syclone Posted March 31, 2017 Posted March 31, 2017 Today received my DHL tracking number, can't wait to test with a few designs I've made Quote
nerdsforprez Posted April 1, 2017 Posted April 1, 2017 A major shipment must have gone out....got mine as well today Quote
MajklSpajkl Posted April 1, 2017 Posted April 1, 2017 @Nazgarot: I also think it's not good if you open the Buwizz due to waranty void. You received a new item, obviously with a faulty and you should at least try to get a response from the team - worst case scenario is that nothing happens, but I think they will respond and should solve your problem one way or another - if nothing helps, they should replace your broken one for sure. I believe they're really busy with the release, but will respond eventually. Regards, miha Quote
DugaldIC Posted April 1, 2017 Posted April 1, 2017 (edited) Mine is scheduled to arrive on Wednesday, which is exciting as I've been building a moc which I've built specifically to try out the buwizz. Are there any updates on when customization of the buwizz controls will be released? Edited April 1, 2017 by DugaldIC Quote
nerdsforprez Posted April 4, 2017 Posted April 4, 2017 Forgive me if this has already been addressed.... I have tried to keep up with this thread and I don't remember this being discussed anywhere. But when I try to connect my BuWizz it asks for a pin number. Recommends 0000 or 1234. Neither works. I have tried to re-install the app and restart my phone with no luck. Any recommendations? Quote

Pairing seems to be done inside the app: Let's Race --> Setup --> BuWizz Brick Icon --> Refresh. Select the brick(s) you want to control. The downside is that there is no way to save the profiles (for now), so you need to select the brick and go through your slider and rotation direction setup every time you restart the app. Quote
DugaldIC Posted April 4, 2017 Posted April 4, 2017 (edited) I got mine in last night even earlier than expected, with no import fees that technic addict was mentioning. I have a build that's already set up and ready to try it out, even though there was limited options to go by I found the tracked excavator worked perfectly for what I need (other than having to use a slider for lights). It charged within 15 minutes with a phone charger and connected effortlessly with my app (phone LG G4) the same way buster haus has mentioned above. My first impression is very good, it's small, light weight and has tons of power. I found compared to a lipo and sbrick that even In slow mode seemed to have enough tourque that it was able to move my WIP quite effortlessly (despite it being driven by two xl motors off one port and being 4.7 pounds in framework alone). In fast mode it moved the build along without an issue, with no bogging and quite quickly too. Overall I think it's an awesome little unit, just the size makes it so convenient, the only downside I have is lack of customization however I'm sure that will be soon to come. I hope this helps and answers a few questions Edited April 4, 2017 by DugaldIC Quote

I am using the Samsung Galaxy s6 phone; android version 6.0.1 Any thought of troubleshooting? I have already uninstalled and reinstalled the app, restarted my phone etc.... Quote

I charged mine for about 2-3 hours each before using them. Your phone needs to have access to the internet. I think this is to download the latest firmware. First connection to the brick will install the firmware - sometimes this process freezes, just keep restarting it if the progress bar is not advancing. Not sure what else to suggest. I'm using a Nexus 6P, Android 7.1.1. Have you tried connecting with any other devices? Quote

This is just a thought and it may be a bit obvious but have you made sure your Bluetooth and WiFi are on and have you set up your bluetooth to be seen by other devices and vise versa? On another note I'm curious of people's charge times with the Buwizz? Mine charged in 15-20min using a fast phone charger (charges my LG G4 in a little over a half hour to a 100%) Quote

I don't remember seeing any clarification what happens when a unit is fully charged. Quote
Anto Posted April 4, 2017 Posted April 4, 2017 (edited) I don't find the application on the App Store, for iOS. (I tried on the Play Store and I found it, but I want to install this one for iOS! ^^) So, how I have to do to install the application for iOS? Edited April 4, 2017 by Anto Quote
syclone Posted April 4, 2017 Posted April 4, 2017 (edited) Mine arrived today I can write an extensive review , but the most important things is : Burnouts with Buggy Motor on slow mode!!! The box is amazing , the build quality is 5/5 Controlling something from a touch screen turned out more difficult than I thought , physical contact really is missing I've tested it on Sony Xperia M4 Aqua running Android 5.0 1 hour ago, Anto said: I don't find the application on the App Store, for iOS. Mine did that too , but that doesn't mean it's fully charged. Read the paper that came with brick and you will find out that : the LED is green means that it is fully charged , LED orange -> charging. You need to turn it on to see the light Edited April 4, 2017 by LXF Quote
DugaldIC Posted April 4, 2017 Posted April 4, 2017 Thanks LXF, I probably shouldn't have skipped over the one piece of paper that came with it haha ?! On the other hand I noticed it go green before turning off so in that case mine was fully charged and quickly to. Quote

They'll send you an invite to the beta of the app. The beta you'll install via the Testflight app from Apple. Quote
