DC Superheroes 2017 - Set Discussion

Talking about the DCEU does anyone else think that they will reuse the cowl from vacation Batman (the one with the swim goggles) to make the new Ben Affleck Batman suit? I know that the ears of Afflecks suit are shorter but that didn't stop them from using a long eared version for the Armored batsuit (though this was likely done due to the fact that he had a glow in the dark head).

Not an impossible guess, but I'd guess against it.

Ha, that was my first thought, too! But honestly, I don't think it's inappropriate. It fits this thread as much as Buccaneer Batman, save for the branding. I still think TLBM and DC should be grouped together, with DC Girls a separate thread, since the minifigs of the first two are interchangeable. It's the style of fig that makes the difference.

But yeah, dead horses and whatnot. Thanks for posting it, Kevii23, even if it technically doesn't go here.

Is this the most Batman:TAS accurate version of Mr. Freeze we've had? I only have the '66 version at the moment, so the new Juniors one is tempting.

I'd say the oldest one was the most accurate one.

Brickset obv. doesn't have the two new Freeze's in their database yet. And I can't get any of the old old old figs, so maybe it's a contest for second best?

Actually, I'd say this newer juniors head is more acccurate, it's got eyebrows just as Freeze did in BTAS.

Nah, I'd still say the Juniors Freeze is the closest to the BTAS version. He's got a lot of black like that version and those iconic light purple gloves that's only from the Animated Series incarnation. If we just got the dome head like the Lego Batman Movie version he'd be perfect.

You said "we've had". Thought you were referring to the past versions.

In that case, I think out of all past and future versions of Mr. Freeze, the most accurate to the show is the one from Juniors, but add the dome from TLBM Mr. Freeze.

@amazingbricks I had to remove those images, as they were causing some serious thread formatting issues for whatever reason.

It does on my phone too. I have no idea why there's a huge gap and why three images are just randomly shown at the bottom. It blocks me from editing my post.

Has anybody noticed that the only entirely new hero we're getting this year across all three DC-adjacent themes is Bumblebee? LBM is mostly villains with new designs for previous Batman characters, the Mighty Micros are all previously released heroes, the odds of the Justice League sets including any hero we don't already have are practically nonexistent, so all we're left with is Bumblebee and I guess Krypto?? Unless you count Steve Trevor (which I don't). Marvel's already got 10 more unique heroes than DC, and they're getting 2 more in comic-based sets alone next year, both of which are actual minifigures. I know DC's got great villains and that Batman sells, but come on, they can do a little better than this, can't they? I just hope that those peculiar inclusions in the Lego Batman Movie poster wind up in sets. There's gotta be a reason why Hawkgirl doesn't have her own helmet mold when they made new headgear for just about everyone else.
