Amazing Bricks Posted January 18, 2017 Posted January 18, 2017 I like them! Seeing them in better pictures really helps. Two different baby groots? It looks like it to me. Nebula and Yondu look great, happy with the turn out of the sets. Quote

I will definitely complete this wave as I completed the last one. Quote

TAFOL Posted January 18, 2017 Posted January 18, 2017 (edited) Is it me, or does the dark red flame-like design on the side of Yondu's spaceship in 76080 look a lot like Laval's head from Legends of Chima, especially in combination with that bright light orange color scheme? Legocity2713 Posted January 18, 2017 Posted January 18, 2017 Are these the same prices that we've seen before? If not then credit to "Adzbadboy" from Brickiest who got it from Amazon UK -76079 - Ravager Attack - £19.99-76080 - Ayesha’s Revenge - {£29.99 Or £34.99}-76081 - The Milano Vs. The Abilisk - £44.99 Quote
MagPiesRUs Posted January 19, 2017 Posted January 19, 2017 Here are some more pictures, unfortunately it doesn't look like the Milano has much of an interior this time: More pictures for all the sets are here Quote
GoldenNinja3000 Posted January 19, 2017 Posted January 19, 2017 The Milano holds 2 figures...looks like I'll be picking up the old one too then. And how does Yondu's ship only fit one person?? It could've been better designed to fit multiple people. Really not happy about the lack of interiors on these ships. Quote
VaderFan2187 Posted January 19, 2017 Posted January 19, 2017 I'm surprised, has no one linked these yet? I know many people have found them on brickset but didn't find the actual pictures posted here (starting from my "unread" section) Quote
DuckBricks Posted January 19, 2017 Posted January 19, 2017 Sets look pretty good in general - I'm curious to know the story behind the Ninjago-style font on the Milano as mentioned by j2g... Quote
Legocity2713 Posted January 19, 2017 Posted January 19, 2017 They show Groot standing on that gold thing Ayesha is holding which reminds me of the bomb he has in the trailer. Thats probably what its intended to be. Funny enough I recently made my own version with a black version of that 1x2 piece with a 1x2 tile piece with Lego City radar/button printing on it and 2 of those wrench style pieces acting as levers instead of the single lever piece Lego used. I'll post a pic of it one day next to the baby piece for scale. Quote
Aethersprite Posted January 19, 2017 Posted January 19, 2017 Thanks for the pictures! The Milano can actually hold 4 figs in the cockpit - still a huge downgrade from the original. But given that I'm struggling with a lack of space in my house, the smaller size isn't so undesirable for me. Quote

It's a tight fit though... Also I wonder how tight Yondu's hair will fit. And what is that sliding play feature? Is it just an opening cockpit? Can't someone just open the front bubble? Quote
benderisgreat Posted January 19, 2017 Posted January 19, 2017 Well new Milano isn't as small as it looks! Back of the box shows 4 minifigures can fit in new Milano, so you can fit all 4 Guardians and put Baby Groot somewhere too. Still I find it a weird choice that Lego decide to include such a bad Abelisk and small Milano instead of making a substantial version of either of them! Quote
RetroInferno Posted January 19, 2017 Posted January 19, 2017 Except for the cockpit piece this is a total downgrade of the Milano. It's really not as elegant as the previous one... Quote

wesker Posted January 19, 2017 Posted January 19, 2017 Despite the smaller scale its pretty cool how the cockpit of the new Milano can still fit four minifigures. I'm undecided if I'll get it though. I own the last one and do like that one more, but Rocket did pilot a smaller Milano-ish ship in the last movie and this would actually be a pretty good stand-in for that version. The Ravager set isn't too bad. A little basic in design but the minifigures look pretty good. Really love the smooth sleek build of the yellow mining ship though. Can't wait to pick that up and its great to finally have Yondu. His face print really fits the character. Quote
RetroInferno Posted January 19, 2017 Posted January 19, 2017 Well most often than not they do a better job with newer iterations: but it's clearly not the case here. Quote

Figs are freaking cool specially baby groot and Quote
Panthro Posted January 19, 2017 Posted January 19, 2017 Is it me, or is Nebula handcuffed in that Milano pic? Quote

GoldenNinja3000 Posted January 19, 2017 Posted January 19, 2017 I somehow missed on the box art that it can fit four figures...maybe I'm going blind. I'm glad that it fits four, but I'm still not happy with the lack of an interior. What are Rocket and Mantis going to do? And why did we need a useless bomb dropping function? I'm usually happy with play features like that but not this time. I'll definitely get the old one along with this one. Quote

I wonder what is that 1x1 yellow translucent that is Baby Groot holding, it seems that they are collecting it. Quote
mediumsnowman Posted January 19, 2017 Posted January 19, 2017 Sets look nice. I'll probably get the smallest one, pass on the other two, and maybe buy Yondu and Baby Groot on the aftermarket since I have the old Milano. Quote
Ashnflash Posted January 19, 2017 Posted January 19, 2017 4 seats for the Milano is cool because it can seat the original team with Baby Groot. Quote
