Anonknee Muss Posted July 8, 2016 Posted July 8, 2016 (edited) Classic iron man (mighty micros) classic hulk (red hulk set); now we need classic thor, classic giant-man and classic wasp and we have the first line of avengers! Anyway i think with a set like this (red hulk set) anything is possible for the other two sets. Tlg blow me away please! Make us have our minds blown like Coca-Cola had his/her mind blown, come on TLG!! What a great set! Figs are great. Classic 60's-70's comic Hulk, She-Hulk, Red She Hulk, and Red Hulk! Build's are nice. This makes sense as an H:AOS set because hey had a huge jet In the series. I like the parts for the Hulk vehicle, the build looks okay. Red Hulks Is better. I like the zany look of It. Overall, a nice set! We do have a Thor actually. It came in the 2014 set. Looks awesome! The hulk set will be about £49.99 or $59.99 Edited July 8, 2016 by J4ck Quote
Borex Posted July 8, 2016 Posted July 8, 2016 We do have a Thor actually. It came in the 2014 set. Yeah, he was kind of cool. But he didn't have his helmet and blonde hair beneath it. I just miss his helmet with his hair. Quote
NXS7 Posted July 8, 2016 Posted July 8, 2016 As long as we get the helmet, it has multi-purpose use across classic or movie Thor. I'm hoping for Thor to appear in one of the two unconfirmed 2017 winter sets... Or a Ragnarok set with Thor's helmet. Equally hopeful Quote
rodiziorobs Posted July 8, 2016 Posted July 8, 2016 I only have one Hulk, but it's the best IMO (2012), but man I love the Lou Ferrigno look of this one with the dark green hair. The rest of these Hulks are good, too, but don't mean anything special to me. The seem to be okay, but with plenty of good potential in the parts (big purple wheels, I'm looking at you) Don't know if I can bite the bullet on this one, but I can definitely see its appeal. Quote
NXS7 Posted July 8, 2016 Posted July 8, 2016 I'm wondering what this set means for Thor: Ragnarok. Putting a set on the market that's Hulk-dominated before a big movie appearance can't be an accident. Here are my theories: A. It's a supplement. No Ragnarok sets, but probably this and a Thor-centric set. B. It's testing the waters for Lego Hulk interest. C. It's capitalizing off of the potential Hulk-amaniaTM from the movie by tossing some extra Hulks on store shelves. It's a film about Thor. LEGO giving us a Hulk set doesn't mean that we aren't getting Ragnarok sets or a classic set based around Thor. All it means is someone gave us Red Hulk, She Hulk and Red She Hulk, so we must be grateful Quote
HawkLord Posted July 8, 2016 Posted July 8, 2016 She-Hulk is definitely a win. And I guess I can always use another Hulk, but Red She-Hulk and Rulk aren't of interest. I may just get it and sell those two off. And while we're not directly getting Fantastic Four minifigures, at least She-Hulk counts as an honorary member. Quote
Brickweiser Posted July 8, 2016 Posted July 8, 2016 (edited) Bigger image from LEGO I could definitely see that Hulk machine being tweeked into something Joker-related. May just purchase for the parts and the She-Hulk. Edited July 8, 2016 by Captain Nemo Don't Quote Pictures Quote
GoldenNinja3000 Posted July 8, 2016 Posted July 8, 2016 Awesome set! Has any other set ever had 2 bigfigs? I'd love to get this but might have to wait for a sale or BrickLink prices to drop. $60 is reasonable, I think, but I'm still not overly thrilled about getting it for full price. Quote
Brennens world Posted July 8, 2016 Posted July 8, 2016 I have not been here in a few Month's but I feel the need to state my Opinion my This Hulk VS Red Hulk set. I think it is Horrible. Minifigures are good, nothing too special to me but those Build's look like a really bad mix between a Bootleg and a horrible Mega Block's set. I hope the rest of the wave is not like this. Quote
BaneShake Posted July 8, 2016 Posted July 8, 2016 I'm not deep enough into Marvel to puck this up, but it is definitely phenominal. I'm not as fond of this hulk, compared to the previous Hulks, but the other three are A+ material. Quote
Quicksilver Posted July 8, 2016 Posted July 8, 2016 Woah. Getting Red Hulk and She-Hulk in a set is awesome. However with this set probably being priced at $74.99 in Canada and GOTG Vol 2 Sets Incoming, I'll most likely pass. Quote
Brennens world Posted July 8, 2016 Posted July 8, 2016 Yeah that price is way to high for a set like that. So 74.99 in Canada?.... Jeez..... Quote

