I was wondering how batgirl's wings were attached and initially though they hung off her neck like minifigure attachments. But with the bubblebee shot, it's clear that the wings attach from the waist. I hope the wings are hard plastic and not plastic film.

Then that decision is REALLY strange. They don't even look all that different.

It's so people can put the bow/tiara/party hat elements on them. Minidolls try to include tiny hair holes for accessories.

The Lashina one I'll probably pass on, since Krypto really won't fit in with my figures and Lashina's not exactly a character I'm dying for, especially in this form.

I didn't even remember who Lashina was, so I looked her up on Google.  Apparently she was in the DCAU shows, but I must have repressed that.

I did find this one very cool fan-made design that went in an action/sci-fi direction, but despite the character's existence dating back forty years, pretty much all the other designs I found (even the ones from kids' shows) had the whip, the shiny black latex bodysuit and metal ring restraints that don't exactly scream G-rated. I think Lego's design is suitably tasteful when compared with the classic version, even though they didn't completely do away with the motifs.

I just noticed, Bumblebee's wings are a piece that you fold under the torso as well, you can see the little yellow tab sticking out from her waist.

Super excited for the Wonder Woman, Harley Quinn (if only for Steve), and Lashina (huge fan of the Female Furies) sets. I'll probably buy all of them, though.

Wow, really? I thought NYCC didn't really do Lego exclusives anymore.

They did a BIONICLE mask and TMNT figures one time.

To anyone who isn't familiar, Lashina is a New Gods character (think Darkseid). She is fairly obscure, probably the most obscure included (alongside Bumblebee), but that was probably an intentional choice by the show's creators.

I would very much like to see those Bumblebee wings used on a Wasp minifig in the near future...

Would it work on a minifig though, the minidolls proportions are very different to those of a minifig. On seperate note those sets are amazing, though the figures aren't for me I can definitely appreciate these.

Its a peice of plastic sheet that bend aand connects to their neck and waist. won't fit on a minifigure.

Final 3 sets - the press release mentions Flash, Eclipso, and Mad Harriet - I don't see any of them so I'm assuming there'll be a retail exclusive somewhere

Three mini dolls in one retail exclusive set? That would mean it's at least $80 with none of the main characters. I think a summer wave is more likely. Interestingly Steve isn't mentioned in the press release.

Just saw the DC Super Hero Girls sets lineup on Brickset. I don't care about about the minidolls, but the vehicles looks very good and have a unique charm to them.

With some brick swap, I can imagine Batgirl's Batjet been used for the regular Batman minifigure as some sort of submarine.

Aw man...that sucks. There goes my interest in that set.

They used the entirety of the Female Furies on the show, along with Granny Goodness, for the sake of using female villains (with the added benefits of making your big bad an unassuming old lady). Interestingly enough, Lashina is one of the only major ones they didn't use. They did use Big Barda (who changed her ways and join the side of the angels by the end of the special) so we could very well get a Big Barda hairpiece from this wave sooner than later.

It's too bad (but expected) that the DC Super Hero Girls sets are minidolls instead of minifigures.  A real shame.  But at least there should be some nice new hair / headpiece molds.

I don't mean to start a debate here, so I'll just mention this quickly: I wish Lego did the same thing with SDCC that they do at NYCC and make the exclusives be early glimpses of future minifigs. I would much rather have them reserve exclusive minifig designs for polybags/films/books. Anyways, glad to know that the mini doll fans won't be cheated out of a character they love. :classic:

Yeah you'd think Lego would be iffy about going there..

Is it just me or does the buggy for the yello krytomite, in the batgirl set, look designed for a doll not a kryptomite. He is even hanging onto 1 handle bar! ?

Ha, I didn't even realise that there was a krytomite in that set so I thought it was for Batgirl. Also just wondering does anyone know if this theme is a once off thing like scooby doo, or if it will be a reoccurring theme?
