The LDD file is ready (will fix errors if I find any).

The parts are grouped and the groups should be a good guide how the larger parts are built and joined together.

It should be quite easy to build the model from the LDD only (I rebuilt the model almost from scratch using the preliminary version of the LDD), but the building is not fully optimized, there are some 15100.t1.png parts that can cause frustrations.

The model also uses two 20cm extension cables and two PF pole reversers.

I will try to make some pictures in the weekend to show the cable routing and how the rubber ring is applied on the steering mode selector.

Video: dunno. Summer holidays, maybe I can film on the next weekend, but not sure about editing.

Thank you very much for making the LDD for this great telehandler!

Also: that part always causes frustration to insert, but it's so awesome in certain situations it almost feels like cheating

This thing looks so awesome. I hope I can find a way to add it my shelf.

Well I hope so! This is one of the conditions for a MOC to be in the HOF, and several of us believe this MOC should be in the HOF.

Just build it, move a couple of your other MOCs aside and place it in the opened space.

No it's not,it was a joke....I decide....only me....me...not what's on someone's shelf...but I am open to suggestions from EB members.

It has been added.

Not a requirement, just an indicator. I think everything on my shelf is in the HOF, but not everything in the HOF is on my shelf. So if your model makes it my shelf, that is a good indicator that it will also show up in the HOF.

Yeah, that does make sense, after all, Blakbird could wind up with some questionable stuff on his shelf (though I would be surprised).

I noticed that Lipko's Telehandler is now in the HOF and well deserved.

I dl'ed the lxf and for some reason it took my computer (a late 2013 MB Pro with a healthy CPU and plenty of RAM) overnight to generate the building guide. Huge, 803 steps and 2242 parts. Now to collect the parts and build this marvelous Telehandler. I have a feeling this going to be quite a project.

Thanks again to Lipko for building this and providing the lxf!

All I can say is ha, ha, ha. This is great, very humorous.

If everything in the HOF was on your shelf, that would be one big shelf! It would be the HOF of shelves ;) ;)

I've got to get off of this thread and back to building!

The simple supercar is not in the HOF

It isn't!?! Are you sure? It's omission is a travesty.

I built your V12 from an LDD file without any instructions, and I recall it being quite a challenge. Perhaps some kind soul will step up and make a PDF of this before I get around to building it.

This one is much easier to build, my skills have somewhat improved. I did build the final version from preliminary LDD, and as I mentioned, the groups should be a good guide. There is a front part and a rear part of the chassis that needs to be joined with a few beams and pins. So it's not build from bottom to top.

I will add that in the next update.

Thank you

I re-uploaded the lxf file for the telehandler: added a subgroup and rearranged things a bit.

EDIT: same filename and link

Thank-you so much Lipko for the lxf files.

I've always wanted to build a proper Telehandler and this fits the bill. ( besides looking fantastic )

I recently took apart an 4500+ piece Technic MOC, now I have plenty of parts to start building this great machine! ( Although my fingers are killing me now ) I have about 85% of the parts, BL here I come for the rest!

The LDD program took over 10 hrs. to get a building sequence, steps show a lot of 'floating assemblies', but there doable. This build will make me really pay attention. :sceptic:

Thank you!

There's an issue with the model, I don't know if it's caused by a faulty 24 teeth clutch gear or by the construction, but the boom cannot extend under load. I still working on proper .pdf instructions (maybe I can finish it in a month), but before that I won't rebuild the model (I will obviously test build the instructions). There are two points where you can change the gear ratios to make better lifting force, maybe that's enough to change both, but maybe the gear I had failed because I don't hear significant struggling from the motor.

It's coming along pretty well, I found a good method to step the file and hopefully the latest LPub will perform better that the old one.

I couldn't wait, I had to start building this fantastic creation.

Pic shows Steps 526 through 627. I realize I will have to take this apart many times to add the sub assemblies as shown in the early steps of LDD, but what the heck I like building

A very large MOC Lipko, thanks again for sharing

Thanks for the replies!

I said that the gearing to the extension needs to be fixed.

The fix is this, but I couldn't test it yet. Obviously it will make boom extension rather slow, but I hope it will solve the load lifting weakness.

I will put the model on rebrickable as soon as I finish and test the pdf instructions.

For those who are gathering parts and like myself, who couldn't wait to start building, I found some missing parts not on the LDD list. Be sure when you download this file that you pay attention to the "error list", that is provided whenever a new file is opened in LDD. This list will show almost all extra parts needed for this build, I found one part not mentioned on any list, # 14720 for ( 5 ). This is needed pretty early in the build, two are used in the frame sides, one supports 'gear train' going to boom, one on rear axle assembly, one in boom assembly.

I started my build using the first lxf version and found some stuff that didn't make sense. During assembly various liftarm beams are 90* to frames sides, sometimes these can't be installed because of building progress has gone too far. So after building what I have completed, I decided to tear down what I've built as now I have a much better understanding of when various pieces should be added early in the assembly. I downloaded the updated file and things I didn't understand before, now do.

I've included photos of what I built before it being dis-assembled, notice the 'Flesh Gear' located in the lower frame on both sides. Be sure you add this early in your construction.

( It is part of boom lift gear-train )

( Yellow beams are supposed to be DBG, short on supplies )

I still plan to build this (I hope). I have not yet began to collect parts, I think I have many of them, not sure.

From ritztoys photos this thing looks huge! What is the length X width?

Do you have the latest version of LDD or updated the parts pallette? I donwloaded the file and have no errors. Maybe you could try to download it again, I did re-upload the file after some error fixing a few days after the initial upload.

Also, I don't know how you will be able to build the model with the older 2L driving rings instead of the new 3L ones.

I guess your best bet when working with LDD generated instructions is to save every group one by one to a separate file and generate instructions for those then assemble the main modules. The model is grouped pretty well, I built the final version with the final colors from the LDD file. LDD instructions generator is probably not taking groups into account.
