DS was an exclusive though so Ragnarok sets could be revealed earlier. I really hope the reveal is before my birthday so I can determine whether or not to ask for them. I do think they'll be amazing though.

As far as i can tell images of the set appeared in early June and we had the official reveal on or around the 22nd June.

Right, thanks. Yeah, given that the Ragnarok sets are not exclusives, we'd likely see them earlier.

I got it from John Lewis on Sunday!

Is anyone else dissapointed that Gamora is the worst minifigure of Guardians 2 line? Why would Lego use exact same torso for her and Star Lord, when they usually print some negative space and feminine curves for female characters? Also while it's now widely known fact that toy manufacturers use concept art when creating toys based on upcoming movies, why didn't Lego bother to give Gamora unique torso print based on black suit she wears in the trailers? I mean Hasbro got her suit kinda accurately , but Lego didn't, where's logic in that?

I can sort of give one reason why the torso might be reused. Ever since Lego almost went out of business in the early '00s, Lego has kept a strict limit on how many different element designs (constituting the mold, color, and print) can be in use at any given time. It's not so much a matter of costing more as prioritizing. A piece with a separate printed design means one printed or recolored element fewer used elsewhere. And while Lego graphic designers may be salaried, as TheBrickHitHouse said, any time spent crafting two similar torso decorations is still time that could otherwise be used on a more distinct or essential graphic for another figure or set. Ultimately, despite designing separate torsos for the previous Guardians of the Galaxy sets Lego considered the reused torso to be an acceptable sacrifice this time for freeing up resources they needed elsewhere, though there's obviously no telling what exactly that higher priority might have been in this specific case.

And yet they were willing to print two different designs for Clayface's eyes and the controls for Catwoman's cycle in TLBM wave. What gives, LEGO?

I think Ragnarok will blow them out of the water. A Lego gladiator ring sounds amazing and I'm just wondering what kind of ship the bigger set will be. I hope the prices are good for the sets too.

Have they already revealed the prices? I think they are $49.99 and $59.99 correct me if I'm wrong guys.

Holy crap! Looking at what seems to be a Thor ragnarok  box art screenshot of gladiator hulk. The shoulder pad isn't blue. I can't see the rest, but hulk looks amazing!

Is that the one got leaked in HK market, or a different picture?

It's a screenshot of the box art, only hulk is shown.

No offense, but your info has been off lately, so it's hard to believe what you re saying. And that Gladiator Hulk was leaked earlier so you didn't reveal anything new tbh.

I see, so it is similar in the pics that we've already gotten? Hulk does have tattoo on the right side of shoulders?

Same. But hoping that it's true. If only you can tell us something new in that set that is believable.

No offense taken, I completely understand. My source was a fraud, but I have a good friend who sends me the screenshots. Just trying to tell you guys what I can :)

Again, those were presumably considered more essential. The former in particular was key to making the brick-built figure similarly expressive to his depiction in the movie (in a set that didn't already have a sticker sheet to add stickers to).

It's also a matter of different sets and themes getting different budgets. The Lego Batman Movie is a HUGE thing for Lego (as unlike GotG2, they're co-developing it and their brand identity will be an essential part of it). It should be no surprise that, like with high-profile "Big Bang" theme launches, Lego is devoting a disproportionate amount of resources toward that. By comparison, Guardians of the Galaxy is just another licensed theme. It's also based on a movie that is rated PG-13, limiting its audience moreso than The Lego Batman Movie. And from what I've read in discussions, despite generally being successful, the previous GotG sets still had had a tendency to be shelf-warmers. All of those factors are ones that could potentially contribute to the sequel's tie-in sets getting a lower budget.

Even the budget of individual sets applies—while Clayface's printed parts were in a mid-sized set with only one other unique minifigure (who themselves only had two different printed parts), Gamora is in a larger set with several other figs (several of whom did not appear in other sets and/or had their own unique prints). So in that case, the budget for that individual set may well have been stretched thinner and required some sacrifices—namely, two figures with different physiques but matching uniforms compromising on the same torso print.

That would be great! I haven't figured out how to fix mine yet, and I'm not sure if I will.

