star destroyer. Looks beautiful and had great figures, especially Tarkin. Not really rare or anything but more of a nostalgic choice. Wouldn't mind this scenario being real if it meant all your other stuff just vanished, would help me find all of it's pieces.
June 20, 20168 yr Author Those are all great ones!! What's yours? Hmm, that is with no doubt a tough one. I would probably go with my most prized set, 42009 MKII Mobile Crane! I'm confused. Do you mean MOC as "my own creation" or "mint on card"? If it's my own creation, then I would want to always keep my combined Bag End scene that I made. June 20, 20168 yr Fairly tough, but my vote is likely my Florida East Coast GE locomotive(s). It's a train which has a paintjob that is second-to-NONE!
June 20, 20168 yr Author Fairly tough, but my vote is likely my Florida East Coast GE locomotive(s). It's a train which has a paintjob that is second-to-NONE! That's awesome!! 722/33/44 anyone will do Those three are all great ones!! Its tough, but I think the Death Star would be the one I kept. Awesome!!
June 20, 20168 yr I would have to choose 79018 (the lonely mountain). Even though its not the biggest it has to be the most prized set I will forever own. I really don't have a MOC that I am in love with but if I could choose another set it would have to be the 10210 (Imperial Flagship). It just holds to much glory in looks and playability. June 20, 20168 yr It would have to be one of the Rivendell MOC's Either https://www.flickr.c...02/11293556393/ or all of the parts to make this one. https://ideas.lego.com/projects/109574 Or maybe Erebor. https://www.flickr.c...57652278431875/ No I can't choose ..... because I would also want this http://lego.gizmodo.com/lego-st-pancras-station-is-120-000-bricks-of-brilliant-1540636645 and this. http://www.brothers-brick.com/2013/02/26/alice-finch-builds-massive-lego-hogwarts-from-400000-bricks/ Edited June 20, 20168 yr by Venunder
