ToaDraco Posted August 4, 2016 Posted August 4, 2016 Sweet, Coulson and Lola? I'm sold. I wonder if we'll be getting other agents in it? Btw anyone who hasn't, give the show a shot. Season one is a bit rough but it really takes off in season 2. Quote
Marvelous Spidey Posted August 4, 2016 Posted August 4, 2016 I'm really excited. I love having more Shield characters. Having Coulson, Fury and Maria Hill is really exciting for me personally. I do understand the point of rather having more recent characters though. I would LOVE a Daredevil. Quote
HawkLord Posted August 4, 2016 Posted August 4, 2016 Yes. Not AoS based? I'll take it. Here's hoping for Coulson with BFG and maybe Maria Hill. Or even a scene with Loki using updated hair. Quote

I just started watching it (having already seen Jessica Jones), and I have to say that I wish Lego would do at least one set for the TV shows. Would it really be that hard to just make a Defenders set based on the show next year? I want a Jessica Jones figure and a Daredevil!! Quote
Battlinpanther Posted August 4, 2016 Posted August 4, 2016 I mentioned way earlier (possibly in another thread) but I doubt Lego will make a Defenders set. Those shows are most decidedly not for kids and Marvel seems to want to make sure kids don't think they are. Quote

Daredevil could be done with the new-ish Black Panther turned around. All they have to do is put him in a Spider-Man or Avengers Assemble set like with Ghost Rider or the Iron Man Scuba and Space suits with printing that is semi-MCU inspired and semi-Comic inspired that could work in any display and we'd be golden. I think Daredevil at the very least is possible in the next year or two. May even become the next Coulson; a figure clamored for by the public for a while until TLG gives in. Quote

Lego has already proven they can loophole their way around getting what could be regarded as "not kid friendly" characters into sets. Take a look at Suicide Squad from DC, they managed to make a set featuring many of the characters who appear in the upcoming movie, but didn't tie the set into the movie itself. (Personally I don't think that's an issue, or that SS is pushing the "kid friendly" but there are some that would argue that). What I'm saying is if Lego can create a set featuring "darker" characters into a normal comic based set, surely they could sneak some Defenders characters into Comic based Marvel sets. Amazing Bricks Posted August 4, 2016 Posted August 4, 2016 An USM based set would be fine, just curious who the villain of the set would be. Quote

craggy Posted August 4, 2016 Posted August 4, 2016 The D2C doesn't have to directly tie in with a movie though does it. I'm personally hoping for an X-Mansion or Baxter Building. Marvel/Disney are severely reducing their marketing and merchandising of the X- and FF franchises, have been for a while now, which is a bit sad, but sort of understandable for a few different reasons. Don't expect any X-Men or FF sets any time soon. Quote

Don't expect any X-Men or FF sets any time soon. Not quite. Hasbro is releasing two X-Men themed waves in their Marvel Legends line and Lego has an upcoming MM set featuring Wolvie and Magneto. It does really seem like the ban is being lifted somewhat in the case of X-Men. Quote

An USM based set would be fine, just curious who the villain of the set would be. Given both of your track records, I feel like you are hinting at USM Spider-Man / Daredevil Teamup vs. Kingpin (possibly as a bigfig). Of course, I could be projecting what I want here ... I always considered Daredevil off-limits to Lego due to the adult-themed show, but NOW I think it could still be possible, especially if any of the Defenders show up in Avengers Infinity (even as background characters). A Coulson figure/set is exciting, but it does come way too late for the character, doesn't it? It's not AoS-based, so possibly a reference to his appearances in the USM cartoon, or he takes the role of the "generic cop" figure the way Capt. Stacey did, so the set is not actually about him at all. Edited August 4, 2016 by linnormlord Quote
Rookie875 Posted August 4, 2016 Posted August 4, 2016 Does anyone else feel like this January all of the Marvel sets will be flat out fan service? I mean first She-Hulk then Coulson. I'm excited to see what else we will get in the other two sets. Quote
The Arrow Posted August 4, 2016 Posted August 4, 2016 I'm so glad were finally getting Agent Coulson, cant wait to see how this set looks, next years going to be an expensive year! Quote

Tom Jurassic Posted August 4, 2016 Posted August 4, 2016 So we know the Coulson minifigure is confirmed, but I'm interested - is the Lola actually confirmed as well? I haven't seen any of our official sources comment on the car as far as I am aware. I am incredibly excited for this. I imagine his appearance will be exactly as seen in the game (My profile picture), but it will still be brilliant to have an official Coulson and a suit with a SHIELD Badge. I hope he includes The Destroyer Quote

Tom Jurassic Posted August 4, 2016 Posted August 4, 2016 Yeah, she's coming as well. Awesome - thanks Justin! Any idea of what price bracket the set will fit in? Sounds like it could be our £20, similar to the Venom set with Fury and Car Quote
Khscarymovie4 Posted August 4, 2016 Posted August 4, 2016 Yeah, she's coming as well. Wait, so it's going to be a non Lego AOS set with Coulson and Lola? Quote

Sir Gareth Posted August 4, 2016 Posted August 4, 2016 (edited) Any idea of what price bracket the set will fit in? $30-$50. ...it's going to be...non-AoS... Yes, it's a comic-based set including both Agent Coulson and L.O.L.A. Edited August 4, 2016 by Sir Gareth Quote
Tom Jurassic Posted August 4, 2016 Posted August 4, 2016 $30-$50. Hmmm, so the set will have a little more to it. Thanks for the info, bud! Do you know how faithful Lola is to the game representation? I know fans have already recreated that particular model in real bricks. Quote
