fatsomania Posted June 21, 2016 Posted June 21, 2016 So in a B&P (Bricks and Pieces) order one of the torsos had the arms on backwards. Obviously it's no big deal, just take off the arms and put them on right, but has ever had something like this happen to them whether in a set or from Bricks and Pieces or Pick a Brick? Also, would this be a mistake that a person made or did something mess up in the factory with the manufacturing equipment? Any ideas? Thanks Quote
Actor Builder Posted June 21, 2016 Posted June 21, 2016 I would say it's just a production error. It's possible that they sent it to you because they noticed it and put in in a "Bricks 'N' Pieces" pile, because it was faulty, but I don't think they do that. I think it was just another case of coincidence. What set is that from? Quote
fatsomania Posted June 21, 2016 Author Posted June 21, 2016 (edited) Apparently it only comes from the Brick Bank, but I also noticed something else. It's not even the torso I remember ordering. I ordered the more widely used Mini Upper Part "No. 1184". I think this was probably a mistake, but maybe they just gave me this torso because the other one was really out of stock, even though on the website it says it's available. Not sure, though. I imagine things like this and the mistake with the arms don't happen very often. Edited June 21, 2016 by fatsomania Quote
Wodanis Posted June 21, 2016 Posted June 21, 2016 (edited) It is quite possible that the other torso was out of stock. I can say that yours is the first case I've heard of where the arms were incorrectly attached. It does seem odd that the person who picked this didn't notice the arms were on backwards. Then again when one is picking out parts all day, things would tend to blur. Edited June 21, 2016 by Wodanis Quote
CM4Sci Posted June 21, 2016 Posted June 21, 2016 Did they finally update that torso? Maybe that's it. Quote
fatsomania Posted June 22, 2016 Author Posted June 22, 2016 (edited) Did they finally update that torso? Maybe that's it. Maybe they're phasing out the old version of the business suit and replacing it with this one? I own two copies of 60011 Surfer Rescue and they have two different versions of the shark. Perhaps this is the same type of thing. But anyway, I think it's more likely that it was just a mistake and they got mixed up. I actually think this torso looks a little better than the other based on the picture. Edited June 22, 2016 by fatsomania Quote
jonwil Posted July 11, 2016 Posted July 11, 2016 I also got the same torso (not backwards though) in my copy of the Brick Bank. As fatsomnia said, its likely LEGO are simply updating the design of the part (I recon the new design looks good and want some more) Quote
