If I'm not mistaken, by this time, or a near upcoming time last year, we had seen the summer sets from a toy fair I think some of it is the Studio's plan for release of information, like we have a Spider-man trailer so the sets won't ruin any of the surprise. But with Thor we have not seen anything yet, so they may be holding that information until a trailer is released. Quote
badchriss Posted February 7, 2017 Posted February 7, 2017 I have a Question about the "Detroit Steel Strikes" Set,especially about the new weird Helmet Pieces. Is there a Reason Lego used a new and simpler Helmet Piece for Iron Man and Justin Hammer only than just being cheaper in Production? Sure,in the Mighty Micros it fits pretty well into the more "Kids in Duperhero" Costumes Theme but in the regular Superheroes not really. Also the bright red of the Iron Man Suit just looks off compared to the usual Suits. Sure,it doesn't look bad,it just feels a bit weird. Or did Lego made the Helmets and the Suit this Way because they used other Source Material and to distinguish this Iron Man from the live action Movies of the Avengers? And if they based it on something else, what are the new Suits based on. Also,I was surprised and very happy to see that the Grille of LOLA is actually printed, didn't expect that. Quote

I believe that the Iron Man armor in this set is modeled off the appearance in "All New, All Different - Invincible Iron Man" also abbreviated as the ANAD suit. The new helmet piece and color suit that adaptation well, as colors in the comics are brighter than in the movies. It's a testament to the success of the MCU that (what should be) the weirder dark red and flip up helmet from the movies seems more "natural" now compared to the more traditional bright red and pot helm shape. I don't believe that, It's just that we haven't had a good print on that new mask. We only have the ANAD and mighty micros face prints to go off of so far. We need a perfect, classic, red and yellow Iron man that uses that helmet printed with three rectangles for the eyes and mouth. Quote
Legocity2713 Posted February 8, 2017 Posted February 8, 2017 Can the Lola's wheels in the Detroit Steel set be rotated a full 90 degrees so its horizontal in flight mode? Because in almost all the pics and reviews the wheels are vaguely diagonal and not perfectly flat but there shouldn't be anything stopping such a simple movement in the build. Quote

No it can't be a perfect flat. But not diagonal. It looks okay side by side. Quote
SpiderJazz Posted February 9, 2017 Posted February 9, 2017 Hasbro released the Marvel legends line figures. Home made suit Spidey and a new armor variant for Ironman (Ultimate Ironman). Do you guys think we will get it also in the Spiderman: Homecoming sets? Quote

Numbuh1Nerd Posted February 9, 2017 Posted February 9, 2017 I wouldn't be terribly surprised if the homemade Spidey suit winds up being n SDCC figure. The timing seems about right, and it seems unlike Lego to exclude the real-deal Spider-Man suit from the big showdown set, which is the only one that would make sense. Unless there's a third set we don't know about yet, I'm betting we don't see that suit getting a mass release. Quote

I know it's not ACTUALLY there in the film, the trailer showed us his Tony Stark suit, but maybe they'll include it to boost the want of the set. Kind of like the Mandarin buggy; no way accurate, but a new Iron Man and exclusive Mandarin design boosted the set Quote
THELEGOBATMAN Posted February 9, 2017 Posted February 9, 2017 Okay, so we will get 2 Spider-Man: Hoemcoming sets. We have 3 options of Spider-Man suit: Normal, Winged and Homemade. I think we will get most likely 2 Normal suits or 1 Normal and 1 Homemade. But I have normal suit, so I hope we will get Winged and Homemade. Quote
GoldenNinja3000 Posted February 9, 2017 Posted February 9, 2017 Wouldn't be surprised if they skipped the normal suit- it's still available in the Tanker Truck Takedown and maybe the big set will just include the winged suit and the smaller set the homemade suit. I can't wait for all the summer minifigures! Quote

I prefer getting the home made suit, that robin like goggles popping out with a minifig head looks so damn cool. Quote
Delta Customs Posted February 9, 2017 Posted February 9, 2017 like 90% sure we aren't getting a "winged spider-man". this is just my personal opinion, but I think the bigger set will have the homemade costume and the smaller with the normal costume. or both have the same normal costume. Quote

What's your take about the iron man? Initially we saw on the trailers it's more likely Mark 46 from Civil War, but then Hasbro released images of the action figures, Now it looks different. Quote

BS2015 Posted February 10, 2017 Posted February 10, 2017 When are the gotg vol 2 sets coming out? Preferably in the uk Quote

The 46 was what it looked like in the trailer, and now the action figure has the Ultimate color scheme. Well I rewatched the trailer. From the angle Iron Man is at, all we can see is his helmet, chest, shoulders, forearms, and legs. All of which is red on both the Ultimate armor or the 46. So he might just have the Ultimate armor on, we just can't see the gunmetal parts from Marvel's clever cinematography Quote

kevkipo Posted February 10, 2017 Posted February 10, 2017 Last year we didn't get Summer pictures until June, from the movie sets that is. Quote

SpiderJazz Posted February 10, 2017 Posted February 10, 2017 Yeap. we do have the descriptions, Just wanna see the figs! OR probably just some updates with the set that we will get. Quote
