BrickG Posted May 2, 2017 Posted May 2, 2017 I think I'm just retiring from Super Hero sets at this point. All the builds suck. I'll bricklink the lovely minifigures though. Well, at least the main characters. The Flash, Aqua Man, Wonder Woman and Cyborg I'll get individually. It's a shame about the sets though. I mean, I guess they're not TERRIBLE or anything, they're just not interesting to me. ANOTHER Batmobile and some random stuff I just don't care about. If the movie is amazing maybe that'll change though, but considering DC's movies so far I don't expect that. Quote
Plissken Posted May 2, 2017 Posted May 2, 2017 They are not what I expected, but I like them a lot. Personally, I think the Knightcrawler, with all those hinges and rotating stuff, could transform into some kind of a more compact vehicle. I'm looking forward to this. The Flying Fox is bulky, but could look different, when closed. I think this set will surprise many of us, when more pictures are available. Quote
Borex Posted May 2, 2017 Posted May 2, 2017 (edited) I'm on my phone so the pics are rather smallish, but the sets don't look as bad as everybody is saying imho. I'd like to see a closer look at those parademons, they look fun. The Atlantis set looks nice, especially the atlanteans guards with their helmets. A bit pricey though. I like Steppenwolf. Is his headpiece just a bigger minifig head with bigger headgear? He looks a bit like a Nexo knight figure. And i like Cyborgs (he has a new armpiece, right?) new armpiece too. I do not care for the black vehicles, they just look like another batman vehicle once more, but i think kids will have a lot of fun with them. Edited May 2, 2017 by Borex Quote
Whovastron Posted May 2, 2017 Posted May 2, 2017 I've seen people say that the minifigure recycling is worse than Civil War....I don't see how. Batman, Superman and Wonderwoman. What exactly could you have changed considering they all have the exact same outfits. The head is literally the only thing. It is a shame about Superman's boots though, not sure why they did that. i also think Steppenwolf looks cool, I really like his head and headgear and hope that if we get another Groot for Infinity War, that it's in this style rather than the giant version we had before. overall the sets are fine. The Atlantis set is. Doing but hey aquaman. The knightcrawler looks weird but that's the vehicle rather than the Lego set, and the set itself looks nice. And I really like the look of the big set. Much much. Enter than anything Marvek have put out this year. Quote

I doubt the crawler will transfrom into another vehicle cause according to the set visits its just a mech *that can transform into a tank* Edited May 2, 2017 by BatofGotham Quote
wesker Posted May 2, 2017 Posted May 2, 2017 The sets kind of feel more of the same to me, especially after the Lego Batman Movie. I'll be getting the Atlantis set but I'll probably just bricklink the figures from the others. Quote
TheBrickLord Posted May 2, 2017 Posted May 2, 2017 I think to satisfy my decision to buy the nightcrawler I will build part of the tunnel where the scene takes place. I will show pictures of it once I get the nightcrawler. Quote
Duncan Young Posted May 2, 2017 Posted May 2, 2017 (edited) I know a lot of people don't like the Flying Fox (I don't feel that way but to each their own I guess) but here is an image I found of it http://dccomicsextendeduniverse.wikia.com/wiki/Flying_Fox?file=Flying-fox-2-240508.png I think the designers did a pretty good job, the main difference is the elongated body on the film version, there may be other innaccuracies but we won't know until we see the other angles of the real and Lego versions Edited May 2, 2017 by Duncan Young Quote

That looks like concept art. Unfortunately, the problem with the Flying Fox is that the base design is pretty bland - it's just a box with wings slapped on. Nothing the Lego designers could do to improve on it. The Knightcrawler, on the other hand, is a pretty unique machine. And I think the Lego version looks great! Quote

From the shots of the Knightcrawler in the trailer, it seem that the Lego version's cockpit is inaccurate - it should be multiple windows (like the BvS Batmobile and Batwing) and not a single window on the Lego version. BatofGotham Posted May 2, 2017 Posted May 2, 2017 Its a minor inaccuracy so I wouldn't mind. And those transparent red cockpits look cool anyways Quote

The Knightcrawler looks a mess, but otherwise I like the sets – my son (who let's face it, is the real target audience here) said they all look cool - the Flying Fox looks great to me... it's a flying transport ship, what do people expect it to look like? Plus we get a vehicle that holds the batmobile!!! I agree that there is nothing they can do about Wonder Woman and Superman having the same costume - but Supes should have double-moulded legs! Batman is a new print - and we should get his Tech suit version too, Flash & Cyborg are new, as is Aquaman... add to that the parademons and Steppenwolf - who I think looks great, nice build to make a larger figure that isn't a big-fig - so happy days for me! Duncan Young Posted May 2, 2017 Posted May 2, 2017 I feel the Nightcrawler will look a lot better once all the legs are placed in the same position, right now it just looks a tad untidy Quote
J3D1-T Posted May 2, 2017 Posted May 2, 2017 Pretty sure the images have been taken off of Delta's Instagram. Quote

VaderFan2187 Posted May 2, 2017 Posted May 2, 2017 https://vaderfan2187.wordpress.com/2017/05/02/lego-justice-league-sets-revealed/ Anyone know if it is possible for the Flying Fox to stand five minifigures side by side? I think the Flying Fox has grown on me but the Batmobile is terrible and looks like it eats up any interior space. Quote

At least if you don't like the Batmobile you can just replace it with the BvS one Quote

There goes my dreams. Anyone else find these new Superheroes sets are rather overpriced? Quote
Kizmoz Posted May 2, 2017 Posted May 2, 2017 The price of the Aquaman set is appalling for what it is... the figs are great but you can't even call it a glorified troop builder set as the build is basically a few bricks.... :/ Quote