It just doesn't make sense to me. Less than 400 parts for $60 and we get two cars? What's the first thing people think of when they think of Hulk? Smashing! And this set contains not one, but four Hulks! They could have had an awesome set with a ton of play features where you can break and destroy things but instead we get two terrible looking cars. Lego just knows people are buying it for the figures so it's like they didn't even bother. They really should just make a Marvel collectible minifigure season. Those would sell like hotcakes. I guess I'm the problem considering I'm picking this up first thing when it comes out though. Quote
Venkefedo Posted July 8, 2016 Posted July 8, 2016 All the characters are great! The builds not so much. Yeah... parts-pack, I guess. Not sure what I'm gonna do with 4 giant purple wheels, tho...maybe make some wacky monster-truck for Joker? The figures look great tho! It's an odd disconnect that using both Hulk molds leads to one having molded toes, but the other not... She-Hulk looks great, as does Red She-Hulk (whose hair can be used for a Marvel Comics-style Victoria Hand!). And now when Iron Man shouts "Underoos!", this Hulk bigfig can answer the call... Quote
Dr Axels Posted July 8, 2016 Posted July 8, 2016 (edited) Don't get me wrong, I love finally having some of Hulk's enemies in LEGO form. However, part of me wishes we were getting Abomination instead. That's a character that'd require a slightly new mold, or rather a reprint of this years Killer Croc. In the mean time, I'll stick with my plan of using Croc as an Abomination fill-in and be optimistic for the future. Do we know if there be more sets for Marvel revealed at SDCC? Or are the Hulks and Micros everything? Edited July 8, 2016 by Dr Axels Quote

Well we kind of already have a Fantastic Four. They once comprised of Spider Man, Wolverine, Hulk and Ghost Rider Quote

Bricky Dee Williams Posted July 8, 2016 Posted July 8, 2016 Loving this set! But now, this leaves two more sets. Fingers crossed, as my expectations are really high! Quote
Amazing Bricks Posted July 8, 2016 Posted July 8, 2016 At this rate, might as well reveal the other two sets. Probably won't, hope they are saving best for last. Quote
Sir Gareth Posted July 8, 2016 Posted July 8, 2016 I expect both sets to be less expensive than Hulk vs. Red Hulk. Quote
NXS7 Posted July 8, 2016 Posted July 8, 2016 Does this mean Zemo now has a 50% chance of being in a set??? Quote
HyperOnion Posted July 8, 2016 Posted July 8, 2016 Well... that's super surprising. SUPER excited for She-Hulk. Red Hulk and Red She-Hulk are okay--love getting new characters, but they were way down my list of characters I was looking for (like, sub D-Man level). At least Red Hulk gives my Hulkbuster someone to fight. Don't really need another Hulk variant, but would be weird if this set was just the OTHER Hulks. Build is terrible, but I can see it being a fun set for kids--hopefully there's lots of destructible bits for kids to smash. And also I was planning to just get the figs on BrickLink, so I guess it doesn't matter what I think of the build... beyond it being too weird and expensive to make a good parts pack to help drive the cost down... I expect both sets to be less expensive than Hulk vs. Red Hulk. Well that's good news! Quote
Marvelous Spidey Posted July 8, 2016 Posted July 8, 2016 I almost just got a custom She-Hulk so I'm glad this came out when it did haha! Really love all 4 figures, always glad to see bigfigs and female minifigs. I actually kind of like the builds though, they kind of feel Mad Max inspired and I'm glad they more exciting builds than some past superhero vehicles (every Hydra vehicle, I'm looking at you). Quote
Ceroknight Posted July 8, 2016 Posted July 8, 2016 The set looks okay. Great figures but I can't help feel like the whole colour schemes of the vehicles look as if they match Joker and Harley Quinn more than Hulk and Red Hulk Quote