I finally had some time to take a few pictures. I hope this helps to those who wish to modify their Vol. 1 Milanos.

I finally had some time to take a few pictures. The only problem is that I do not remember how to upload photos from Flickr to Eurobricks, so I have a link to a Flickr album that contains pictures and instructions for the cockpit  modification. I hope this helps to those who wish to modify their Vol. 1 Milanos.

Cool modification, wonder how can we fill the gap in both sides.

I appreciate the pictures. Imo it lacks the smoothness of the front piece in the new milano. But that doesn't come in yellow I think. Still a nice mod.

I just got Aeysha's Revenge and I really like it. I did not like the main vehicle when pictures first surfaced as it just looks like a submarine but I gotta say it's much nicer in hand. It's well designed and feels solid. I quite like the sliding cockpit feature and Yondu and Baby Groot look fantastic. I like the little drone too. Aeyesha looks good but I'm not too keen on the blue jumpsuit, I would've preferred a more regal looking minifig with some more gold. Starlord looks fine but honestly not a big deal for me, I have both of the previous versions but the Cap hairpiece works better for him I think. I think my favorite new piece is Yondu's fin. I can see a lot of great potential for the piece.

Sets arrived today... couple of issues;
- In Ayesha's Revenge, the flicking mechanism piece is incredibly loose and does not connect to the technic pin with any friction. I'm going to have to get a replacement for it.
- In Ayesha's Revenge, the sliding mechanism has a lock-in piece via a technic pin this will eventually break the pin or become loose from opening/closing.

Mine had the same issue with the technic piece so I don't think it was a flaw, especially considering they use a dark red slope piece to hold it in place. I don't really think the piece used in the locking feature will wear out enough to break it unless you slide it back and forth over and over again a hundred times a day for a couple years. Admittedly I find myself picking it up and sliding it open and closed on occasion just because there's something satisfying about it. They've used that kind of locking mechanism for years now so I'm not terribly concerned by it.

Wow! That means there's a 50% chance it isn't blue!

Thanks so much! I don't know if I'll modify my old one, as I'm honestly fine with the blue cockpit glass. Maybe I'll try the modification with the new Milano piece and order an extra if I like it. Thanks again!

A solution might be to design an entire top segment including the window piece that would fold downwards. Alternatively sloped pieces may work.

Been thinking that perhaps introducing a similar mechanism to the Ayesha's Revenge Submarine/Mining thing might be needed - potentially having the entire figure layer of the Milano be removeable from the back of the vessel so that anything above can be kept where it is.

The box art is very similar to this poster, just without the flashy red and blue background. Thor is in the same position, i believe Hulk is in a different position with his right arm forward, but yeah, the design of Hulk is the same as the poster below so once again - the armour piece is not going to be bright blue, but instead some kind of metallic silvery blue as shown. The Bright blue is clearly unfinished.

I think you are right about the technic piece, it's probably just how the piece is designed. As for the locking feature, mine bends the pin inwards slightly because there is a tiny bit of wiggle in the set due to the design when the top piece is moved back. I also find myself using the mechanism often, other than the wiggle it's a good design and i hope more submarine style vessels feature it because it would probably be quite airtight (though i have'nt tested this) I think the locking mechanism would probably be better fixed with a small piece on the back which could be locked and unlocked for easy sliding.

@Scarilian Have you seen the Box art too? How about the other figs?

I'm on about the top right corner of the boxes which show the movie versions of Thor and Hulk. I'm unsure if the other person has box-art images showing the hulk Lego figure itself.

@Amazing Bricks

If you see "Grandmaster" from the Gladiator set or the "Bruce Banner (about to change to Hulk)" that may help to validate your comments more as being legitimate - given these two figures in particular are new and we have no idea what they are going to do with them so details would be fresh.

Oh, I see. MCU movie doesn't use the figs itself in top right corner design.

but yeah, if you could also give us an idea how they made the head piece of Hela. Hahahaha. That will be awesome.

So there's a new Guardians trailer out- looks like the drones (in the Ayesha set) are supposed to be able to fit people in them. So it's slightly disappointing no one can fit in the Lego ones, but at least they nailed the overall look of them!
