legoman19892 Posted June 28, 2016 Posted June 28, 2016 I am playing with Tableau and I want to see what I can make with it with a LEGO survey. https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/XLJKK8S Quote
BrickCurve Posted June 28, 2016 Posted June 28, 2016 (edited) Out of curiosity, what are you using the data from the survey for? Edited July 2, 2016 by BrickCurve Quote
legoman19892 Posted June 28, 2016 Author Posted June 28, 2016 What are you using the data from the survey for? Did you read the sentence in my post body? Quote
Mesabi Posted July 1, 2016 Posted July 1, 2016 Did you read the sentence in my post body? No need to be hostile man, I didn't know what Tableau was until I googled it. I think your survey could use some work though. I have absolutely no idea how many sets I have, I've been collecting for at least 15 years, and most of it has been disassembled. And I never have bought a PaB cup, I just use bricklink. Just a few suggestions. Quote

Just a few suggestions. I did notice those errors and fixed them.Brickset.com is where you find out total sets owned. Edited July 2, 2016 by legoman19892 Quote
BrickCurve Posted July 2, 2016 Posted July 2, 2016 Did you read the sentence in my post body? I did, which is why I asked the question. I had a quick look at the Wikipedia page which is much more enlightening. The question still stands. Quote
Dazz Posted July 3, 2016 Posted July 3, 2016 Questions 1, 8, and 9 are really difficult to answer: 1. How Many Sets Do You Own? – Do only 100% complete sets count? And how many people keep inventory of their collection to be able to give an answer? 8. What is Your Estimate of Total Parts Owned? – This is even more difficult to answer than question number one if you're not only buying sets but also get bricks and pieces through Bricklink or BaP. 9. How Much Did You Spend on LEGO in 2015? – This basically has the same problems of keeping track of your purchases. And how do you count revenue generated from selling unwanted minifigures and other parts of sets you bought? Quote

Revenue has nothing to do with spending money on LEGO purchases. Quote
BrickCurve Posted July 10, 2016 Posted July 10, 2016 Why don't you try posting this in the brick set forum? Most of the people on that would have taken the time to fill in their collections, much more so than here. Out of interest, have many people filled in the survey yet? Quote

There are a lot of bad answers though, like owning 9999999999 sets and living in "your mom's bedroom" Quote
